Great place with delicious food and warm, welcoming people. Dudley was the best host, always willing to make us feel comfortable. Totally worth it!

We had a great time at Dudley's. He helped us with all our requests and cooked for us various sri lankan dishes. One night his sone played for us traditional sri lankan music.

I‘ve been three weeks to sri lanka and I definitely can say that my stay at dudleys guesthouse was the best in sri lanka i‘ve been to. Dudley is a very friendly and accommodating host. He helped me to save money (organzied a safari with other guests of him) and in the evening he prepares dinner for all of his guests. That‘s really amazing to learn to know others in that place and talk about their experiences. The rooms are very clean and big and I also had an ac. There is also a quite big and gorgeous garden. All in all I really enjoyed my stay at Dudley‘s guesthouse and I definitely will come back there!

Very nice place, you feel like ur in the jungle. Mr. Dudley is a very friendly and helpful host for all matters. Best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka so far. Clean n tidy rooms. Dont miss this place.

Great place down a back dirt road. The owner was a chief for an number years before he started this place. He cooked dinner one night with 12 different curry dishes. Ummm Ummmm good!

It's the best place to stay in Habarana, while sightseeing Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura. We have checked 3 other places before we finally got to Dudley's place and that was it! Don't hesitate — this is definitely the place, where you want to stay. His wife is a great cook. Mr. Dudley will help you in anything you want. Starting from cold beer to great safari. They prepared great diner during which they described all traditional dishes. Awesome desert and entertainment by their kids playing drums. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Location is good starting point for all the trips. If you are traveling by bus (it's not so close to bus stop, but probably just call him and he will get you to/from bus stop). It's very quite place and you can meet there other very friendly travelers like you! I strongly recommend that place!

The price (44, 40 usd) per night for this place is a rip off. Worth perhaps half! Terrible room with sheets full of stains, the bathroom with mirror all dusty, smelly pillow.
Breakfast (in Sri Lanka) inedible. Especially that he is presented as the specialty of Mrs. Dudley!
To request a receipt (as the asking price they added taxes to 11%) initial smiles have disappeared. A thousand apologies until they did the receipt. Just checked out they canceled the reservation made with booking to avoid our review! That's why they have such high ratings! As soon as someone shows a problem, just delete!
We asked for a scooter for a day and they asked for 2000 rupees a day (when then discovered that the normal rates are 1200-1300 rupees! )
When we asked for info to go to Kandy by bus we were discouraged in all ways (informing us that are uncomfortable, that probably would have stayed standing, that taking so long etc), and when in 2 hours we arrived in Kandy comfortably seated, paying 120 rupees each, against 50 usd that asked us to accompany us.
First time I have such a situation, especially beguiled by high faces of these gentlemen on the various booking sites!

Cannot fault this guesthouse it was fabulous. The hosts and their two sons were so friendly and hospitable. The room was a good size, bathroom was massive and all lovely and clean. Breakfast was a delectable Sri Lankan feast. Delicious! Their restaurant was good also my partner ate there when I wasn't well! when I wasn't feeling well they really cared about my health and helped my partner organise another place to stay (they were full) and travel arrangements to our next stop. They can organise tuktuk for the sights also which we did. Its a easy stroll to the town also. They truly went over and beyond. Thank you!
