Great location. Good food & the chef Mr. Bandara made us dinner on special request Friendly staff. Overall a pleasant stay.

Beautiful ambience. Food is good. Out of the world service. All the staff are warm and smiling. Rooms are good and comfortable. I particularly liked the colour coordination.

Luxurious resort, direct on the beach, that's very clean. There is a security-man 24h per day, so you can take a bath at night and you'll feel hear very safe. The rooms are big, very comfortable and clean, with a big bathroom. I loved this resort! I would like to come back everytime that I make my holiday in Sri Lanka!

Very nice place to spend relaxing weekend. Warm welcome by friendly staff who always willing to help. Very good meals with variety of food items. Specious rooms with all facilities including TV, multimedia systems etc. There are several beautiful places to take snaps in and around the hotel. Nice swimming pool with 2 kids pools. Nearby beach also like a pool, you can enjoy with sea bath safely. If you walk along the beach you can see several sea creatures also.

Wonderful!. Warm welcome by the 'reception staff. Rooms are very spacious with a tv, multimedia system, mini bar and a safe. Restaurant is also very good. Wide variety of food and friendly staff. Pool also very attractive only 1.2 m death and there are 2 baby pools. We enjoyed a lot our stay.

An excellent beach resort in Pasikudah. Even though it is slightly expensive, the price is definitely worth the value. However, it is better to book rooms with beach view, even though it is slightly more expensive. It has a very well maintained natural environment and has really good service.

I spent two days with full board package, Amethyst Resort is a very nice place to be relaxed for a weekend. Foods are Delicious. Nice beach view and the very nice swimming pool faced to the beach. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and nice. Front office staff, room boys and pool guys are very friendly and outstanding support.

New resort in good shape. Kind service. Very clean and large pool. Quiet place (during off-season) Very good food but prices in the restaurant are as high as in Europe. Large and clean rooms with sea or river view. This place is perfect for recreation for couples or families. I recommend it.

This is a good place to spend the day calm and quiet and sceneries are very beautiful. Very helpful, flexible staff and management. Delicious foods prepared according to western and local recipes. Calm environment. Beautiful garden. Beach is very good for swimming and to sea Corals.

The hotel itself looks like an upmarket army camp. The lake in the middel of the resort might come in useful thanks to reported crocodiles. The highlight however is the pub and bar. Good drinks selections but best are the low and all inclusive prices! A rare model. And a lesson all other overpriced resorts nearby should learn. This is a way to attract customers.

Calm place with massive rooms. Food was delicious but not much sea food items. The sea like a pool with very mild waves. Great holiday experience.

We had a great experience with the resort as they offered us a low rate for B&B during off-season. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom is awesome and the proximity to the beach great. The staff is very friendly and helps with everything. Highly recommended!

Family resort. The food is excellent. The beach is rather beautiful but is not the prettiest. Unlike hotels nearby, it is possible to bathe without fear as there is a little depth and little coral.

You can enjoy the beautiful sea view from the rooms. It gives a good relaxation. Staff of Amethyst very much appreciated.

Nice Beach to have wonderful experience. But resort is unsafe. Crocodile is freely moving in the resort premises. We found one crocodile at the bridge in the night, it was horrifying… There are plenty of crocodile are in the canal. Be vigilant at night specially kids movement. Food is worst. We have tasted very bad Lankan curries there. Looking forward a change…

Like it soo much. We had a sea view room with fresh sea wind with us. Had a soo funny time there in the beach as they are having a huge lovely beach. No disturbing from otheres. Love it soo much. The staff was so lovely. They welcomed us with a fresh welcome drink. From that onwards we had a good careness from them. Thank u Amathyst Resort … hope to come soon…

The resort is very beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The rooms are spacious and have big bathrooms. We had seaview rooms, which means when you open your rear patio door you are just metres away from the beach. The food is good but limited number of options. We went in end of June '16 and there were not much seafood. Which was disappointing for me. The staff is friendly and provides a good service.

Best place for long stay in pasikudah… Lake view makes it more relaxing.

Beautiful beach lovely rooms and clean sheets … one of the biggest properties in Passikudha. Food is average but who wants to eat when u have a beautiful beach … love sight for snorkeling … overall it's a beautiful place and worth staying.

Location and beach. Really liked the pool. Didn't like the kitchen! Mainly local dishes and a little European. Around no tourism infrastructure. If you stopped only with breakfast and dinner, most likely will have dinner there as well, but only for a fee.

I've had a beautiful experience over there it was wonderful the people there were very friendly and I would recommend you to go there.

Amethyst resort is architected in a very basic yet adequate way which would definitely suffice the needs of most people. A great beach, a nice swimming pool And a big garden are the star points of the resort. The staff here is very friendly and will help you at request. The small and simple room did not affect the following rating at all yet it could be a minor set back. But the food was horrible in all ways. Out of the 6 meals I had during my stay I liked only breakfast. None of the food was labeled, which is quite dangerous for those who have allergies. The table cloths weren't changed for individual meals and had the same stains which were there a meal before. The soup was undrinkable on all occasions and the variety was low. Once I ordered a noodles which was completely burnt. The dessert was Useless. It just wasn't up to the standards of even a 3 star hotel. The pool as I mentioned above was good yet around the pool were planks which were rotted and loose. The electricity went off often and the air conditioner did not work for 15 minutes. The Tv didn't work in some rooms. My bedsheet had a hole in it too. I have been in certain other hotels in this area and this is definitely the worst. This place would be ideal for anyone who wanted to enjoy the beach and pool at a low cost (compared to other hotels here which are quite expensive). Yet I personally don't think It is worth. But it is nice as a simple chalet type hotel.
