A real gem in the centre of town close to everything with the cutest rooftop bar, loveliest staff and just beautifully designed rooms. Once you stay you will never stray to another hotel in Alicante.

Tastefully decorated rooms, nice cold fridge with cheap drinks that are refilled daily, lovely balcony with view and staff are just lovely. Terrace is a great place to chill.

Stayed here for one night during a trip to Spain with my girlfriend. Located in the old part of town right next to a cosy little square filled with restaurants. The room was gorgeous! And the view from the room was only topped by the view from the roof top bar. Breakfast was decent and staff was really smiling and helpful. There was a bit of clutter and mess in some corners of the hotel but other than that everything was just perfect. Even the prices in the mini bar was fair.

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and would need a set up and a modernization. It still enjoys a great location, in the middle of the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also there is the option to park in the hotel garage and breakfast is pleasant.

I loved it. A charming place. Enjoy a great drink on the terrace. And above all the young girl at the front desk a wonderful person and helpful superior

This is a quirky hotel with a real 'boutique' feel. Great room at a surprisingly reasonable rate. The best bit is the lovely lady checking us in, who went just a bit further than she needed to, making the experience very intimate and personable. HIGHLY recommended!

Beautiful hotel, full of charm and character with friendly and helpful staff. Right in the centre of the old town, close to everything. As a result it's quite noisy, but we expected that as we were there for Las Hogueras. Our room was lovely with two windows, shutters and balconies. The double glazing got rid of a lot of the noise and thank God for the air conditioning! Loved it, and will definitely stay again!

1-a lot of noise in the rooms you hear everything from the room next door and from the upstairs. Bad soundproofing
2-the window has no shutter and it enters clarity from the first hour and you wake up.
3-The WC and shower are together does not seem practical but quite the opposite if someone is Ducja and the other wants to use the toilet you wet your feet or shoes to get to the toilet.
4-We were given small single beds (it was paired)
5 — No self parking enough seats
6-"Positive", we were allowed to checkout later (at 5pm instead of 12h) paying €38 more. And good location near beach and bars/restaurants.

What a little gem, right in the hub of the Old Town, bars and restaurants all around, we had a superior double which was lovely, very quirky boutique hotel, a fridge was useful so we could put milk and water in from supermarket (200yards away), I advise guests take their own tea/coffee. Breakfast was fruit, youhurts, cold meats, ham, breads and toast, all very good. Staff were so nice and helpful, looked after luggage on day of checkout and we could relax on the fab rooftop bar terrace. Definitely staying here when we return to Alicante.

Very nice hotel in the middle of the old town, at the end of a pedestrian zone. Modern, spacious rooms, stylishly furnished. Adequate breakfast (it's all there) — until 12pm! And even then, it won't be immediately put away!
However, there is a lot of improvement in the bathroom. I hate shower gel from a paper bag. This is youth hostel style and a luxury suite with a marble bathtub not appropriate.
Overall highly recommended.

A very nice and stylish hotel. Old and modern building at the same time. The area is perfect for walking and eating. The bars around all recommended.

This very well linpio attentive but has no toilet brush and say it and tell you that the Gefe not want to put it.

Quite quirky but very nice budget hotel. Excellent location in the old town with lots bars and restaurants nearby. Great rooftop terrace with views up castle hill and town. Would definitely stay here again.

A little jewel in the old town. Original floors and tiling. Roof beams and futniture from previous life. Being sympathetically restored by the owner. Modern bathrooms with walk-in showers combined with antique furniture and chandeliets. Always our first choice hotel. Carmen the receptionist is a great asset too.

We stayed in Alicante twice last year — both times in this hotel. It has its own style, so make sure to check pictures before booking — but for us it was so cozy and… I dont know it feels lile that place has soul, very good aura. Tasty breakfast, also terrace or the roof for some wine with a view to the Santa Barbara castle. Whenever in Alicante I only want this hotel — just fell in love with it Also amazing location.

Central Hotel, quiet, the standard room the bathroom is tiny but it supplements the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff as well as the breakfast which is enough to start the day, I'll be back.

Charming hotel in small building and tastefully restored, very comfortable rooms, very cozy and central, close to the streets full of restaurants and nightlife, has a terrace with wonderful views of the city and the castle of Santa Barbara Where to drink and good music, the treatment of Super friendly management.

Perfect location at the most nice little square with many restaurants in the old town. Nice personal and nice clean rooms, but no balconies. Breakfast is however mimimalistic.

Nice place. Rooms are clean and adequate facilities. Air con is provided in rooms. Excellent location, restaurants, bars and beach are right on the door stop.

Only the interior of the building is worth seeing: restored and decorated down to the smallest detail. It is perfect for a romantic night… provided it is not the night of Thursday, Friday or Saturday. What why? Because Les Monges is located in the historic centre of Alicante and at least one of the streets that linda switches impossible to 3.00 to 4.00 in the morning, when people coming out comes from El Barrio and lowers itself to the port. The vast majority, tipsy; all, screaming.
There is little that the hostel can do to avoid it… It's a shame, but if you stay in this hostel, try to give you an inner room.
