Palacio de Sansol

This is the most incredible place. Seriously, like a palacial version of an Albergue. The hospitalero was awesome, greeted us so kindly even though we arrived before it officially opened for the day. I can't speak more highly of this place. Ooh and the cafe/bar/restaurant just down the road — seriously delicious! Loved this place.

After my bike crash on the Camino, I spend 4 days at Palacio Sansol. I couldn’t dream of a better place to get “stuck”.
The building in the quite little town is impressive. I feel lucky to spend time in a historical, nicely renovated unique place like Palacio Sansol. Many thanks to Menno to make my stay pleasant and comfortable.
If you’re around, this place is worth stopping for!

Excellent place! The best value on the Camino. Cold drinks available in the fridge, lovely terraces available, laundry on site and lockers in the room. The beds were comfy and the rooms get really dark. The shower pressure and temp was Devine — no little shelf available in shower. Menno was playing the piano and I drifted off to the best nap.
The Camino meal is traditional for this place. It wasn’t my favorite but plenty of people were eating seconds! I ate at the nearby restaurant for lunch and dinner on my rest day — YUM! I would recommend this place over any others in the area. We had one girl switch places to stay here after 1 night down the next town as the Palace is just better. Buen Camino!

This is certainly one of the more impressive albergues on the Camino. It's situated in a former monastery which has been tastefully renovated.
Dorms were well equipped although not very spacious. New (bunk) beds.
Unfortunately, the outside (especially the terrace) haven't been taken good care of. They were plastered with bird droppings. Cleanliness would benefit from an upgrade.

We stayed here in a common room and it was very clean and comfortable. Our comino meal was very lovely. The village was Also beautiful. You should really try to make stop here.

This is a beautiful place with a lovely welcome from the Hospitalero. The hostel has been beautifully renovated and it is a pleasure to stay there. The only thing that could be improved is the food or … the cook. The menu, which has been the same for years, should be changed. Really, really, really.

Really beautiful old stone building recently renovated. It has many different areas for relaxing in. A couple of terraces. All the facilities are here.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Nice terrace with views, kitchen and laundry facilities. Sadly no pilgrims dinner the night I was there, but the staff gave advice on options in the village.

Very friendly staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. The rooms have lockers and are very clean. The showers are very small and have no shelf for soap. I’d absolutely recommend this place for other pilgrims to stay.

I thought this was an excellent place to stay. Beautifully restored former palace with interesting history. Communal dinner, but non pilgrims would be okay to stay here. Fine views of the countryside from the private rooms up top.

This beautifully restored palace was one of the highlights of our trip! It was inspiring to see all the work done, and everyone was very friendly. We especially loved our room and the views!

Definitely the best stay in Sansol or even all the Camino! Amazing communal dinner with fresh soup, tortillas and fruits, they keep going around to offer you more so you won’t leave hungry for sure! Breakfast is also nice. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.
The building itself is and old renovated palace so there’s much history between the walls but it also feels homey. The only downside I could find was that it was a bit cold at night as the terrace doors were open🥶

It's a must stay. This town is so small but the castle-reformed hostel is fantastic. Beautifully furnished and very-well equipped. Appreciation comes out directly without question.

All very beautiful & pristine. Desayuno for 7€ was a good value plus each table has a shaker of paprika :)

It was pleasure to stay there. Room condition was okay and such a nice dinner.

We were attending the bsb at Navarra and this was the perfect location in a stunning area, staff and owner were very friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere, the room was very good value, comfortable, excellent showers. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

What an amazing building!
The service was excellent.
The private room with 2 separate beds was super well renovated, soundproof and beds were comfortable.
Will definitely come back next Camino.
PS. We have not tasted the pilgrim dinner nor the breakfast.
