A great hotel that is near the capital of Mahon. Upgraded to all inclusive which was a good thing really, as there isn’t much locally to buy in terms of food and drink to consume in your room.

Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Adults only. Great place to chill and lovely eateries a 5 min stroll away. Idyllic spot for those wanting a hassle free chilled break.

A breathtaking view, the hotel is design. The breakfast buffet of good quality. The hot tubs on the terrace are very nice despite the water temperature a little cold in this season.
The little less, I was asked 8 euros at the time of departure from the hotel for having used once the sauna … a little borderline.

Hotel is very adult and chic! no shops within the hotel but supermarkets are close by.
Not in my opinion an all inc option as not able to have certain things at certain times which was frustrating.
Rooms very comfortable and best air con I’ve have ever had, very quiet and effective.
A lot of weekends and short stay holidaymakers which means a large turnover

Lovely stay. The staff are amazing and all the things that people complained about have been rectified. Fresh water tea and coffee in the rooms everyday. Breakfast is great lovely choice of hot and cold including real sausages UK style. If you ask for assistance at reception no matter how trivial it is delt with immediately. The only reason not to give a 5 star is if you like a big pool then it is limited here but more than made up for by the roof top area which is brilliant. Location is fab.

Breakfast has alot to offer. The hotel is clearly understaffed which results in very poor, slow and inefficient service. In addition, I left behind a fine new beach dress in the room. Thinking I was staying a Barcelo 4/5 star hotel, I called after my departure to return to pick up the dress. The housekeeping claimed “not to have found the dress” and I had no assistance from the staff management to search for the dress or have an internal investigation.

The (strategically located) property offers pretty much everything, rental, gym, spa, bar, restaurant and pool.
By the way, being adult only, it turns out to be very relaxing.
The sky bar on the 5th floor almost does not feel, also because during the week it closes at 11 p. M. By the way seen the 6 hot tubs on the terrace overlooking the harbour, it is really very impressive.
The rooms are very nice, functional and really equipped with everything (except the bidet), they are just a little small (in any case the trolleys you can tuck under the bed)
Good and varied breakfasts.
The restaurant is a good and cheap alternative to those all along the harbour. Guests can dine at a buffet for 15 euros (excluding drinks).
On the floor, you can dine on the "port" in a room that is always part of the property, but accessible only from the street.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
ONE DOLENT NOTE : The cleanliness is to be improved even if it is not dramatic as a thing.

We have gone to the top and once there (already changed with the swimsuit on) we have been made down to pay and so repeatedly, in the end one of those responsible did not want us to sell the tickets telling us that it was complete when up there were up to 10 people. Very little information and lousy communication between employees. I recommend hotel carlos third also in is castell with the same views and for the same price (15e) breakfast Buffet included. A greeting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms of modern design and decoration, although modernity leaves some deficiencies such as that there is little privacy when using the toilet.
The location next to the port, the pools and the jacuzzis on the terrace excellent. The quiet atmosphere is a gift, especially for the policy of not accepting minors as guests.
It is a pity that for many hours at nightfall it is quite difficult to park the car nearby, although in the middle of August the whole town is up, and it can be understandable.
The restaurant was very good, the bar service too, without great pretensions.
Very grateful to all the staff for their impeccable attention.

Update: Review for the Blue Sky bar (I feel I had to make an update as the low review was not fully justified. The location and the venue itself deserve 4-5 stars, but as my previous comment mentioned the bad service was the main reason for the dissatisfaction. After 5 minutes sitting at a table without any notice I left as no attention was paid at all, and it was not busy. Seems like a single "man" was not welcome…)

Try the 5th Floor — a bit expensive but the 5th floor is definitely worth the price.

The location was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I spent a week in solitary T. I. The hotel is a little old and the floors were carpeted, and the rooms that overlook the sea can't keep the air conditioning during the day, I was in a mini suite and the day could not be in, very friendly staff, the views to the estuary of the port very good we saw the cruise ships, the food good, and very close to the center, does not have a beach close to are small coves there.

Overall very good hotel, located in a very quiet area, rooms overlooking the port of Mahon. Variety of breakfasts and dinners. Ideal for relaxing.

The staff was exceptionally nice to us (very much above and beyond what I expect even from an upscale hotel), the views are great (even poolside rooms, the inner courtyard is well maintained and pretty). If you want a large, luxury hotel, this is for you.

Lovely hotel couldn't fault it, staff all very helpful. Breakfast good plenty of choice, will come again, and recommend it.

We have just arrived Home (Saturday 14th Oct) after 2 weeks at the Barcelo Hamilton Menorca, I recently had a new Knee replacement which meant I had a problem climbing stairs from the pool area up to the Bar I was given permission to use the Lift which the Staff use to take food from the kitchen up to the bar, I was shocked to see the state of this lift it was Totally Unclean. I asked to see the Manager And told her the Problem, I also told Her that I could Not Enjoy my food in the Hotel if the Lift was like that taking food to customers what is the Kitchen like, She just said the Kitchen was inspected every Month. The Lift was cleaned up with a Brushed Floor, IF the Manager had taken the time to actually go up in the lift She would have seen the Food Particles and souse, insects behind the Door, IF any Staff read this letter JUST GO TAKE A LOOK.

Great hotel, sky bar great views bar expensive.

Nice hotel in a very good place. Had beautyfull view from the rooms and the jacuzzi bar at the roof. Nice coctails, good enough breakfast, every day cleaning. Kind stuff that was working hard. There was some problems though offering some facilities for examble pool towels. It is supposed to be a luxury hotel but it was not as high as the price they charge for a double room.

Excellent place for an adults only quiet holiday. The accommodation is first class with lovely rooms and public areas. A comfortable large bed with fabulous views over the harbour. The dining room has an outside balcony and every meal has been very enjoyable with a good varied menu. There is a large sundeck on the roof of the hotel with hot tubs and a bar which is popular. The ground floor pool area is quiet and there have been no problems getting a sunbed. On the downside the pool is rather small and only really suitable for a dip to cool off. Not recommended for anyone who likes a swim. Also the bedroom and toilet are quite small and not really suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. These are small negative points and have not detracted from our enjoyment of the hotel and our holiday.

Beautiful location, from the hotel you see pass the boats that come and go from Mahon. Close by is the old fishermen's Marina Cales fonts where you can find shops and restaurants now.

Staff are incredible. The location is amazing, and you have the ocean as your backyard pool. What more could you want? Highly recommend coming here if you just want to completely chill out!

We have only been here for two days but my wife and I have found the Barcelo Hamilton to be everything we expected. Friendly staff, amazing meals and very reasonably priced drinks.

The hotel is very nice, only the rooms are a bit too small. In a rather secluded resort I would not have expected such closeness.
The Sky Bar is open from October only on weekends.

Had drinks in the blu bar. Nice gin but unfortunately the waiter hadn't showered…

A hotel very nice, with some views amazing, the service great and the treatment.

If you're a resident or visitor in Menorca, I recommend you stop at the bar who have put at the top of the hotel. Stunning views. Good drinks and good atmosphere.

Beautiful Es Castelle and its friendly inhabitants will make you feel so relaxed with their warmth and laid back outlook. The hotel offers fantastic views of the harbour which resembles a post card no matter where you look. Stayed two weeks in August/September and will definitely return.

Dire! That's the word. My husband and I, we close the holidays, and I say close, why the paid djamos, the day 7/1/2013, five days for 8/21/2013, is dcir, a month and a half. Well, our surprise, was arriving with all our enthusiasm, and (d) the many couples that fuern coming back, is that not tnian rooms, clear, q we derived the Hamilton village, nothing for tnia to do with which we had caught, by views, because we didn't want children, finally, they, no more they sent us to another hotel, and you know why? Because it catch everything, is dcir, deal with having the hotel full, and then, leftovers, lead them to another of the same string, so d easy, have filled two hotels d people, because obviously that is full, is that have made new, remodeled, c on jacuzzi, etc. Finally, spent our illusion, by backing, by no dcir how bad treaties that we went to the opposition and not want to go, you know, if you go to this hotel, you you can find with the unpleasant surprise that nothing is how it had dreamed of. A greeting.

The hotel is lovely, recommended the jacuzzi on top floor with some incredible views. We hope to return again.
