Comitas Floramar

We stayed 3 nights in a studio apartment after walking the cami trail. The apartment was clean and spacious and beds extremely comfortable. We upgraded to half board and glad we did as food is excellent. What makes this hotel stand out are the staff. So friendly and welcoming. Reception staff are a credit to hotel along with excellent hardworking catering staff. I will definitely be back.

We stayed in Comitas Floramar in April 2026 and loved our time in the hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the atmosphere in the hotel was great as a result. The restaurant food was very good, the location is superb and the facilities were better than we were expecting. Our children really enjoyed the gym, pool and football/volleyball courts (inside squash courts). The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Overall a brilliant stay and we could see ourselves returning again.

We had a fantastic experience at the Floramar. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and clean, and the pool area is fantastic, with stunning views over the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Michelle on reception, and the restaurant manager. We were self catering, but did eat at the restaurant a couple of times, and the food was fresh and tasty.
Our apartment had everything we needed, and it was well worth the upgrade to a balcony with a pool and see view. — the view was breathtaking.
The only slight drawback was that our room was directly above the restaurant, so when breakfast and dinner were served the noise of chairs scraping on the floor was a little irritating. This could be avoided by pads on the bottom of the chair legs.
The hotel is in a great location, with a couple of stunning bays within walking distance (may be difficult with young children/if mobility is an issue. ) The hotel is located on a hill, but it's a fairly short walk to the beach/restaurants and shops.
I would recommend this lovely hotel, and we would definitely return.

We had 2 self-catering apartments at the Floramar hotel, which had balconies with great views across the pool towards the beautiful bay at Cala Galdana. The apartments had a good sized bedroom, a nice shower room, and good sized sitting/dining/kitchen with everything you would need to cook meals, although we did eat out most of the time. The hotel itself had a nice diningroom and bar where there was entertainment which was very good. Also a nice area around 2 good sized swimming pools (not heated) for sunbathing, with great views across to the beautiful bay and wonderful sandy beach. All of the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and the grounds and pool constantly cleaned too. We ate breakfast on 2 occasions at the hotel which was very good, had a very good selection and good value for money. Cala Galdana is a beautiful bay which is very sheltered and surrounded by lovely scenery. There are some lovely coastal paths to enjoy and gorgeous little bays to explore. Cala Galdana is pretty quiet but does have a good selection of good restaurants nearby and a few small supermarkets where you can buy most essentials but there are bigger supermarkets in Ciutadella like Lidl where we visited a couple of times. We hired a car to do some sightseeing in Ciutadella and Mao and I would recommend car hire which was reasonably cheap.

We have just returned from a week at the Floramar and it was fantastic. Lovely hotel with the friendliest staff. We were a group ranging from 2 years to 48 and we were all catered for. The food was fine, although for the best breakfast options go before 9am. The range of food both at breakfast and dinner was good and all our party ate well. The staff were all great, so helpful. The pool area is lovely although in October the pool was chilly. Book the jacuzzi which every room gets a free session — this was a fab experience and towels are provided and ready for you when you go in.
Cala Galdana is perfect for families — the beach was beautiful and the sea was safe for children. The water was lovely and warm. Lots to explore if you enjoy scenic walks by the sea. Also catch the bus into Ciutadella but be warned the bus gets busy and there are limited services.
Throughly recommend the Floramar!

Overall a fabulous hotel. The staff were amazing — really friendly and accommodating. The food was great. Breakfast has a wide range of English and continental choices, the fresh bread was delicious. The room was brilliant. We were glad to be on the back of the hotel because the balconies are bigger and although we were overlooking the road it was very quiet. The pool was lovely and such a welcome change for very few people to save sunbeds. My only complaint was regarding the use of inflatables in the pool — at times it was Impossible to swim due to ball games & so many lilies etc. It did improve after the kids went back to school thankfully.
We would definitely return, but be sure to go during term time!

Overall a nice stay but I am surprised at the number of people who rate this hotel so highly.
Positives: the location, with a wonderful view of the cove and close to lots of lovely eateries; spacious apartment and balcony; warm and welcoming staff; lovely pool which is big enough for a proper swim; generally quite peaceful in the daytime.
Neutrals: breakfast was as expected for a hotel of this size with enough variety. Fruit juices were limited and the pastries were not of great quality but overall it was ok. The evening entertainment was sometimes a bit loud for a hotel of this size, so it could be quite hard to relax in the evenings. But it usually finished around 10pm so it wasn’t a major problem.
Negatives: we were there towards the end of the season when the hotel was starting to look run down and dirty. There are only two lifts and one of them was out of order for our entire two week stay. On the first day, we didn’t get into our room until 3pm which we wouldn’t have minded if it had been properly cleaned. There was black mould all over the dark bathroom tiles, no doubt the result of a whole season of poor ventilation and half-hearted cleaning. There was a mouldy smell in the bedroom too, and the picture is of the inside of the safe. Worst, our bedroom shutter was broken so we decided to keep it closed. On three separate occasions the cleaner opened it and it got stuck in the mechanism at the top.

Just back from our second wonderful holiday at Hotel Floramar. We were greeted like old friends from the reception team and hugs from the wonderful restaurant staff. Huge thanks to Camilo the restaurant manager (who runs everything like clockwork) Andrea Ines Katrine Julia and Jose who were just the best. The hotel is spotless and the pool area lovely. The rooms are very well appointed with really comfortable beds and great showers. The housekeeping team are excellent keeping our room very clean. We ate at the hotel and the breakfast and evening buffet have to be seen to be believed — absolutely everything you could want and great quality.
Yes the hotel is situated at the top of a hill but if we (77 and 81) can do it anyone can and the view from the hotel is spectacular overlooking Gala Galdana!

Another lovely week spent at the Floramar hotel. This was our second time. Previously we had a sea view but this time booked too late, so had a street view. We were able to enjoy the beautiful seaviews from the pool and the street was entertaining whilst on the large balcony and found it quiet when door closed, though it wasn't over noisy. Rooms have great air con.
Our children, 7, 4, and 2 yr old enjoyed the pools and the beach. Toboggan was a great treat.
We did the hill back up to the hotel daily and it is not that bad, even Grandma and Grandpa took it slow and managed it well.
Supermarket next door is handy.
The Breakfast and Evening meals were well stocked with lovely choices and something for everyone.
We found the hotel clean and all the staff helpful, hard working and happy.

Overall, a good hotel with a fantastic location and stunning views. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made our stay enjoyable.
However, the room cleaning service was disappointing. During our entire week, they only changed the towels and made the bed the sink and shower were never cleaned. In addition, housekeeping often came after 5 PM, which was inconvenient as we wanted to shower and get ready after returning from the beach but didn’t have fresh towels yet.
With a little improvement in housekeeping, this hotel could be an excellent choice.

We stayed as a family of 6, two adults, two 12 year olds and two 18 year olds. We have had a wonderful week and wished we had booked 10 days.
Firstly the hotel is up a steep hill, but that means there are beautiful views over the bay. The pool area is quiet, we always got sunbeds and no one was getting up early to reserve beds (although I did notice one family started to this morning as we left).
We ate lunch a few times, the food is beautiful. Evenings we ate in twice, good selection on the buffet.
Entertainment was on three times, over the week, a saxophone player, dancers and then two singers. All were great, the two singers were outstanding, great evening!
The two bed apartment was very spacious, clean, lots of storage and a lovely view across the bay. The one bed room was huge, with a side view and large balcony. Air con was excellent and both rooms cleaned daily. Coffee machine in the room is great, pods 50 euros, great quality coffee.
In the hotel the kids played table tennis, pool, badminton and football. We used the two jacuzzi pools two, well worth booking if there’s a rainy day. The gym is spacious and well equipped, very hot though. We didn’t use it but there’s an indoor kids playroom for little ones. The ‘treasure chest’ is worth a look at, we borrowed a pair of goggles and left a floatie and football.

Excellent small & friendly hotel with such lovely pleasant staff. We went for 2 wks half board. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We had a sea view room, so pleased that we did as the view is magnificent. Cala Galdana is beautiful. Our apartment was lovely, looks like it had recently been updated/painted. I have Coeliac disease so need Gluten Free food. I informed the chef of this when we booked. Although they are not a dedicated Gluten free hotel, they did their best for me. They cooked my eggs for breakfast in the kitchen separately and did my toast separately. In the evenings one of the chefs showed me what I could eat from the buffet. Food was very nice. The head waiter Camillo is super friendly as were all of them but a very special mention must go to Andrea who is the most helpful, friendliest, smiliest waitress we’ve ever encountered. Entertainment was really good, and took place a few times a week not every night. We had a wonderful two weeks, we hired a car to tour around beautiful Menorca. We will definitely be back and more than happy to stay at Comitas Floramar again.

Lovely hotel good location, friendly and helpful staff. We arrived and were greeted with a warm welcome and asked if we would like any drinks. Could not fault any of the restaurants food and variety was great! Yes the hotel is up a steep hill but anyone without difficulties not a problem. Supermarket next door and beach down hill is lovely walk along the broadwalk a lovely walk and restaurant with toilets on the beach. Lovely stay at cala galdana, and lovely hotel which I thank the lovely cleaniness everyday of our room a true credit to your hotel they work so hard. I definitely recommend this hotel x.

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed half board & had 2 apartments with a side sea view on the 3rd floor. Amazing views & spotlessly clean. Upon arrival we were greeted at reception by Michelle who was very welcoming. Food was very enjoyable, varied & plentiful. We particularly liked that it was a buffet style restaurant as we are picky eaters! The staff in the restaurant were all very attentive & happy in their jobs. Special thanks to maitre de Camilo, waitress Andrea & the lady chef (sorry I didn’t get her name) who my little grandson loved to wave to. The swimming pool was lovely with a separate children’s pool. Plenty of sun beds. The bar staff were all excellent. The hotel is situated up a fairly steep hill which may not be ideal for anyone who isn’t very mobile. This is a hotel we definitely hope to return to & I would highly recommend! The management & staff all seem to care & they take pride in this lovely hotel. Well done & thank you Floramar for a wonderful holiday!

Having not been to Menorca since a child I was a bit apprehensive as to what I would fine. I couldnt have been more wrong. The island is lovely and spotless. This hotel is exactly the same. Staff very friendly and well what a view from the swimming pool terrace! Fabulous. Came on self catering as the price for breakfast we had been offered was over £900. However, they had a deal on and we ended up eating all the time there. How Jet2 could say £900 for 2 adults and a child for 6 days is anyone's guess. Please ask about their food deals there. The apartment was clean and had everything you could want. Would love to go back. Cant recommend it highly enough.

Well equipped apartment. Well located. Lovely staff — very willing to help and make recommendations. Great resort. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Enjoyed the walking — some parts were challenging — most were pretty easy. Beaches are lovely. Sea bed starts off shallow and gently slopes away.

Wonderful experience yet again. We have been here several times and always find it clean and the rooms very good. The staff are always helpful and attentive especially Michelle on reception. Never had a bad experience. First class accommadation.
