Sun Beach

We chose Sun Beach as it was reasonable and we wanted to self-cater. The location is absolutely perfect with everything on your doorstep and a small slope down to the gorgeous beach. I’m sure that during busy times it would be quite noisy but we didn’t have a problem with noise. The rooms had everything we needed and were spotlessly clean. We paid for a sea view and I’m so glad we did as the view is stunning! The staff were so friendly and helpful, an example is on our last day we wanted to use the shower room and the lovely lady on reception gave us two clean towels to use, even thought we’d already checked out. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel great location, rooms are good however instead of one big bed you get single beds pushed together which is kinda sad when you pay this much for a hotel room. The only other thing is the ant problem, make sure you don’t leave anything of food definitely meat or sweet stuff in your room as the ants will get it. Other than that amazing place, very good and helpful staff, great location!

This place is fantastic so close to the beach and shops bars and restaurants. If I could give more stars I would. The staff are lovely I was on 9th floor and could see the sea from my balcony which was so big I couldn't believe it was all mine. In room there's everything you need for a self catering holiday 5

We've just recently stayed at Sun Beach and I can say this place is impeccably clean from the rooms down to the pool area spotless and very well maintained.
Reception team always smiling and always helpful.
Our room was spacious, clean and had everything you need for self catering holiday, even down to little packs of cleaning cloths and sponge which we thought was very useful. The cleaners do an amazing job changing everything every other day and always smiling a great team.
Our room was on the 8th floor with lifts available and the view was amazing looking over to the beach highly recommended.
Although the hotel is in the busier part of Santa Ponsa we had no issues with noise.
Overall I would recommend this hotel and would have no issues rebooking, thank you for a great stay.

Rooms are very good. Everything you need. Spotless clean. We upgraded to a terrace room which was real good for us. Staff are great. Especially Marta on reception, she is so friendly and goes above and beyond to accomodate and makes your stay as pleasant as possible. Come out front door and your on the strip, plenty of shops bars and restaurants.

The staff is what makes this hotel really great. You feel welcome as a guest in their house, not just a customer.
The rooms are ok, but cooking other than breakfast can be a bit tricky. When we stayed there (end June) there was a lot of parties in the neighboring hotel late at night.

We had a room on the first floor above the gym. Didn't experience any late night noise unless actually sat on the balcony. Inside was silent. More noise first thing from the gym but this caused us no issues at all. Room big enough and clean. My only gripe is that there are no mattress protectors on the beds. The sheets aren't fitted so when you rolled over in the night the sheets all moved with you which then left you lying directly on the mattress. Not ideal. Beds were comfy though. I am just not keen on the thought of no protectors on beds. Balcony looked directly onto the rear of the shops. Ask for a higher floor if a view is important but may be this is when you hear the bars etc at night.
We didn't use the pool as we spent time at the beach. Plenty of food and drinking options around. Supermarkets everywhere and a really good coffee shop across the road from the hotel.
There is a washing machine and dryer on the 6th floor and the charge is 3 euro if you need it. Also there is left luggage and a shower room for use once you've checked out.
Hairdryer in our room was good.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Hotel is situated in the most perfect place as its close to everything you need. Rooms are basic but clean and the staff are very friendly. Pool area is ideal and there's plenty of sun loungers. You do get the odd group that put towels down in the morning and go out for the day. The only issue is groups of Irish lads full of drink in the bars that are very close to the hotel singing the same songs all day long. Please learn some new songs. Overall the hotel is spot on but not ideal for families with young kids.

The hotel was OK, some issues we had were very quickly remedied by the always smiling, accommodating and friendly staff.
The hotel has had a lick of paint and is generally OK, and whilst there's no denying it's age, the rooms are pretty standard, albeit a little on the small side if there's more than two of you. The plug sockets are plentiful, but are in awkward places. There is a hairdryer in the shower room though. There's a workable kitchenette, but you'll have to learn to juggle between using the kettle, the toaster, and the hob. It's one at a time. Also take a fish-slice/spatula… there's only spoons so flipping an egg isn't going to happen without it being scrambled!
The rooms we stayed in both had small shower rooms, albeit the shower was a decent size. In one room was a full size basin, however the other was a hand-basin, with a toilet behind the door which whilst tight and not ideal, was functional. Note that if you leave the shower door open when leaving the heat-alarm in the kitchen will sound and will scare the living daylights out of you!
The name is a little deceiving though, there's not always sun, and you'll struggle to see the sea unless you're on the 5th floor or above. The beach isn't far though.
Owing to its location, it is VERY loud of an evening. OK if you're on a lads/girls getaway or stag/hen do or have a penchant for the falling down liquid, but if you're after a quiet get-away this is probably NOT the place for you.

We stayed here in April for a family break with extended family to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The reception process was quick, the room allocated was modern with good amenities such as air con in the living and bedroom area, fridge, kettle, hobs, microwave, TV with BBC 1 & 2 Ch4 and Ch5. The beds were comfy the shower was great. The facilities were good for sun loungers, pool bar however the pool was quite cold (should be heated) however it was April and the sun warm. I would recommend the sun beach to families or couples wanting an apartment in a great location in Santa Ponsa.

Stayed here last week with my adult daughter and we were very impressed. Apartments are impeccably clean and well equipped and the staff are all extremely helpful. Beds are comfortable, including the sofa bed in the living room, and the walk in shower was good. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our apartment on the 8th floor and it was great to stay in such a central location at this time of year, although I imagine it could be a bit noisy in the peak season.
If we were being very “picky”, our only slight niggle was the lack of an electrical socket to charge phones etc in the main living area (apart from in the kitchen), but we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area as these apartments are such brilliant value.

The staff can really make or break a place and the staff here are amazing. Marta on reception is a superstar, she couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The cleaners were courteous leaving us fresh towels and toilet roll even when our “do not disturb sign” was on. The girl behind the swimming pool bar was again all smiles and the handyman always busy doing jobs to keep the place up to scratch. We even saw who we can only assume is the boss wandering round, checking on things and ensuring everything was to a high standard (including ensuring the life guard had his T-shirt on). We were in room 501 and I would definitely recommend one of the rooms at the back of the blocks of apartments. The whole place was very clean, including the pool and sun terrace. I imagine the terrace gets crazy busy in the summer (and people were leaving towels out to reserve sun beds) but there was enough space for our visit in April. The only downside was the noise from surrounding apartments but this could happen anywhere so definitely not the fault of sun-beach and its staff. Would highly recommend!

Brilliant hotel, lovely big room with kitchenette. Very central location. Used the local buses a lot going to Palma, Magaluf and Valldemossa, brilliant service. Lots of praise for Marta who was amazing. She checked us in and always stopped us to see how we were getting on. She is a real asset to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again xxxx.

Stayed here a week with my husband and 2 teenagers. The location is fab and bar area and reception area very nice.
The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the sunbeds round the pool need updated but it is a 3 star hotel so I wasn't expecting anymore.
We had a bit of an issue with a bad smell and a few cockroaches in apartment but once I said to reception they cleaned the room daily and got rid of the smell.
Big shout out to Marta on reception she was just brilliant for start to finish. Service with a smile. She definitely is a credit to sun beach hotel.

From check in to departure it is not possible to say anything negative about this hotel. Every member of staff from management to cleaners were polite and helpful in the extreme. Hotel perfectly positioned overlooking the beach and sea. Many, many bars and restaurants right outside the doors. If you turn left you hit party town, not our cup of tea but many appeared to be enjoying it. Turn right for quieter bars and eateries of which there are many. We had a 7th floor apartment which was plenty big enough for us. A decent lounge diner with kitchen area, fully equipped for self catering. Large bedroom with huge bed plentiful wardrobe space for all. Modern bathroom which was immaculate. Outside the door a private patio with sunbeds and outdoor furniture meant you did not have to move if you did not want. Bedding and towels changed every other day and cleaners were fastidious. Pool area and sun deck with plentiful loungers for all. Pool bar run by the lovely Michelle was well priced and very comfortably furnished. Very good supermarket within 100M meant self catering was very easy. A special shout out for the brilliant Marta who remembers everything and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, great view (from floor 9, which was ours) spotlessly clean.
Right in the middle of the Main Street with bars and restaurants, but very quiet too.
W e are disabled and had mobility scooters which we took with us, no problem, we had our own a parking and charging area,
Just one quirky thing, to get to our apartment we used the lift to the third floor, then across the “ bridge “ to the next lift up to the seventh floor, then through a passageway to the next lift up to the ninth floor!
Sounds like a right palarver, but it wasn’t it was ok. Don’t be put off.
Anyway definitely going to go again, it was great.

Absolutely lovely clean room, all the housekeeper were friendly and did an exceptional job. Bed was comfy and clean. Reception staff were warm & welcoming couldn't do enoth for you highly recommend sun beach. And everything is right outside and a lovely beach just a stones throw away. The sea view from the balcony was gorgeous recommend to book a room with sea view could also see the beach clean, friendly, welcoming place.
