Short Review:
Positives:
Incredible "Sea View" views from balcony, comfortable beds, good services, drink & food at bar downstairs next to pool.
Negatives:
Expensive stay / upgrades, lied to about late check out (didn't get it), shower water went everywhere all over bathroom.
Long Review:
The experience you get here all depends on whether or not you get a "Sea View" room or not.
We booked a package holiday through Hays Travels which we have had good experiences with.
When we arrived we were given an apartment with a view of a blank wall. We were not happy so we instantly paid to be upgraded to "Sea View" and the view was stunning. Cost us €35 euro a night to upgrade to the "Sea View" room. (In hind-sight, we would double check with travel agents).
We tried asking the night before about late check out for the following evening and were told that their system would not let them enter the request. They told us that we would have to ask in the morning. So we did, then we were told that there was no availability. They kept our luggage for 6 hours until we returned for our coach back.
Other than a few inconveniences, we really enjoyed the holiday here overall.

I got a good deal on this hotel out of season and was very impressed with the value for money. Booked a sea view studio and got a large room with all the amenities I needed — fridge, hob, microwave etc.
Beautiful views from the balcony and were lucky to have brilliant weather (even in February).
The hotel staff were brilliant, reception were very helpful especially Jaime and Jules who went over and above to help me. Cleaning staff were friendly and trustworthy.
I haven’t stayed here in many years and this was my friend time out of season and I will absolutely be returning.

The view from our sea view room was incredible! Would visit just to come and sit there again! Staff were helpful at reception desk with questions / easy check in. Shops and restaurants close by. However the shower was terrible and water goes everywhere due to lay out and the beds were very uncomfortable. The view definitely saved it!

From the moment we entered the hotel lobby we couldn't have been happier… room ready at 11.30am — straight in, room spotlessly clean, sea view stunning, 3rd floor just right, comfy beds, huge power shower, equipped kitchen (although no intention of using! ). Lower ground entertainment and bar area beautiful, comfy, clean. Bar prices as expected but not too expensive. Pool, darts, rainy day games all on offer. Outdoor swimming pool just too cold to attempt for me but plenty of children braving it. A wonderful seafront walk from one end of the bay to the other. The daytime and evening animation lady 'Jade' tried to accommodate everyone and made the games fun — archery, shooting, darts, pool, cocktail games, quiz, bingo, karaoke… visiting evening shows we're hit and miss but Michael Jackson tribute was ace. Bar staff very friendly and remembered what we liked to drink. Checkout 12pm was great with bag storage available. Only slight negative was the cost of the safe (38€ for 4 days) and the 3.50€ daily sunlounger charge. Santa Ponsa itself is stunning. Lots to see and do, good bus service, fabulous restaurants and entertainment. Special mention to Xaroc and the Caledonian bar… although loads more to choose from. It was a shame we chose end of season as so e places had already closed. There's not many hotels/areas I'd return to as I like to try new… but this is one I definitely would.

Stayed 4 nights. Had a small apartment with a very small kichenett, 2 hotplates, a microwave and a kettle. No oven. The extractor van and light above cooker wasn't working❌. No safe in room, have to pay for extra. Had the worst view, to the wall and down to the bins😒. Noisy every morning, bottles being thrown in the bin from the bar/kitchen, people talking loudly. Not much daylights coming in due to the wall. Can't sit on the balcony as it's very depressing and smelly from the bar/kitchen extractor fan🤢. About half the hotel with an awful view. Totally the worst view and room I ever stayed in👀. Asked for another room the next morning but was told I can pay extra for an upgrade. TV didnt work at all! 👎🏼 Noisy people in the rooms next door, not great sleep.
Hired bikes for the following day, collected keys to discover 3 of the 4 bikes had flat tyres, bend wheels and broken baskets. Refund requested, no bike rides 😔.
Positives: staff were all friendly and rooms were made every day. Location is great, beach front and bus stop near the entrance which made trips to port d' Andratx and Palma very easy. 👍🏼
Personally, I can not recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay here again. Quite pricey for what you get. Much better options available in the area. 👎🏼
Overall only 2 stars, would have been less if location wouldn't have been great 😃

My daughter and I stayed here for four nights in October 2025 and just loved it.
The staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful, particularly the reception team.
Room was great, just what we needed, and thing like the fridge, kettle, toaster, etc. All useful. Beds comfy and we both slept well. Aircon good.
Do pay extra for a sea view, so worth it and we spent a great deal of time sat on our balcony taking in the spectacular views.
We also went paddleboarding via the apartments, which was such fun.
Great location, everything so close by, including the beach and supermarkets.
Worth wandering a little further afield if you want to venture towards more Spanish restaurants.

We booked a family sea view apartment on the 4th floor. For the 3 of us, 2 adults and a 16 Yr old. I can only describe it as one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The view was amazing well worth paying the extra for the sea view. The apartment was cleaned every day, and the floors washed. The air conditioners were brilliant in the bedroom and the main sitting area. Modern LG TV is not a smart tv, though. The beds made the kitchen and bathroom spotlessly cleaned. Great pool. The sun beds do cost €3.50 per day, but the guy that collected for the sun beds appeared randomly and sometimes just didn't show up for payment. The lifeguards were really attentive. The receptionists were really friendly and polite. Late checkouts are available but only subject to the morning you leave, so you do not know until the morning you're leaving if you can get one. There is a very secure luggage room. Excellent stay we'd highly recommend would definitely return!

Beautiful hotel which is right on the seafront with spectacular views of the beach looking out to the other side of Santa Ponsa. Can’t fault this place at all. We don’t have a sea view but a view of other apartments which is fine. Our rooms are cleaned daily without having to ask. There have been a lot of negative reviews which we find a little odd. This is a three star hotel not a five star and we think it’s great. You pay for what you get and the price we paid for ten nights was ridiculously cheap. The hotel is modern throughout and extremely clean. Hotel staff are very nice. Don’t be put off by Negative Nancy or Moaning Malcom reviewe!

Great location, we had a ground floor apartment right beside the pool with the sea on the other side.
The apartments were cleaned daily with fresh towels each day by very friendly cleaning staff.
The shower was great with good pressure. The beds were comfy although the covers could be updated.
The apartments are a little tired as you can imagine with apartments that have been there a long time, but this doesn’t take away from a wonderful experience. The majority of the staff were friendly and very helpful, although one of the bar staff could have been better.
I would highly recommend these apartments and we will definitely be back!

Just home from 5 days in the Globalas Verdermar in Santa Ponsa Mallorca, beautiful part of the Island this hotel sits just beside the water looking over the beach book a sea view room we didn't! But will next time! The staff were lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was the best yet. Enjoy Santa Sonsa if you book!

This hotel is located good if you only need a child pool, beach, and small supermarkets. The sea view is nice enough and the 1 bedroom is adequately sized for a small family.
But you'll be hard pressed to enjoy that because the hotel has loud live music 6 days a week (travels easily up the stairs and outside) and is invaded by rude, obnoxious people.
They only wake up at 7 to throw their tasteless towels on the pool loungers, and from then till around 10, you can enjoy the pool — but the rest of they day, expect small kids to spit on you, big kids to use the entire pool as their rugby ground amongst families and couples (absolutely no shame in hitting us repeatedly), and just generally no space from inflatables and soaking people.
One of the life guards did try to stop it repeatedly, but the adults just didn't care! Unbelievable!
And the smoking! The hotel isn't smoke-free!
Many guests smoke by the pool and on the balconies, so you have to be lucky to use your own balcony freely!
The balconies between rooms aren't separated that well (see pictures), so you see and hear your neighbours.
And if not them, the pool people are loud until the live music starts.
We had sewage in the sink cabinet and a faulty toilet, but the reception and cleaning staff was nice and quick about. Generally cleaning was good too.

We had a fantastic 4-night stay in Santa Ponsa, and this hotel was the perfect base. The location couldn’t have been better – right on the beach and just steps away from plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Our apartment was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided each time, which made our stay even more comfortable. Next time, we’ll definitely opt for a sea view room to make the most of the incredible location. We’ll 100% be coming back!

This is my 2nd visit to Globales Verdemar and we would definitely go back and stay again. A sea view apartment or studio is a must as there is such a beautiful view from the balconies. Apartments clean and basic. Service at the pool bar was good as was the daytime snack menu. I am an early riser in the morning but even at 7am it was difficult to get a sun lounger with an umbrella available. More umbrella's are necessary particularly in the summer months. Part of why we chose the hotel is that we love swimming in the sea (just beyond the pool area). Great location and plenty of variety to eat and drink in the surrounding area immediately outside the hotel. Great value for money.

Amazing location, positioned right on the beach and loads of restaurants and shops around. The sea view is beautiful and you can walk right out onto the beach.
The rooms were clean and had everything you needed, they were cleaned every day and fresh towels etc provided each day. If you are bothered about the view I would pay for a sea view room as it’s beautiful and the normal view is just a wall.
The staff were so lovely, particularly Henry and Paula who worked in the hotel restaurant/bar — they absolutely made our holiday! They were so friendly and kind and made us feel so welcome. We would definitely come back!

Hotel was clean enough. We didn’t enjoy our stay. Staff were not friendly or welcoming. Room was very basic, we had booked a sea view room with breakfast but found the self catering facilities very basic. Walls very thin and heard every word from the room next door. A lot of younger guests staying here who came and went at all hours and were very noisy. View was amazing. We were charged £3.50 per person per day for a sun lounger at the hotel pool — but to get a lounger, you had to be up at 6.30am or earlier or you had no chance! Most people put their towels out the night before. The hotel done nothing to stop this happening! The breakfast was okay and we arranged with reception to have a breakfast made up for our day of departure as our time to leave was 45 mins before breakfast start time. Have been coming to Santa Ponsa on and off over the last 27 years and will not use this hotel again.

Good Hotel, rooms cleaned every day without fail — rooms basic. Locations is great bars shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Boat trips, jet ski and boat rental all along the front.
The food is really good for a 3* hotel can’t complain at all with it.
Issues — having to pay for sun loungers. It’s a CASHLESS hotel but have to pay by cash for sun loungers? This still doesn’t stop people reserving them from 1am.
I felt as though the pool was really dirty a scum was floating in parts and covered in flies, this put me off and went to another hotel with a clean pool.
It’s a 3* Hotel but if you’re coming away for a week it would be ideal, but you must have a sea view room!

Check in was quick and efficient. We booked a sea view room and were not disappointed, the view from the balcony was amazing. The room was clean and had a little kitchen. We didn’t use this as we eat out but had everything you needed. Good size bathroom and a great big shower. Only downsides to the room were the air con, spat out black bits over the bed when on which wasn’t great and our room had an adjoining door. This meant that when folk next door had music on it came home in the early hours it was really loud. Not sure if all the rooms have these doors.
The pool area was well kept, if you didn’t get a bed for 8 then you would struggle to get one that day. Be aware that they charge for the beds, €3.50 per bed. I knew this before we went so wasn’t a surprise but this is the only hotel I have ever had to do this for. Seems that non residents can also use the pool area. I can see the point of charging them but I think it is a bit poor to charge residents. Anyway, it didn’t impact our stay and we would definitely stay again.
