Great hotel, very close to a beach and friendly staff. For my room the beds were comfy and the room was clean and included a kettle, TV and fridge.
Entertainment, in the lobby there is a screen displaying what is on and when. This is usually every night and quite busy at the time I went.
The pool is cold but it’s fine for a dip if you get too hot sunbathing on one of the many sun beds.
Food is good as well.
Staff are friendly and happy.

This was our 2nd visit to hotel and think it will now be a yearly thing. Cannot fault a thing. Rooms lovely (are still a few older style rooms) but we had the new ones, street side. Food is amazing. Staff are all friendly, hard working. Entertainment is great. Location amazing. Nothing to fault. Quiet location, not much around.

This hotel was amazing. Friendly and accommodating staff. Food was lovely and a good selection daily. Room was clean with good air conditioning. Entertainment was exceptional. Entertainment manager David was amazing. Remembered names and greeted us personally every time he saw us. Very engaging and it was evident that he loves his work. Even when there was only one child to entertain he went all out to ensure that child was suitably happy and entertained. We never visit the same hotel usually but have already decided we will be returning in 2026. Big shout out to hotel Son Baolo 🙌 👌 keep up the good work and see you next year.

Just returned from this hotel after a short 3 night stay.
Staff at reception are very helpful and pleasant.
Breakfast is fantastic if you enjoy full fried breakfast's.
They also provide a great choice of cereals fresh fruit.
Omelette.
Pastries particularly enjoyed the natural honey comb to drizzle over your selected choices.
Bar staff and waiting staff were very helpful and always attentive to your requirements.
Snack bar menu is lovely and the portion size is great value for the cost.
Entertainment is provided every night and during the day activities are available for those who want to join in.
Any issues are dealt with promptly.
Cleaning staff can be heard in the morning and during the day however it shows they are doing things correctly and it was never a issue with patron's staying.

What an absolute diamond! There was nothing we could fault about this hotel. Yes maybe a little dated but very clean and to be fair it is a 3 star so wouldn’t have expected the 5* service we had. Right on the beach where you can reserve a bed for the whole of your stay. Cant rate the pool as we are beach people, which is what attracted us to the hotel. Go out of the front door and turn left and 100 yards and on the beach turn left 100 yards and there’s a supermarket that sells everything including fresh made cobs every day, best we have tasted. Food is plentiful and tasty. Drinks very reasonable. The staff are amazing, every single one of them. Then there’s David, when I say he’s the entertainment manager, he’s it! He does the lot on his own and books the most amazing acts, we didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel. David knows every one of the children’s names, does their activities as well as the adults, even does the kids disco at night, which he lets the children pick what they want and knows all the dance moves. If you are sitting watching waiting for the main act you are expected to clap for all the children when he gets them to take a bow. We spent 2 amazing weeks here and will definitely be returning. In a quiet little part but you can walk into the main area, we went a couple of times but prefered to stay at the hotel. Roll on our next one there, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Stayed at Son Baulo for 10 nights. The location is fantastic, right on the beach with shops and bars close by. Rooms were basic but clean. The pool is quite deep for non swimmers, hence why there is a lifeguard on duty off and on throughout the day. Lilos aren't permitted in the pool, only inflatable rings. Food was good for a 3 star hotel, with plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meal. Snacks at the pool bar are very reasonable, as are the drinks in the bar in the evening. All the staff work really hard, especially David, who entertained the adults and children with darts, volleyball in the day and children's clubs and bingo in the evening. All the tribute acts at the hotel in the evening were very professional. I agree with the other reviews regarding the transfer to the airport. It took forever! We went to Palma for the day on the service bus, which was easy and a lot cheaper than the arranged trips. The nature reserve next to the hotel was lovely with lots of ducks and ducklings to feed, etc.

Love this area of Majorca (Son Baulo Can Picafort). Quiet area away from the hussle and bussle but within 20 min stroll along promande to centre of Can Picafort! Had a superior room with sea views on top floor. Room very clean and spacious, good shower. On belated honeymoon and upon arrival had bottle of Carva in room and on third day were offered upgrade to Deluxe room with wrap around balcony. Excellent views all around of sea, nature reserve and pool. Found all hotel staff extremely polite and friendly, room was cleaned every day with fresh towels also. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Good selection of food every night. I would suggest for fellow travellers to take own tea bags etc. As only kettle and mugs supplied in room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return.

What a super hotel. We walked into our superior room and said “wow”. The room was huge and the sea view amazing! We asked for a few more coat hangers and they were delivered straight away. We hired a couple of beach/pool towels for a nominal fee and also the room safe. Food was varied, delicious and plentiful. You won’t go hungry here! All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Never a problem to get a lounger and the beach is right outside, although you will have to pay for a lounger there. The Ting Ting train is just at the front of the hotel and will take you to the centre of Ca’n Picafort if you don’t fancy the walk, but a stroll along the prominade is beautiful. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Son Balou for a super holiday.

This hotel is one of the best 3 star hotels we've ever been too.
Never too crowded to be able to get a sunbed. First time were not had to get up early and put towels out! Leads directly onto the beach so could share time equally between both.
The food was fantastic! Roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding, roast lamb another night. Jacket potatoes made a nice change too. Great variety and lots of English choices.
The staff here are very friendly and so attentive. And work extremely hard to keep everyone happy.
David the entertainment game was phenomenal with all the children. He was the star of the show.
Lots of shops and bars just outside the hotel, reasonably priced too. And only a 20 minute walk along the beach front to the promenade. (A few bars and restaurants en route).
Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back. I can see now why so many people go back year after year.

People keep coming back to stay at this hotel, it's the jewel in the crown.
The staff are amazing, and the food is excellent. The evening entertainment is fantastic, with tribute acts and cash bingo.
Walk out of the hotel and you are right onto the beach.
Good local shops and dining nearby. With a land train just outside, that will take you all the way into town.
We are looking forward to staying again on our 2 week holiday in May of this year (2025) … and have recommended this to our friends, who come to stay the day after we return home to the UK.
Highly Recommended Hotel!

Felt compelled to write a review after reading such nonsense on a previous review. Stayed here 3 times and brought my parents with us on the latter, they loved it that much they have booked again for this year. My only complaint is that TUI have stopped kids go free to this hotel or we would be going again for a 4th year running. The hotel is impeccably clean, the location is second to none, the staff are so lovely and respectful. It is a quiet hotel but that's exactly what we want. There's shops and a lovely local restaurant just outside the hotel that serves lunches and beer at good prices. If you want to head into can picafort there's a little train outside that runs regularly at a cheap price. This hotel is a hidden gem and everytime I've been I speak to repeat guests that speak just as highly as I do about the hotel and nobody has ever had to pay for orange juice on a morning!
Top tips — If you want the sun on your balcony later on in the year book a pool and nature reserve view room, you will get it all day.

Hotel 1st class right on the beach with few shops and bars outside. Entertainment good but have to go into can picafort for more evening entertainment and unless you walk fast along the promenade it will take you at least 30 minutes walk but hotel and area is great for a relaxing holiday or if you have young children. Teenagers will get bored here. We spent 10 night here in July and had a great time but didnt think we would return but now about to book up for August 25

My wife and I had a fabulous one week stay at the Son Bauló. We have stayed in a lof of hotels and this hotel topped them all as the best one we ever stayed in from the quality of food and drink, to the great staff, always making you feel welcome and helpful, and especially Dave at the entertainment, he was out of this world really nice down to earth guy. Room was perfect, very big with a pool view, air-con included, and very clean.
Great views and access to facilities and transport.

Visited 3 years in a row and I think this hotel is amazing it ticks all the boxes. It's ideal for everyone. The rooms are lovely and modern and the beds are very comfortable. Air conditioning works well. Always manage to get a seat round pool the drinks are reasonably priced. The half board food is excellent breakfast so much choice and the omelettes are so filling and enjoyable the dinner is a very tasty too. The entertainment is very good and David is amazing during the day and evening he involves everyoneone and makes the holiday even better. It's perfect if you want a bit of everything and bonus it's on the beach. The location is on the edge of the resort but I personally like the location. And can't recommend this hotel enough. If you need to email the hotel before the holiday the commucation Is excellent and they will accommodate you if they can. If you want a stress free relaxing holiday in the sun this is perfect.

Really lucky with the weather, went 22nd Oct and still warm, although things were starting to close down for the season. Lovely hotel, staff friendly, the room clean and tidy. There is a kettle in the room, cups and spoons but no coffee or teabags so bring your own. There is a supermarket a couple of minutes up the road that sells milk and anything else you may need. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and the meat cooked beautifully, some of the best food in a hotel I have had, could have been a bit hotter at times. At breakfast omelettes and pancakes are made whilst you wait. There is water, tea and coffee at breakfast but none at the evening meal you have to buy water to go with your meal which I have never had to do before in a hotel. The only criticism would be that steak type of knives were used for the meals which are not the best for trying to spread butter etc. The entertainment was very good something different every evening. There is a market on the promenade on Friday morning. Would recommend the Son Amar Exhibit show. The bus service is cheap and reliable. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This was my family's first holiday abroad and it did not disappoint.
Location is just far away its not in the centre of can picafort about 15min walk along the seafront.
We where staying at the back of the hotel overlooking the street & it was busy with coaches coming in and out all night but the room itself was clean & had everything we needed (no air-conditioning). The food was nice enough plenty to choose from. Staff are all polite & friendly. The hotel is clean & tidy in all areas.
Entertainment was available every night we stayed.
We'd definitely consider staying again but would request a room on the beach/pool side of the hotel.
