Hotel Bendinat

We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay at Hotel Bendinat, and once again it exceeded all expectations. The location is simply unbeatable — right on the rocky coastline with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. It’s the perfect blend of tranquility, elegance, and authentic Mallorcan charm.
Our room was bright, comfortable, and spotless, with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and having breakfast surrounded by pine trees and blue water.
The restaurant is outstanding — excellent food, a great selection of wines, and impeccable service. Every meal felt special, whether it was a leisurely lunch by the sea or dinner under the stars.
The staff were warm, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their attention to detail made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived.
After many years of traveling around Mallorca, this remains one of our favorite places on the island. Peaceful, beautiful, and full of character — Hotel Bendinat is simply perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

Quite simply we love this place, yes it's an idyllic setting on a beautiful island and yes it's maintained in a great condition but what sets it apart is the people. At this point I'd usually call out a few people in the hotel and thank them for a great stay but I can't as the entire team make our stay here. From the reception team, to the team at breakfast, the bar, the restaurant, the pool bar, the housekeeping staff the meeters and greeters it is simply different class and that is what keeps people coming back year after year. Thank you all so much for making our holiday even more than the escape we always hoped it would be.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant. It’s a great outlook over a small cove with people jumping off rocks into the sea. It makes for a great atmosphere. The food was great. Two negatives: 1) our waiter was a tad matter of fact, and not overly friendly. 2) the way the tables are directed means someone from every table will face directly onto the sun as it goes down. I don’t know why they haven’t rotated the tables slightly so it’s to your side of face and not full on.

Very disappointed. My favourite hotel in Mallorca for many years but standards were not what they were. Rooms were fine but lacked the amenities and little touches of past years. No shower caps, cotton balls etc. Breakfast has gone from wonderfully 5 star to barely 3 star with the buffet offering cheaper quality pastries, breads, meats etc and the cooked options never living up to previous standards.
The pool bar service always started slow but As the staff got to know you and your likes they would anticipate what you wanted almost before you asked for it. The bartender was charming during our stay but completely overwhelmed and always flying solo.
The restaurant terrace is still one of the most beautiful places to eat lunch or dinner on the island but again the food falls a little short of what we were used to.
Hopefully these are all teething issues with new owners at the helm …. But we won’t be rushing back which makes me quite sad.

I had a great time staying at Hotel Bendinat in Mallorca. I booked this on a friends recommendation. I stayed in the "Junior Suite" and was so happy! The view! And the proximity to the water, this is why we come to Mallorca! Truly magical, the little bay that they have for swimming is LOVELY. I'll mention, it did seem like there was a shortage of beach front reclining chairs. That being said, guests can layout their towels on the rock peninsula and be pretty comfortable (although, from what I could tell, this area is open to the public? ) I had good service at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, for dinner, it was a little "tense, " I guess reservations for guests are more than recommended, their basically mandatory for dinner during high season. Other than that I was really comfortable, and the front desk staff we're particularly delightful.

Hotel Bendinat offers a charming and peaceful setting, complete with a lovely pool area and a restaurant that boasts stunning sea views.
Dining here is definitely a visual treat, perhaps you're paying more for the view than for the food itself.
The service was professional and the dishes were beautifully presented. However, while the ingredients were fresh, the overall quality didn’t fully justify the elevated prices. Still, the atmosphere, scenery, and overall experience make it a place worth visiting, especially if you're looking to enjoy a relaxed meal by the sea.

This hotel has a caché and elegance. It has a gorgeous prime setting overlooking the sea — but it has seen better times insofar as the whole offering has been cut back. This is particularly disappointing as the hotel is far more expensive than other hotels aspiring to a similar standard.
The restaurant — has a limited menu compared to earlier years and if you’re eating in for more than a few nights you might struggle to find variety. Food is well prepared and presented. A huge fuss was made when we asked at the start of a meal if our bill could be split into our 3 rooms (as though we were dining independently) — apparently the computer system would not accommodate this!
The Pool Bar — has a very limited menu, serves small portions, has painfully slow service and is expensive with only one member of staff in attendance.
Breakfast — has a very limited selection. Even the choice of two jam flavours did not vary in one week. Unrefrigerated and unmarked cold meats looked grey and unappetising. Dishes often sat empty and unreplenished due to lack of staff and attention. Luis was the only manager we encountered during our 7 night stay and he was charming and helpful.
Room (suite) 606 is excellent — spacious, and comfortable — but a constant fairly loud sound of water running from above is apparently built in to the design — so bring ear plugs! Our room was rarely serviced before 2:30pm.

The restaurant is in a fabulous setting and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Food leans more towards traditional Majorcan at reasonable prices compared to restaurants in the nearby Puerto Portals. We had Padron peppers, grilled Octopus, salt crusted baked Sea Bass followed by the lemon cream. Washed down with a Majorcan Rose recommended by our waiter, Stairway to Heaven. All were fabulous.

This was our first visit to this hotel. Loved the location, with its expansive view of the sea (we could hear the soothing sound of the waves from our room and the outdoor areas). The room was relatively newly renovated with a nice terrace. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food, especially the fish dishes, which were delicious. Friendly service, but not just as flexible as at the very best luxury hotels. A big plus was that it only took 15 minutes to reach the hotel from Palma airport. Beautiful place, good food, friendly people! Definitely considering visiting Bendinat again.

Its a beautiful hotel, almost everything is just perfect, bit there is one BIG problem:
The good things first: Everything is amazing, the views, the food (restaurant has many outsode guests each evening, speaks for itself! ), the breakfast, the staff (super friendly and attentive! ), the rooms (book one w/ seaview! ), the beds. Absolutely nothing to complain about! 10/10 for everything!
But: The daily struggle to get a sunbed is REALLY a problem. It is a fight, by 8.45 am every day all sunbeds by the sea and almost all by the pool are reserved, but nobody is there until much (11? 12? ) later. Flagged it to the hotel, but nothing happened. Action needs to be taken, as this „blocking“ of sunbeds is just unworthy for a hotel of that category.

I can’t fault this hotel, I had to leave a review based on my last family stay.
During a very busy peak of season for the staff at Hotel Bendinat, I asked them to accommodate more family members visiting on top of my original bookings, lots of last minute dining requests, and late night support with a sick child.
Not once did they fail to accommodate us, nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done to an excellent standard and right first time…. I couldn’t fault a thing from the front desk (Ramon), to the Restaurant (lead by Marco) to the cleanliness of the rooms and service (which is exceptionally delivered).
The stand out for me at this Hotel is the Assistant GM, Carlos. He takes time to walk around to see guests, nothing is too much trouble and he works very hard to get things right for everyone. He is kind, courteous, Very professional and humble. This guy is the best Hotel manager I’ve come across, if not only for his willingness to take criticism and come back with clear resolutions and ensure consistency of standards.
Great stay this year and like I say it was faultless for my whole family.

Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Good location with terrace restaurant overlooking the sea. The food was excellent with generous portions and with a very good choice and of 5 star standard. The staff in all departments were very good and seemed to enjoy their work. Area round the pool was well kept and a great place to have a drink or lunch. We would certainly visit again, great hotel.

This is a wonderful location with great services and facilities. The staff make your stay exceptional and particularly in the Restaurant where Marco and Tony made our evening meals most pleasant.
The cleaners and hotel staff keep the rooms and ground immaculate and are always happy to stop and speak to guests to check they are comfortable. We have stayed here before and are also due to return with our entire family later in June and July.
Great team and first class hospitality!

Iconic hotel set in the most beautiful place. Sea views abound. Can’t say enough good things about Fransisco and the staff. Extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a room with a sea view. They need to trim the pine trees so we could actually see the sea from our balcony. Lastly, the bathroom was missing a few important amenities such as small finger towels, cotton balls and shower caps. This should be standard in a hotel of this caliber. But overall our stay was pleasant with a welcoming staff and beautiful sea views. The close proximity to Palma is also a plus.

Fantastic evening meal at the hotels restaurant.
We were staying near by and booked a table for dinner.
Wonderful fish paella with the most amazing views and service. Small but wonderful menu and very reasonable pricing for quality food and the best views, we much preferred this to eating at the restaurants in the port which were expensive and pretentious.
We also went there for drinks one afternoon and a swim in the sea, it's a lovely little bay with rocks all around but 2 access points for the water via a ladder. Clear blue cool waters it was bliss.

Wonderful setting, impeccable attention and stunning views. I never get tired of going, you ask to stay or go to the restaurant. It is highly recommended.
