Protur Playa Cala Millor Hotel

Recently stayed the third week in August for seven nights, half board. The hotel is beachfront, adults only and the rooms are large. Buffet is great, there are themed nights and an à la carte restaurant that is free for one time during your stay. There is a spa and a jacuzzi. The entertainment is brilliant, tribute acts such as Take That and a variety of rock music, pop and Motown, ect.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the reception team who are very friendly and helpful. We were offered a welcome drink and our room was ready at 1pm when we arrived from our flight with TUI.
The room was very nice, large, spotlessly clean and with an amazing view overlooking Cala Millor beach. The room were cleaned daily and were always spotless.
The beach is a two minute walk away, two sunbeds and an umbrella are €20 or €44 for the more luxurious. The pool is large and warm and there is also a rooftop pool on the sixth floor which is free to use. There is a pool bar at both the main pool and rooftop.
The buffet restaurant is great, headed by chef Christian. Monday is Indian cuisine, Tuesday Mexican, Thursday Gala Night with a bbq and Saturday Italian. There is also a wide offering of other food every night. There is an à la carte restaurant that is free for one time during your stay however we chose not to go as the menu was not to our liking but looked lovely. There is a new managers cocktail every day which are great.
The entertainment every day and night was brilliant.

The staff are excellent! Very friendly, very helpful.
A real pleasure to stay somewhere so well managed with a professional and friendly team.
Location is ideal, near car/bike rentals and a short stroll to the beach.
The pool area can get busy but is kept tidy.
Food was excellent with great variety each evening, compliments to the chefs!
I found the bed too soft but that is my personal preference. Evening entertainment is good and has something for everyone and changes each night.
Overall, a great place to stay.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Food and entertainment were of a high standard. Rooms and public areas were spotless. All staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Must mention our cleaner, Loti, who was so efficient and helpful. Hotel in a great location. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is excellent in so many ways. It is modern and immaculately clean. The staff without exception are very friendly and extremely efficient. The food is of a high standard with plenty of choice but on arrival we were told there were two sittings for dinner either 6.15 or 8 pm neither of which suited.
Us. Then we realised that each sitting was only for one hour fifteen minutes. When the doors opened and we had looked around and decided what to eat then perhaps queued we had approximately an hour to enjoy our meal. It all felt very rushed as we like to relax and take our time over each course. At 9.15 one of the staff would come around and ask very politely if we had had dessert as it was being cleared. The dining room was emptying then so we felt obliged to leave. Perhaps we are in minority as the hotel had many repeat bookings but unfortunately it spoiled it for us and for this reason and this reason alone we would not return. I’m writing this review as I feel people should be aware of the dining arrangements before booking.

This was our first visit but went with friends who visited last year. The reviews are always good and we did wonder if they were all true — well yes they are!
The transfer is about an hour but we had a taxi so arrived little earlier, but it was a late flight. Reception were helpful and quickly checked in, they had cold meats etc laid out for us which was also great.
The room was clean, and we had a wonderful sea view and over the pool.
The food was wonderful and plentiful and the only issue was deciding what to have. You sit where you want for breakfast and then have a designated table for eve meal all the time you are there.
The location is good for walking to other places, and it’s flat which helps.
I cannot praise the staff enough, always smiling, always helpful and as others have said they are a lot of the reason for returning people, these include.
LILO our housekeeper — was always smiling and singing and our room was always clean and tidy.
Victor who did wonderful omelettes.
Xcisco, Alejandro, Sam and all the bar staff — never unhappy.
Jimmy — entertainment manager — he works tirelessly and the acts booked are amazing.
There are many more and they were all great.
This is a hotel I will return to, sooner rather than later, a couple of hours away, warm weather, great staff, wonderful food and entertainment — what is there not to like.

Been back only 9 days after another lovely stay, thank you… and already looking forward to our return later in the season. Absolutely fab hotel, perfect location, lovely rooms, everything you need, fresh water provided daily, hairdryer, kettle, fridge and safe (small daily charge). The food is great and all the staff are wonderful, I have to say they are actually part of our holidays, all are so friendly, genuine and professional, truly a credit to the hotel and Manager, David who is around the hotel daily with a friendly smile.
From the moment you arrive, welcomed by the brilliant reception staff, Daniel, Lucas, Lorena, David and team, nothing is too much trouble.
All rooms and areas are kept perfectly clean by the great housekeeping staff. Food is delicious, plentiful and varied thanks to Christian & his team and the Resturant is lovely, special thanks to Tony, Joanna, Lupe and Juan and rest of the team. Drinks are fab and there are cocktails in abundance, the bar staff are brilliant and in particular Salva, Laura, Loriet, Fani, Elena, & Diana. Entertainment each evening is great, some of the acts are as good as you get anywhere, brilliant! organised by Jimmy the entertainments manager who is great, although we never do very well in his poolside quizzes haha. I love to take advantage of the hotel spa, ladies if treatments are your thing, Joanna is brilliant, I wish I could visit every few weeks!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in room 214 from May 23rd to 30th.
Hotel was very clean and well presented. Rooms were modern with comfortable beds and a lovely walk in shower. Food served at breakfast and evening meal was hot and delicious with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Waiting staff were very accommodating with any requests met and very professional in their duties. Bar staff worked incredibly hard to serve drinks and ensured tables were clean and tidy before each serving of drinks. Entertainment was very good, particularly the Michael Jackson and Take That tribute acts. The pool has plenty of comfortable sunbeds for guests. The hotel has a beachfront location in the lovely resort of Cala Millor, within close proximity of shops.
It was our first time at your hotel, however it will certainly not be our last.
The lifts can be problematic particularly for those on the upper floors of the hotel. Many guests used the internal stairs (which is not really appropriate if mobility is an issue)
Water is not available during evening meal as standard, it has to be purchased. Maybe jugs of water could initially be provided and then if guests feel the need for more water, then it can be purchased.
When there was a fault with the lights in our room, it was reported and repaired within 24 hours.
We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to future guests and would like to thank all staff for making our stay so wonderful. Thank you once again.

We have just arrived home from a week at Protur Cala Millor and we had a fantastic week. The hotel is spotless clean, lovely rooms, pool area beautiful and food at restaurant and grill bar was amazing. There was live entertainment every night with some great bands and singers. Location is perfect and the staff go above and beyond to help. Salva, Xcisco and Jimmy were great. We will 💯 be back.

Well, what can I say? What a lovely adult only hotel in a wonderful setting right on the sea front. We were on floor 8 in a room facing towards Cala Bona and the view is breathtaking. My photos really don’t do it justice. It gets the sun first thing in the morning and then shade the rest of the day which suited us perfectly.
The hotel staff are all lovely without exception and the waiting staff are eager to please. The food is really good too…no complaints there.
Our room was quite large with a large bathroom too. Everything was really comfortable and kept spotlessly clean by the hardworking cleaning staff. Towels were changed every single day although we hung them on the hooks.
Make sure to take your own shampoo and conditioner though as only handwash and shower gel are provided…nothing else.
There is a small rooftop pool and sunbathing area with a bar open 12noon — 4pm every day except Thursdays.
Can’t comment on the entertainment as we don’t stay in the hotel after dinner. We like to go out and about for a drink and do some people watching!
The only two negatives (for s personally) I can say about the hotel and this is probably being nit picky but there aren’t enough umbrellas for the amount of beds at all. Also the ones that are there are fixed so you have to move the bed…not always ideal. We were lucky we were able to get a covered double lounger bed which was really comfortable but you had to get there early.

This is probably going to be a boring review as it pretty much echoes the praise that many others have heaped on this hotel.
We had a good feeling booking this, having previously stayed at a Protur hotel in Sa Coma, and were not disappointed when arriving here.
A quick, no fuss check in with a glass of Cava is always a good start and we were very pleased to find our high floor request had been provided. We had a sea view room that looked over the bay towards Cala Millor and Cala Bona (my personal favorite view, both day and night).
The room was spotless and tidy and although smaller to what we have been used to, still plenty of room and storage for the two of us.
All the staff from housekeeping and maintenance upwards are so very friendly — not just a polite greeting but a genuine and welcoming smile told us we had made a good choice.
The hotel was at the end of its season while we were there, but you would never have guessed it. Everything is pristine and clean, the buffet restaurant had a wide range of food, not simply a make do menu. Themed meals were varied and delicious and nothing was too much trouble for you (we actually changed tables 3 times during our stay, with no fuss and a warm "of course" when we asked).
Entertainment every night was provided here, with people getting up and dancing and singing along making it a really fun evening.

Thank you to everyone at this wonderful hotel. Its our 3rd visit and gets better every time. We love the buffet food and the al a carte restaurant was amazing. Entertainment was even better this time and thats down to Jimmy who works really hard to make everyone happy. We loved our room which had an amazing view of the sea and a beautiful sunrise. Our lovely maid always cleaned to perfection and always made us smile as she was always singing and so happy doing her work. The hotel is in a perfect spot for shopping and lovely walks in either direction. We celebrated both our birthdays and enjoyed the complimentary Cava at the dinner table. We are so looking forward to coming again next year. Thank you all again for all your hard work and making us so welcome. Janet and Ken.

From the moment we got to the hotel we were impressed by staff. We were greeted at the desk with a glass of champagne for my wife and myself and then we were lead to a beautiful meal — even though we arrived at 10 o clock at night — the service was excellent — the staff — every single one of them were pleasant and caring. Jimmy the entertainment manager was not only good at his job but took us out a few days on walking trips. The food was amazing and we eat every evening in the hotel — normally we would have went out a couple of nights for variety — but the food was excellent and a great variety — we will definitely be back — thank you Protur Playa Cala Millor — Don.

We are repeat visitors as are many of the couples who come here which speaks volumes as to how good this hotel is. It ticks all the boxes for a great holiday, to include fantastic beachside location, great food, clean rooms and brilliant hard working and friendly staff.
There is entertainment nightly, some good and some not so good but I guess it depends on personal taste when it comes to entertainment.
Hubby and I love coming here and hope to come again next year.
Things we didn’t like……. Evening bar socialites!

Hotel was very run down. The water park was closed, hotel staff on main reception wasn't very helpful took us 45 minutes to find which bit we were staying in. We had to get directions off of others who were staying there, hotel room wasn't great had to change rooms after the first night due to we couldn't close the main bedroom door. Balcony door was broke and couldn't use the wardrobes. The staff on the 24hr reception were very helpful and arranged for us to move, also there were 2 adults and 2 children 17 &14 and there was only 1 single bed. The younger one had to sleep on the sofa with wasn't very comfortable 😕 and no bedding was there for her we had to request it.

This hotel is wonderful in every way. As regular repeat visitors for many years, we love to return. The hotel is in an excellent location opposite the beach, promenade is flat and you can walk along into Cala Bona, if you fancy s change, great choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
Firstly all the helpful reception team, special mention to Daniel, Aina and Lucas. Always perfectly clean, the housekeeping staff work hard, our lady this year was brilliant on the 8th floor. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, walk in shower in the bathroom. A fresh bottle of complimentey water is left each morning in your room. There is also a small fridge, hairdryer and a safe (small charge at reception for safe). The food is fabulous, executive chef Christian does the hotel proud. Resturant is well organised and run by the the lovely Tony and his fab team. Bar staff are great, special mention to Fani, Marcus, Sergio, Salvi. Jimmy the entertainments Manger is a brilliant guy, organises great acts each evening and day activities, he has time for everyone. His popularity goes before him. Even the lady Lifeguard is great, happy to offer any help around the poolside making sure everyone is OK. The lady in the spa is fantastic, there are a selection of massages and treatments, just lovely, if it's your thing, book in, you won't be disappointed. Finally, Davide the Hotel Manager us always visible around the hotel if you need him.

Perfect hotel for us, lits of welcome, very friendly staff, always clean and tidy. We requested a low floor and were given room 128 probably the best hotel room we've ever had with a fridge tea/coffee and complimentary bottle of water every day, It was a pleasure to wake up to the beautiful views of cala millor. The food and drinks were great, entertainment was the best we've ever had on holiday Jimmy is doing a great job. The staff and management were very helpful especially the TUI rep Howard, thanks to all. We have already booked another fortnight same time next year.

This is an excellent Adults only hotel. There were mainly British tourists here, though a handful of many other nationalities as well. The rooms were quite spacious with a decent bathroom and balcony. The restraunt served high quality meals all in a buffet style. Eating was relaxed with a huge range of choice. There is an additional specialist restraunt and everyone is entitled to one free evening meal here. Lunch, if you are staying on site is in the outside grill. The fish and chips here are excellent and much lighter than in the UK. If you've got a good appetite then try a banana split for dessert! There is entertainment every evening which is good.
Outside there is a decent sized pool which wasn't heated. The sea was warmer. The beach is only just across the promenade and is clean with plenty of parasols and loungers.
Overall an excellent holiday in a very friendly hotel.
