Arrived on a Sunday of January under a flood of water at about 5.30 pm, no one was waiting for us… nobody answered the phone!?
In short, we had forgotten… Luckily, a native was able to help us and two hours later, we finally had the keys to our accommodation!
Small stone houses around a well maintained garden overlooking the swimming pool (icy) and the Jacuzzi (not very clean), like an "Oasis" in the middle of the blackness of the landscape.
Despite the perpetual spring, the month of January is not to advise, it rains almost every night, it is cool, grey and windy especially inside the country!
We stayed in the main building next to the front desk. It is an old building of the years 1800 handed down as well as bad to the taste of the day and divided into two "apartments".
It was well informed that the kitchen was common either, but putting a common entrance hall between our room and the bathroom, it is a bit special and very unpleasant especially as apart from the one in the room, no door will lock… not even the door Outdoor!
A dressing area, was attached to the bathroom and accessible to all, as the bathroom door did not close either.
This famous seperate bathroom was without heating and without hot water or the bathtub or the sink. Fortunately there was still a shower with hot water reserve for 1 person!
And it was involuntarily equipped with a strobe light (defective spots) and a musical flush (leakage). But given the cold weather there, it wasn't long ago!
Very bad for that matter, because the only place we could have Wi-Fi with Internet access was on… the toilet tub!
The cleaning is not nickel. The paintings of spider and the dusts give a stamp to this old place;-), just like the wipes at the bottom of the windows to try to keep the rainwater outside!
Saw the weather in the evening and the corner completely lost (without shop or restaurant) in which we stayed, we would have liked to have a decent internet access to be able to spend our evenings but alas, as I said, it was non-existent in the room and the Living. It only works in the bathroom, on the terrace and in the parking lot!
Everything seems poorly maintained and dirty, it's a pity because the place could be a real gem, with a little maintenance and renovation.
In summary: Breakfast is the only positive point of Casa Tomaren.
