Love this place. The staff are so friendly and it's situated right in between the harbour and the marina. Can't wait to get back there — again!

Family room lovely and spacious, cleanliness of the whole hotel top notch, only down side food disappointing and not to our taste. Next time I wouldn't do all inclusive as we ate out a lot.

Staying at the Hesperia Playa Dorada for 7 nights, shame it's not longer. Very pleased with the Hotel, staff are always polite and very helpful. The food is very good, cooked fresh in front of you & a good variety of food every day. There are a few nice pools with plenty of Sun lounges, we never struggled to find one. From the pool there is direct access to the beach only yards from the pool area. Looking forward to staying here again A+++

Very good location as it is close to the beach, and is within walking distance of both the harbour on one side as well as the village on the other side. It has several pools in two separate areas of the hotel, a couple of restaurants, with rich and varied food, a small gym, massage area and other body care. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great location in the middle of the promenade by the beach.
Fantastic staff, already at reception with Guillermo and Diana helped us with a lot of professionalism and affection in everything we need and Ginés and his companions made us feel at home in the dining room.

Stayed her for a week. Location great, a lovely place and the entertainment is pretty good. Staff were really helpful and friendly. However, the way the standard and deluxe sunbathers are separated is appallingly. Putting a rope between the two areas with signs saying “deluxe area” is unbelievable in 2018. We booked deluxe but also chose the Papagayo restaurant (as another reviewer mentioned) as it was light and airey and not hidden away downstairs in a room with no windows. Also, we booked half board so paid in cash for our drinks at lunchtime. One day we were not given a receipt but went and paid for our drinks. Upon checkout we were given a bill for the drinks. We explained, but were told we had signed the ticket. Yes we had, as we did everyday but we had paid for the drinks. The receptionist basically said, tough, we have not got a record of payment and didn’t try to help. We could have left the restaurant and not paid, but we were honest enough to wait and pay the bill. Very poor customer service. We did have a great time and met some fabulous people, including a lovely elderly lady called Violet; amazing. We would not return though to this hotel unless the blatant segregation of deluxe and standard customers is addressed. We also understand there are 2 restaurants due to open for deluxe customers only! Really! There are other ways to meet requirements of those wishing to book deluxe without the “us and them” label.

Clean friendly hotel. Staff are polite and professional and have a can do approach. Going Delux gave you a better room/view and few added luxuries. Don't think I'd like to stay at this hotel if you didn't upgrade to the Delux. We were half board. Breakfast was really nice but we didn't rate the evening meals so we ate out. Entertainment wasn't anything special which was another reason we left the hotel in the evenings. Saying this I would stay here again if we returned to Lanzarote and I do recommend.

Great hotel in a great location with good cuisine, champagne for breakfast, live violin music, seafood for dinner on Saturdays, walking distance to the beaches of Papagaio, the volcano of Montaña Rocha, and so to spend time. The pool is heated, tea in the lobby is 16.00 with muffins and biscuits, spa, market on Wednesdays and Saturdays 10 minutes walk from the hotel in the area of the beautiful marina with a common village pool, live fish, boutiques and a hypermarket.

Nice Hotel, clean and friendly staff. Provided with spa indoor pool. Very nice outdoor pools, of which one heated. Kitchen average.

Excellent four-star best in my opinion q one d five. Are pending d all and some q they can pass something but we are all human. I give a 5 out of 5

Beautiful location Comfortable and spacious rooms. Good cooking. Pools. Animation. Some disorganization in the service: no one speaks Italian. At dinner and breakfast often you have to queue because the room is not capacente.

Buffet excellent, both at breakfast and in meals. In my opinion, stands out for its pastries and sweets with puff pastry. The staff is very friendly and the service in general first.

The hotel is close to the beautiful beach, but also has several own heated pools. The food is very good and the Peronal is nice and helpful.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and would stay here again. It is perfectly situated, close to the beach, Marina Rubicon and the town. We were early arriving at check in, luckily enough there was a room ready for us, not the perfect room but better than waiting another couple of hours. The rooms are clean and quite spacious with a fridge but sadly no kettle (I take my own) Our view was sadly over looking the old golf course but could have had one over looking the pool if we had waited so that’s our own fault. Breakfast has a good selection of different options such as cereals, fried and continental with coffee, tea and fruit juices, but I was a little disappointed with the evening meal because unless you were AI you had to pay for any drink including water. Try and get to the restaurant early to save cueing! I love the reception area with the turtles in the pond, but would love to know were they are at night, could never find them! The staff are pleasant, the rooms are cleaned daily and it’s a very nice hotel, yes I would recommend it. One last thing, as a smoker myself, l do think you should be able to smoke on the balcony and an ashtray should be supplied, so that people above do not drop their lit cigarette ends onto your balcony! NO SMOKING IN ANY OF THE ROOMS I thoroughly agree.

Professional and friendly staff. The rooms large and the beds comfortable. By putting a but ask a couple of capsules of coffee for the machine welcome to the room and sent us to reception to buy the coffees. I think that this type of details will take care of all the hotel chains and have no cost. It is a suggestion, not a criticism.

We x the afternoon. Tell us at reception, among other things, q for dinner, long trousers for the swimming pool q cannot reserve the sunbeds. When we went to dinner we saw q one was in short-shorts, tells us the head room that if it is not very short can be?. The next day at the pool, we see that many left in the hammock in the towel and are taking a long time to return in 2 or 3 hours or even more. Great hotel, clean rooms and nice staff. Food is good, but you often have to wait a long time. There are also areas for normal and luxury guests. Such a two-class society in a hotel does not come well.

Large foyer and huge hotel. For the musicians who perform there in the evening, but no possibilities for changing clothes. They have to move in the 2 toilets (for the guests). Is there no room left? Sad…

A hotel that has come into the years. Nice staff. Heated pool. Furniture worn out. Beds OK. Very extensive food offer. Less, at better quality, would be nice. Unfortunately no heating in the entire hotel. Doors to the rooms leaking. Due to the open construction of the hotel it attracts. Not recommended in cold season. Had heating pads with them. Had to hide at night with sweaters and long trousers in bed. Location great.

We are staying at this hotel, we are in MP and since we checked in at no time at reception we were told that the drinks at dinner are paid… I'm still looking for the hotel website or somewhere besides the comments where it appears that you have to pay. Repeated breakfasts and dinners… a shame.
The rooms are OK, nothing from the other world, the problem is that you are not prepared for the cold you are doing these days and in the evenings you pass as you can, there are blankets to older in the room but we have already disappeared…
We will not return to this hotel that the 4 * is very large and not to mention the maintenance.

This place is huge!
When we arrived, we had champagnes and apple juice for the children, there was a porter to take our suitcases to our room… Great!
Then we discovered the immense hall covered with greenery, breathtaking!
We had a family suite when we were only three, it was huge, functional and we had a big balcony.
And then, when we got out, we see 2 small pools and a much bigger one.
We were filled. The staff helped and advised us to the end. We discovered the DeLuxe service which allows some advantages.
Location very well located in front of a small walk that allows either to go into town or go to restaurants, tourist shops, etc.
I hope we will return to this hotel.

The staff are friendly and helpful, go the extra mile for you. Disappointed with the food. The Hotel location is ideal, the view is great. Walking along the promenade gets you to the centre of Playa Blanca in under 10 minutes.

Environment for cycling is very suitable… Hotel complex for everyone but surprisingly quiet. Typical Buffet International. The service is okay, sometimes also slightly overloaded, at least at the reception. Prices for drinks overpriced, a glass of dry house wine e. G. Plant clean, appealing inside, the building complex externally functional. Pool area OK, top indoor pool within but also very expensive 8, €0 for that super training possibilities. The location is perfect.

All right, all right, a point location, the bartenders and cooks very professional and friendly. The buffet is quite varied, there are many areas to share with family and I have many fond memories of this place, I would return without thinking twice. The rooms are also excellent quite large and very clean.

This is a pleasant hotel which is situated centrally to all other amenities such as shops, marina, bars and restaurants. There really two types of rooms available deluxe and standard. Deluxe entitles you to extras such as a quiet area as well as separate restaurant and pool area. This can be useful when it gets busy in the communial areas. The hotel however does not come up to scratch if the weather is not to the norm. There is no heating in the rooms and if cold your only rest byte is an extra blanket. However you still need to get up in the morning to shower in the cold. Not pleasant. A 4* hotel should provide its customers with the comfort they need for the short stay they have if they wish for them on return in the future. Food is well prepared and if you are early enough it is hot. Some dishes are cooked when required. Staff are always polite and helpful.

It's a 4 star hotel, but it doesn't deserve more than 3 stars.
The staff were very friendly.
There is not a lot of variety of meals. There is live cooking, but the meat (beef) do not do it to your liking, but give you what is already done (and very past), by order of the director, according to the Cook said.
The bathroom in the room only had 2 soap tablets and the shower gel-shampoo. All the hotels of more than 3 stars offer you more toiletries.
Very good animation, but it ended early, at 22.30. The beach is relatively close.

Great hotel in a prime location next to the sea. Good service with friendly staff. The deluxe surcharge is highly recommended. Two pools in front of and behind the hotel allow you to bathe comfortably. The rooms are not outstanding but domestic.
The food is very versatile and good.

A very nice hotel and well placed by the seaside. The rooms are spacious and modern (take the rooms with sea view! ). The staff are considerate (special mention to Mahmoud aka Jacques Chirac). The restaurant is good and offers different themes every evening. Small improvement desired at the level of the decoration of the restaurant. If you want to visit Lanzarote, this is where you have to book. Little Plus, a SPA is integrated into the hotel and one of the pools is heated…

Fabulous hotel located in an idyllic place to just fall from the room of a Chiquitita beach and very nice "Playa Blanca", quiet and very good atmosphere, the hotel enjoys a great facilities, great buffet with performances every night after the Dinner taking you a drink or Coktel.
Pools I agreed to the area where the hotel is located, bar-restaurant in pool pretty good.
Spacious and good rooms with excellent room service, has the beach next door, when you leave the beach enjoy the hotel of a faucet to take away the great and amazing sand of the beach.
We would definitely repeat, quality/price of ten, hotel highly recommended.

We have first half and we are here 7 times. Despite rebuilding and some construction noise, it gets nicer every time. We lack nothing, especially the staff is so kind and helpful that every day is a delight. Thank God our time is not over yet. Thank you.

I really like this hotel it is the second year that we have been here over the new year. And the staff of always been very welcoming and friendly the rooms are amazing and very comfortable and always clean the food is amazing and we only had a standard room when we got here we had the choice to upgrade to deluxe which I hear the food is even better which is hard for me to understand so next time we may try to deluxe. The swimming pools at the front are heated which is great and the pool bar does amazing snacks throughout the day also you get champagne on arrival and for a child they do a nice child's drink in a champagne glass makes them feel very welcome.

Right Hotel. Well located. The Deluxe room very fair in size considering what it costs. The terrace of the room, however, is spacious and is furnished for use.

A four star very well located but with some shortcomings. In the bath, gel, 2 tablets of soap and a sponge. After 5 days I put 2 pairs of slippers, buffet better…

Excellent hotel located in Playa Blanca, a huge resort designed primarily for British/German foreign tourism. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Normal Buffet to the second meal you're tired. We coincided with a refurbishment of one of the hotel halls and every morning we listened to the play.

The hotel is very good, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is not bad but the half board dinners are another thing. To begin with, lack of variety, good luck that we did not come with children, because the area of child food is minuscule, as for adults, the food at least has quality, the variety is not much, but what is not bad, well cooked. But above all what makes me lower the rating note is that after paying what you pay for the half board, is not included the drink of the dinners, which also is not exactly cheap, in fact if you're going to drink wine, you better go to dinner outside and ask for a bottle of wine with some tapas, is a crappy muyyyyyyyy detail.
On the other hand, the heated outdoor pool allowed us to bathe even though the weather did not accompany and the attention of the staff is very good and you feel very welcome.

Hotel for adults only. Nice quiet. The food could be improved. Very good reception and responsive staff. However around the pool could be more vigilant regarding the removal of glasses and other waste left by holidaymakers. No parking. Close to the beach and facing a supermercado.

Breakfast is spectacular. You have everything: sweet, salty, cereals, fruit… They make pancakes, bacon, eggs and much more. The staff is very nice and they are always willing to help you. They speak many languages (Spanish, English, French, German…). The only bad thing is that in the room you don't have the typical shampoo, bath cap or softener. However if you go to the front desk you get it without any problems. All in all it is a very nice hotel where you spend a very good holiday.

Good place and I'd recommend deluxe as the breakfast is much better. The aqua aerobics around the main pool at 11:30 every morning gets a bit much and we ended up leaving the area for that period as the music is too loud. All staff very friendly and helpful. Great location to get to the harbour or restaurant strip. Beach very close.

Hotel pretty well located, good reception with cava or orange juice, few staff speak French, but no problems, the staff is very professional and pleasant, the hotel is at the beach close to the shops and transports like taxi and bus, several Swimming pools, buffet in the morning lunch and evening, 2 bar at disposal, possibility of renting a car at the reception, passing by the small Opel or seat or passing by cars a can more prestigious as Range Rover to visit the island easily without having to do Excursions or take a taxi. Nothing to say about negative at the moment, thanks a lot to Israel for the reception for the aides and are professionalism.

Great location, great food, clean spacious rooms, mattresses a bit hard, good facilities. Would definitely return there. Large main pool, heated plus another large quieter pool at the back of the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2016. Great location on Playa Blanca, opposite C is the beach. In 10minuti you reach the centre where you can find shops, restaurants and clubs. The only drawback is the food, not the height of a 4

Really nice Hotel. Clean and hospitable rooms. It has various facilities such as two swimming pools (one of two heated) and various play areas for adults and children. There is a good animation. Great breakfast buffet, plentiful and with a really wide choice of food.

I'm just back from Lanzarote, and stayed in The Hesperia Playa Dorado Hotel, it was a brilliant hotel, everything was amazing, hotel, service, staff, food, I wouldn't even think twice about recommending someone to stay there. We were 8 minutes from the strip of shops, 5 minutes from the beach, and 5 minutes from the marina which had a market on Wednesday and Saturday. (These were all walking distances) Excellent!

We have hosted my husband, my granddaughter of 9 years and I, a week in mayo. From the Agency inform you clearly that went with a girl celiac, so it communicate to the hotel if that could be a problem and his response however was positive, us said that not us Ahold that controlled the theme, and us were "quiet". Since arrived it returned to warn whenever there are, us said that the girl would have that choose their menu from the day previous, and the truth not know or for what, because not there was a day that not terminaramos my husband and I of eat and to Lucía not you had extruded or the first dish… To the third day, you sirveron a soup and meat with potatoes, and after 1 h my granddaughter is rush because is was wrong and effectively ended with vomiting and diarrhea by poisoning that by luck only lasted a day. Do so controlled? When had a menu allegedly organized and suitable to their situation, and without give is has of that you were putting ingredients that contain gluten… but that CONTROL is that? Apologies not missed from the personal, but that not is enough when put the health of a girl in game, and less still of holidays! Nor saw responsibility from them responsible of the control of food since the buns of the bread for celiac that you served them had that find with rust, and that me says that is a theme that is has abandoned.

Well located, a little old but all very kind. The normal room has a piece of sea from the terrace a bit… just deception deluxe them have real view. Very quiet and clean.

Great hotel with wonderfull staff.

I went in February and it was very good. But we booked that hotel because we wanted a hotel that had an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool but they said you had to be 16 or over to go in. Apart from that it was brilliant and I loved it. I definitely recommend going to Lanzarote and going to Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada. ☺☺

Guests are segregated depending on how much they paid for their rooms and most things seem to cost extra. Pictures shown online etc are actually in what they call the Wellness Centre which you have to pay to use unless you are a Deluxe customer. The gym costs, towels for the pool cost and they have a very time consuming system in place where you have to go to reception and pay €20 deposit per towel, sign a bit of paper, take it to the Wellness Centre and they will give you towels. It is then €1 per towel you change which is each day. To get a safe you also have to go through this deposit process, this is €10 euros plus €2.60 per day charge. There are no mini bars in the room, this also has to be rented at which point they will put one in your room (really strange). There is no tea and coffee to be found anywhere in the hotel. Food is often not cooked properly and buffet is left a mess and not properly cleaned up. They seem to be very short staffed and make the staff they do have run around constantly even though there is no way they can possibly get everything done. Drinks are very expensive, upwards of €2.50 for bottled water and soft drinks. Staff can come across as quite rude and try to hurry everything along so they can spend less time talking to you when you have problems. Swimming pools are cold which I have experienced at other hotels but it would be nice if they were heated. Quite disappointed overall. However, the room is clean and the weather has been nice.

Just returned from 1 week stay. Hotel very clean, staff nice, animation team excellent although did not get many takers for the activities the week we were there. Hotel position is excellent right next to Playa Dorada beach and the very pleasant promenade into town and the other way to Papagayo. The food in the standard (blue arm band guests) was terrible. Every night the food was cold or tepid at best and the fact that management had provided a customer microwave seemed to suggest that they already were aware of the food quality. The chef seemed to have no imagination and food was basically the same each night ie pork and fish. The ovens and food heaters were just not up to standard and the food produced could be nothing but cold every night I actually waited 5 mins for a fresh pizza slice hot out of the oven but even this was barely warm. Clearly management need to address these issues of equipment and chef quality. The aspect of two tier clients ie deluxe /standard would not have bothered me if our standard food would have been nice but it was barely edible. What a shame because this is a nice hotel and could be great but clearly deluxe clients must get the good food and hopefully the hot food to warrant paying more for their holidays.

There are no 3 star Hotel. Grapes are moldy. No corresponding offer. Ice cream from paper cups. Meat zaeh Wait on drinks and the Abraeumen. Hotel Breakfast ok, if you with 2 types of Rolls and Pappmarmelade is satisfied.

A quiet place, both internal and external pools and beach within walking distance of the hotel. Close enough to the Centre of the country. Huge selection for breakfast, even not deluxe. There are bars and restaurant within the complex. Friendly staff who speak many languages.

We were 15 at the hotel in November, and have to say that we were completely satisfied. It was very quiet in the plant, the food tasted delicious, every day fresh meat, fish and fruit. The room was clean, the terrace spacious and welcoming, the beautiful sandy beach was 2 minutes, price has passed around many Wandermöglchkeiten… A super holiday!

Rating this hotel is difficult. Better to perhaps break it down as follows:- Staff — 5 stars Cleaness (pool and sun area) 5 star Cleaness (recption, lounges and dinning areas) 5 star. Cleaness (Delux lounge) 5 star Food (none Delux) 3.5 stars. Food (Delux) slightly better presented then 'none Delux' 4 stars. Cleaness of room 1120 1st — 6th day 5 star.

Were 2012 and there is still no Hotel, has been surpassed … location 1a, Animation 1a, kindness 1a (except for the lifeguard on duty) Pool and Annex 1a-maintained, the room size is not optimal.

The hotel that we were last year and we have repeated two weeks now in the second half of October. We have found something under the Vulcano restaurant Buffet but we have seen interest in seeking solutions. Rooms very well, as well as the staff (thanks for your attention) and of course very helpful. All this leaves us in chances to repeat.

I met this hotel 8 years ago. Regarding the rooms don't have no complaints, even have been refurbished. But the buffet, animation and staff the hotel has lost quality. It would be a 3 *, but good location that makes it have one star rather than as such it would not correspond you.

Location unbeatable. The facilities are very good, the pools especially. As for the buffet, pretty small and the additional services, as gym, or a safe, all paid for. The room service only makes the bed and changes towels. The change of sheets is every several days. In summary, it is a hotel highly recommended if you're looking for is to go to the beach or pool, but not to make life within the.
