Albergue Alfonso II Hostel

Staff is very nice and helpful. Big bedroom with lockers. Free Wi-fi in all place. Laundry and dryier. Have a garden downstairs and bar upstairs.

Really nice, clean room with your own lockers (include key), friendly staff, my friend has been bitten by bed bug two days ago and she wanted to dry the clothes again. When we told staff, she helped us immediately with 3hr high heat drying. 10€ per bed. You own charge beside each bed, a balcony, a big space for hanging your clothes. There are 2 wash machines (3€), and 2 dryers (4€) as well. The only thing I don't like is the shower, push button and the small shower space, but don't worry, there's the space outside, they have the door to cover you.

Kind owner and receptionist! And their menus are good enough for refreshment or light meal Clean and wide facility (balcony tables and dinning area good! ) Shower water is little too hot… and no kitchen is only shortage I stayed satisfactorily.

I loved it and very much, very clean very new, totally recommended and the people who attended us very good made us feel at home, would repeat without any doubt. Thank you.

Passing through with my brother for St Jacques we enjoyed the modern albergue with all the comforts. Especially a big thank you for the warm welcome of the staff attentive to the needs of the pilgrims. Albergue that I recommend with a visit to the restaurant to taste the Pulpo specialty of Mélide.

Upon entering Melide we were in this hostel, which is the last hostel of the primitive way. We loved how new and tidy it is everything, we were accommodated in a 4 seater room. It is a very intuitive hostel and everything is designed for the welfare of the pilgrim, Hammocks in the garden, tables and chairs in the wide balcony to take a soda, etc. But surely the best of all is to see the dawn and awakening of the new Day from its galleries … the phenomenal rest and spectacular views.

The facilities are new and well-equipped. Too many beds per room (although it is in the line of the rest of hostels). Perhaps the least I liked is that the area to wash and dry the clothes as well as the clotheslines are in the garden. And in the garden is allowed to have pilgrim dogs. That part didn't seem too hygienic.

Very pleasant and attentive. The hostel has an outdoor area in the back where to sit and tend; and a little bar. It has double rooms on the top floor.

Very good, it lacks to have kitchen. Otherwise very well.

Great place and the best staff on the camino.

The facilities are very new, as can be seen, but it is the attention of its people that truly stands out. It reminded Me of the hostels before the last 100 km I Had a medical problem in the foot, and the woman offered to take me in his car to the health centre! Everything in general excellent!

The place where the best treatment I have received in my life. Hostel is new, very clean, fully covers all the needs you may have. But Bethany and her mother are wonderful, attentive, pleasant. The best not only of the Road but any site where I have hosted.

A really clean albergue. The staff was really nice. There was a school class in the big sleeping room so the staff let us sleep in a much smaller room upstairs. thank you.

The first hostel a hostel with excellent facilities and original there are in Melide in Camino Primitivo and just 200 metres from the French way, without doubt… a tribute to the first Pilgrim history, Afonso ll chaste, which in the century lX made the road from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela… also are in luck be designated both the primitive road and North road goods world heritage by UNESCO… CONGRATULATIONS!
