Madrid may be our new favorite city, and the Marriott EDITIONS are certainly our new favorite hotels. My wife and I spent five chilly, rainy nights in the Spanish capital leading up to Easter. But the weather didn’t matter. The streets were packed with people from all over Spain who come to see the religious processions and celebrate Holy Week. It was a great vibe.
The service at this hotel was something I did not think existed any more. The staff were so nice and surprised us with chocolates and drinks after we checked in to our room. A few hours later we received a phone call to make sure everything was to our liking. My husband and I discussed the idea that they may have mistaken us for celebrities!
I booked this hotel originally because I am a fan of Ian Schrager's interior design and it did not disappoint.
My family and I stayed here in April 2024 and I think this might be the best hotel we've ever stayed in while traveling! Everything about it was on point. Staff were super welcoming. Our room was ready even though we checked in early (which was great given how jet lagged we were). The entrance and lounge area were so impressive. The room was beautiful: clean, comfortable, spacious. The shower was amazing! Location is central. Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace and Opera House are all 5-10 min walking.
