Safestay Madrid Central Hostel

Good staff, very helpful. Clean and decent place. Worth every euro.

This is a great hostel, a steal for the price. Very clean and comfortable, in a great part of town, has a decent breakfast and a nice TV room we used to watch the World Cup. My room had an amazing view of the square outside that made it feel super fancy, even if it was a bit noisy at night. The one thing I would say against it is that the top bunk beds have horrible stairs to climb, the steps are wayyy too far apart. I have knee issues and I couldn't climb them at all.

Very nice, cute place. Never felt unsafe with my bags or in general. It was my first time staying there for 3 nights and it was nice. It’s also a good walking distance from the major places, if you’re up for the walk! Would definitely recommend and would most likely book in the future again!

Lovely place; clean, colorful and friendly welcoming staff. We arrived early before check in and they offered us a locker to leave our stuff and tour freely in the city, also the cinema room was great. And the free walking tour with tour guide Erica was just amazing she told us intersting information about the city and its history in a way that looks like a story. Totally loved it.

I love this place! The people are great, its very clean and the Breakfast ist delicious.

Beautiful hostel, it was a surprise I did not expect so… Beautiful modern design, fabulous location Central and full of movement, youthful environment with the go of guys who organize exits, walks and whatnot, the cleanliness of the hostel excellent, shared bathrooms but clean and well organized despite the " Public "The showers and the toilets are still quite reserved each shower is separated from the other enclosed by 4 walls and then becomes a private shower each of which is closed with the door as well as the toilet, good breakfast buffet and very nice staff Young and very helpful, absolutely recommended and a quality/price ratio not to be believed…

The person who is in the breakfasts is very cavalier, ask if you have token as if one was stealing breakfast, additional I had paid with breakfast and I charged… the place very nice but the truth to the staff is not interested in customer service or satisfaction Ción.

Good location. Very good and friendly staff (usually), but very slow if you go in the afternoon, because of the lack of personnel. Clean unless you are unlucky and you get there after some dirty travellers. Fair price and beds in good condition (even tho, to climb that Everest upper bunk beds is hard). Breakfast very good for the price, but if you want to have a good coffee don't take it there You general experience will be good :) I stayed already two times and I will repeat.

All good: Good food, good rooms, good showers… Overall all very clean and tidy.

Super clean, very well located, nice and all very friendly. There is no noise to think of it being in an area with continuous traffic.

I highly recommend this hotel really good value for money, clean room, the staff is super friendly, surtt the most beautiful Laeticia (at the restaurant) it is really great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a movie theater! The only problem is that the Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. 9, 5pts.

Great place! Very comfortable and clean rooms. The showers are very clean, being common. The perfect location.

Great hostel. Beds are very comfortable and they have thick blankets. Only problem we had was the first night the room was extremely hot, specifically for those on the top bunk. However we were able to resolve the issue by simply informing the reception desk who let us know they normally run the heat on 70, but they turned it off within 15 minutes of us asking. We took a walking tour and Erica was a wonderful tour guide.

I absolutely LOVED this place. The staff were so nice and accommodating, anyone I spoke to had English or could find me someone who did, there were SWINGS IN THE HALLWAYS (SELLING POINT RIGHT THERE), breakfast included so continental buffet, and the rooms were just the bet I've seen in a hostel. So comfy! And you can get a lock with a deposit at reception for a locker. So impressed, will probably be back if at all possible! Really cool events too, but we didn't get around to going to any unfortunately. Oh. An they have a cinema where you can choose what to watch on like Netflix, also adorable and perfect. ❤️

Check in took an hour long and only one person in front of me and three people behind the desks. They told me they had no rooms but 10 rooms on hostel world so had to book it on there. They had a couple different buss groups, place was packed and my room was next to the buss group, so loud, paper thin walls. I went down for breakfast and had a piece of bread and was harassed by the breakfast lady for not paying. Manager came over as well and it was very rude of them to make a stink about a piece of bread. The place was packed with 12-15 year old kids about 50 of them. And it was all picked thou, bread was the only thing left. And they charged me 3.50€ for a slice of bread. Staff was rude and unpleasant! They care more about packing people in than each individual.

We spent there 4 nights in a private ensuite room. Extremely clean and modern. Room was very spacious. 15 min walk from Plaza del Sol. 100m from subway. Nice breakfast for just 3.5 euros. Staff was very helpful a nice. Absolutely recommend it.

Very good experience, People disponible and able to help you if ever you need. Good cleaningless. Possibility to cook/have a drink in the hostel. Perfect to spend a few days/weeks if you are currently looking for a flat in Madrid.

Everything was always very good until on my last day someone broke the padlocks on my luggage and stole my camera. From the Hostel I did not get too many explanations nor did the guest information with access to the same room. The complaint is made in the police but I will never be able to know what happened or who took my camera.

Great location, good value for the price. Very pleasant staff, take care of the guests!

The hostel is great, very clean and warmhearted. The staff is amazing and super nice, plus the pub crawls are really good, Edu is the best!

Lockers don't work, kitchen doesn't have as stove and heating doesn't work as well so I got sick during my stay… On the other hand it's clean and the showers are good. In the end the its worth less money than you pay for.

The hostel is very clean and it is super quiet. I had confused when making the reservation and Diana changed everything to fit my needs. I would recommend it to everybody!

Great hostel. The staff at this hostel are very friendly, the rooms were also nice and clean. This hostel also offers walking tours of Madrid. The lady running the walking tours from the hostel (Erica) was very knowledgeable about the history of Spain and Madrid and did a very good job with the walking tour.

I just got back home from 10 days at Safestay Madrid and a few words is a must!
The staff are just incredible nice and super welcoming!
I don't use hostel and I was a bit skeptical about it.
Once I arrived they made me feel at home and in a new family! Crazy!

Had the best time here! Such a cool vibe with really great people and enthusiastic and welcoming staff! Great location too! With really cool bars/restaurants in the surrounding area! Also the dorms, showers, toilets are very clean! Would also highly recommend the pub bar crawl! As all the hosts are absolute jokers! Would defo come back! Xxxx.

Very good atmosphere, staff super friendly, there is always movement, organized games (either drinking games or card games, or Twistter), has metegol, a projection room for Netflix and play 4, hammocks, beds super-comfortable. The best hostel in Madrid!

Great location and really affordable. Modern, clean. Perhaps not recommended for families. In the end, it is a hostel (shared rooms, possible mess night in the halls…)

Beautiful hostel, very clean, great atmosphere, very good customer service. The room with bathroom does not have anything to envy to an hotel. A detail that is appreciated: the Wi-Fi connection works great. Would return without a doubt.

Great overall, but beware of added services like breakfast, towels, padlock. Shampoo … etc. It can easily double or triple ur bill.

The rooms were wonderful and clean. I had an excellent view from my room to. Staff were so lovely and always happy to help. The location is excellent, supermarket right next door, pubs and food right next door and the train station is so close! I will be back :)

Single-sided Breakfast, rooms were not cleaned, useless rules of the house, after all, good Wi-Fi! therefore, my judgment 1 star.

The Breakfast was really bad, barely edible & there is no selection. The rooms were very Good & the Internet was working. The staff was partially very unfriendly. The house rules is totally inappropriate.

Very good location, modern facilities and comprehensive and the staff attentive. We stayed in a double and it has nothing to envy to an hotel. It is perfect for a getaway. We will repeat!

If there is no option to put no star so would. If you're looking to spend a nice vacation here, better stay in your house. However if you hate that things are clean and you like being treated like a dog, prepare to pay for it.

Clean rooms, sheets and towels. Free Wi-Fi. We had a problem with a leaky vanity and it was fixed promptly while we were out for dinner. There are female only floors too which was a nice touch. Breakfast is basic so go elsewhere if you want something extra beyond cereal and toast with ham and churros. You can also hear people outside your room walking/talking/doors opening and closing etc as the walls/doors are not totally soundproof.

Welcoming and excellent for spending the night.

Communal bathrooms. The breakfast was very sparce and we had to pay of we wanted something more than toast and a churos. We had to pay for towels no mirrors In the room. Although one plus the hostel was kept very clean. The ladies were on their hands and knees scrubbing the showers after our first day.

Prercios accessible location and a very quiet and safe area to spend the holidays in Spain.

Good attention. Very neat and clean. You sleep well since the rooms are well separated. Breakfast not included, but x 3 euro is breakfast very well.

You won't regret staying here. If you're traveling alone, as I was, it's an awesome way to meet great people from all over the world. They also offer a variety of guided activities in the city, no matter what you're into when you travel.

Great experience! I really liked the hostel! Very clean, great location and wonderful staff! very helpful! I stayed 3 nights in one 8 people dorm! the room was super big! Bathrooms are shared but there were always clean! Wifi was fine I really recommended.

I was with fellow students for a week on a study trip in Madrid, and the hostel was far from comfortable. The philosophy, which portrays the hostel on their homepage is downright hypocritical.
The free breakfast is very one-sided, the room smelled musty and the bedding was intended apparently only for small people. But was the worst ever, that I after two days of little
Had bites on the hands and neck, diagnosis: bed bugs. Not only I was affected, but also other fellow students.
That was really disgusting, I regret the stay at this hostel and will watch me in the future to sleep in so cheap hostel!

The facilities, the location and the service are quite pleasant. Just to point out that changing the pillows, I understand that happens a lot of people and deteriorate, mine was fatal, and therefore it would not stop very well. Are small improvements /fixes that must not be neglected. Thanks.

I stayed in your hostel a month ago when I first arrived to Spain and I want to thank you for the wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind and generous and I really appreciated that. Unbeatable! The best hostel in Madrid. Perfect location in one of the more lively neighborhoods and very well connected with train stations, buses and airport (metro and bus at the door). It is very clean, modern and cheap. The staff is wonderful, they helped me in everything! In addition, they offer a lot of activities (city tours, route of bars, shows…). And also organize parties in the bar that are just below, which is called MeetMe. Saturday night my friends and I had a few drinks there, it was very fun, worth the trip! I would have no hesitation, I will say!

Best hostel so far! I have been traveling for 6 months and this is the best hostel I've been! Big dorms and with everything you need, every bed have a plug, nice mattress and tall bunk beds. Really recommend the lower bunk bed, top ones could be scary… The hostel is super clean! bathrooms are really nice with a powerful shower! The activities are great! really good walking tourrrr! Perfect place for solo travelers! really easy to meet people! ahhh don't forget Meet Me! the bar on the basement is amazing! I really recommend this hostel!

In full Malasaña, the hostel is very new and spacious. It also has breakfast included two toast+coffee or milk or juice. The rooms in which we have a mini-terrace, and are decorated with some poetic phrase. There is option of renting a lock there to the ticket office (there is one per bed), and a storage room. The showers are spacious, have a shower, and well equipped with hangers etc.
