Hostal San Antonio Hostel

Very good service and simple rooms. Very close to everything. We'll do it again. We recommend it in every way.

The place is exquisite. Good deal. It penalizes the pocket (it is expensive) and dishes only à la carte. Otherwise very good especially for being quiet place.

Set to by sound (its going anyway) in the room where I was clean and well located.

Downtown. Great for a weekend getaway and enjoy life in the heart of Madrid.

The room was clean. They were missing blankets.
The lady and the Lord who are in charge of the hostel are aggressive and homophobic.
It is true that it was not possible to receive visitors (which I do not see logical if the visit will come alone for a while and can be a friend) but I went with a friend to get my bags before check-out time to get back to Barcelona and the owner insisted that Abandonaramos The hostel, pushed us, insulted us, threatened and called the police because they thought we were going to do things in the room.

An average hostel like many of those who populate the center of Madrid. The downside is that it is on a second floor staircase and that the rooms are very very small. It is a very quaint place and is very cheap, but not apt to come back after a day of walking around the center… Lots of gastronomic offers in the surroundings and very safe place.

Top notch for just a "hostal"! Great staff, great location, in the heart of culinary Madrid.

Good location, nice, clean, helpful. Better than a hotel. The owners welcome you with kindness and inform you about the places to visit, means of transport. Perfect, excellent.

It is a clean place, the single room is very small but it is acceptable for the economic price. You can not miss the detail that is a 2nd floor staircase. With suitcases or older people can complicate a bit.

This hotel is in the perfect location in central Madrid. The room in very tiny and clean, with a very tiny bathroom that is newly renovated, but has no fan. The hotel staff are extremely nice and accomodating. We have a little balcony that overlooks the street. There is air-conditioning and room service. It seems very safe. There is no elevator, which may be a problem for people with mobility issues. The hotel is very cool inside, verging on cold, but that is better than being too hot.

Double room is not massive but decent size, location is very close to the centre, lots of shops restaurants and bars around.

I have stayed here twice (once in the summer of 2014, once in the winter 2016) and I will stay here every time I go to Madrid. The staff is very nice and accommodating, they will do almost anything in order to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The room size is very adequate especially for how cheap the price is. The best part is it is very clean. The sheets were fresh and very comfortable. It's located in a perfect part of the city. It's within walking distance of many fun places and is right near the subway station. In the summer is it not too hot, and in the winter it is nice and cozy. The bathroom is a great size for European hotel rooms (and that's coming from a space hogging American). If you are looking for a great place to stay without hurting the budget, you cannot do better than the Hostal San Antonio.

The hotel is very clean and centrally located. It's a two minute walk to the metro from the hotel, in what appears to be a very safe area. The private bathroom was very clean and was stocked with all the necessities. I've used this hotel on two separate trips, and would return again!

Very decent place for a hostal. An interesting old building with high ceilings. Cozy rooms with bathroom in a room and even with bathroom supplies. Even though staff at reception does not speak English perfectly, they all are totally cute. Only suggestion is to give more than one set of keys to a family.

A place cosy, clean, with try very human, downtown and economic. It brings together as you can ask a hostel. Totally recommended.
