Nice consistent hotel. Reasonably priced when booked in advance. Clean with friendly staff. Conveinent restaurant and bar. Good breakfast menu.

Stayed in twin room. The room was large. Furnished with dark wood furniture and TV (though I didn't have the time to switch it on). The beds were firm and comfortable and the curtains ensured the room was dark enough to enjoy a fabulous lie in after a late night revelling. The shower was attached to bath taps so you had to climb into the bath to shower but the shower head was big providing good pressure. Check out was 12am thankfully (more excessive revelling) so never sampled the food at the hotel. Overall excellent place to stay for weekend. Close to centre and station with helpful polite staff.

Near Atocha Station good service.

Very well. Areas and rooms for smokers. Super clean everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside we went in couple and the beds were single (we put them together and we were not changed) two minutes walk from the metro station Menéndez Pelayo.

We had a room against the courtyard so no Strassenläm was heard. The bed (mattresses) was pleasantly soft and comfortable.
For a 4 star hotel it has come a little over the years. A renovation would be necessary.
The walls are so thin that you hear the neighbor breathing. The doors are without gaskets and fast so loud too.

Lives up to the website ads. The location is awesome and the staff speaks at least four different languages. No complaints at all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Quite well placed especially compared to Atocha. Average restaurant on the other hand.

Good value for money The only high heating and no possibility of shutting down. Otherwise very happy.

The Hotel Agumar is an excellent establishment, very well located in MADRID (possibility to visit almost all the sites on foot). Very good value for money, varied breakfasts and copious, cleanliness and impeccable friendliness.

Comfortable Hotel with all the services and close to Atocha the only downside is that it is somewhat outdated. The rooms are not lacking in anything and are comfortable but it touches updating the and the individual to the neighbors courtyard. The breakfast was good.

Pleasant hotel. But breakfast wasn't worth the money.

The location is the fort and the cafeteria. The old rooms, little natural and artificial light. He's got a star left for the hotel's consideration.

It was ok. The localisation is good, and the room has what you need but you can hear everything (not well isolated at all) and the decoration is a bit old fashion.

I ran into an old hotel. Old rooms in the Q practically did not fit in the bed (Mido Q. 78 Nothing out of the ordinary) I have to recognize Q was all clean and the breakfast was correct.

High-Class Hotel. The room was very clean and the staff friendly and attentive. Recommended for a luxury stay.

Beds are comfy, hotel is quiet, bathrooms have a bathtub (and great water pressure), the view is of apartment buildings, staff are attentive, helpful and friendly and they have an inexpensive (by European and hotel standards) and very varied breakfast buffet including yogurts, cereals, different kinds of breads and rolls, deli meats and cheeses, 4 hot items including scrambled eggs, hot beverages, juices and more… which is a great addition for those of us who are used to eating more than just toast with tomato for breakfast. Yes, some rooms and hallways of the hotel are a little worn and dated (wallpaper and rugs) but it's comfortable, a good price and in a centric and nice neighborhood. Will definitely stay here again.

Very old Hotel, carpeted in floor, dark walls, poor lighting and very old decoration. Very simple cafeteria bar, too much for a supposedly 4 star hotel that would be a 3 star at this time or in any other city. This well communicated but in the same street and in the adjoining there is nothing attractive nor to, level of shops and less of restoration. Most businesses are Chinese.

Public transportation is easy. About 3 blocks from the train station as well as one of the hop on off bus stops. Reception staff provided excellent service and gave specific directions. Truly excellent customer service. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of offerings. Beds and pillows are heavenly. Room was spacious and good shower water flow. You can get lost in one of those gigantic bath towels… the size of a heavy duty beach towel. You would love staying here and give yourself a treat without breaking the bank.

I did not enjoy my stay here, which was because my room had no natural light and cramped. It could and should of been good but though the staff were helpful though they never smiled. The hotel felt flat for some reason. They provided a good choice of breakfast. The location is good and the train station is really close which greatly influenced my choice. Museums close by also hop on bus stops are a short walk if you use them, I did and enjoyed being able to see so much in a few days.

The rooms are pretty nice. The location is great for touring because of the close location to many major attractions. With my roudy group, the service here was very patient and friendly.

Nice and quiet hotel.

Good service, very clean, quiet place good for resting. Really close to Atocha station, great for travellers or commuters. Also good for visiting museums, but there are other hotels closer to them. Price is good if you find an offer, which makes it unbeaten comparing quality and price around the area. Standard price is quite high.

I was in this hotel for three nights, two nights of travel began when, one night, Gate 1 travel, masses, end of time. Hotel not in the city centre, but from the Atocha Station and the Reina Sofia Modern Art Museum to the hotel, walk less than 10 minutes, staff was very helpful, and very polite. Room size is good, buffet Breakfast very good, the whole hotel is covered by free Wi-Fi, but signal is sometimes not good, but network speed is very slow.

Though the area is a little dead, there is a conveniently placed supermarket the metro station is a short walk away. I started as part of a large group and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Average hotel, good location. personal do not speak french nor english nor german (only spanish in fact) At the restaurant I had to wait more the 30 min to only get the menu card and I had to claim for it several time… tapas were good. Room a bit of fashioned but clean. Wifi free but not working sometime (2 evenings out of 5).

The treatment by staff was very bad. Poor hygiene and very bad service.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Madrid, opposite the AVE Atocha station.
Perfect for visiting the museums of the city of Madrid: the Prado, the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen Bornemiza are barely 3 minutes walking.
The subway station is at the foot of the hotel.
The rooms are elegant, the small lunch very friendly and Nice.

Hotel the most normalito. We must try to find discount so compensate. Very close to Atocha. Practical. Very eighties.

Located next to the Paradise nightclub and the Atocha station.
It has parking and garage.
The Café opens at 10, 30 pm and breakfast great.
There are phones to call, but very dark lifts.
Extraordinary staff.

The hotel advertisers as 4 stars. When in fact it is a more like 2 or if you're very generous 3 stars. The rooms are small. It advertisers they have balcony when this is incorrect. The location is no where. You must walk or get a taxi to everywhere. If you're room faces the main street the noise level is audible. Worse of all they charge 6 euros a day for internet access. Never again.

The service of this hotel is excellent and there is a large price list, I've gone twice to this hotel and I have always welcomed with good face and sympathy, also the area which is located is ideal for sightseeing and has a disco in the plant low of sauce that usually has good atmosphere in the evenings.

I was only sleeping. An ordinary hotel. It is not known. In my opinion the price could be even tighter.

Do not ever stay here. This hotel had great reviews for location — LIE — the location isn't that great. It's slightly spooky. Everything is a walk, and there is nowhere to eat nearby. You'll read on a lot of websites how every room has a balcony — LIE. Every room does not have a balcony. You'll read the rooms are nice and clean — LIE. The rooms are small and smelly, if you leave the covers of the drain even slightly off your room will smell like feces. There are no double beds. The rooms are the size of a box. The TV barely works. Also you can hear your neighbors in the bathroom, you'll hear EVERYTHING they do in the bathroom. You'll read the staff is friendly — LIE. The staff is rude, and there will be times that there is nobody on staff who can speak enligh. You'll read there is internet — LIE. The internet is not free, doesn't work, and you will get charged for it anyways. TRUTH: do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Horrible service! There was literally only ONE staff member that was tolerable to speak to the ENTIRE stay. They were rude from the moment we walked in. We were just looking forward to getting up to our room and relaxing when we got here. Imagine our surprise when we realized our room was the size of a box and manuvering around it was going to become an olympic sport for the next couple of days. The next morning we were awoken by the sounds of the man in the room next to ours doing his business in the bathroom. We hurried to get ready and leave, when returning back in the afternoon to relax we saw that our room smelled like feces. It turns out that this hotel is so old that if you don't leave the plugs over the drains properly it will stink up your ENTIRE ROOM! I wouldn't recommend staying here to ANYBODY — this is NOT a four star and you're better off staying at the Ayre Gran Colon or any of the hotels associated with them in Madrid. Otherwise stick to the american chains, both the Hilton and the Westin are great too.

The hotel is very well placed and very nice. But it does not fullfill from my points of view the requirement of a 4 hotel. It is more a good 2.5 star hotel.
