Hotel Mediodia is a great centrally located hotel near the museums. The employees are fantastic except for David, who was extremely rude and condescending. Management needs to have a talk with him about what comes out of his mouth or give him a job not working with customers.

I feel like home here! For last ten years I am staying in this hotel… very clean… excellent location and excellent staff! Love it all!

Rooms are small, clean, and comfortable. A/C system is to American standards. TV is small but truly, who comes to Madrid to watch TV. Super friendly staff. Great dinners around the area. Try the ones right behind the hotel.

I visited Madrid the last week in December of 2018. The Hotel Mediodia was the perfect place to start my 60th birthday with a celebration trip. The location is excellent close to everything, metro station, shops, restaurant, Museums (the photo is the view from my room looking to the Museo de la Reyna courtyard. We took a bus outside the hotel for a day trip to Toledo. The Atocha train station is right across the street from the hotel where we took the train to Barcelona. The hotel Mediodia is 30 minutes from the airport, the room and the facilities are clean, safe and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The best vacation ever! I highly recommend the Hotel Mediodia for your next visit to Madrid, I know I will definitely stay there again.

Clean, tidy, spacious, with a big bathroom. Also perfectly located near metro, cercanías train, and renfe (AVE-speed) train (literally steps away). You can walk to all the museums, including Reina Sofia right next door, and you can take the metro a few stops up to Sol to see plaza mayor and San Miguel Market. Oh and we walked to Huertas district for the best food and nightlife (10 min walk). The staff is very welcoming. Has a pharmacy and few bars on the same block. Lots of locals seemed to like the one bar probably because it was super cheap. I recommend.

Great hotel for the price. Hotel is located so close to many sites as well as the big train station to get you to other Spanish cities. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff speaks English. Also late night food places just around the corner.

I celebrated my wedding in Madrid and our families and friends stayed there. It is a hotel with basic rooms but the bride and groom were given some q have bigger superbonds. The location is perfect and the service at reception unbeatable, they are nice guys.

Rooms are spacious and tidy, bathroom space is large, counter service is good, cleaning staff cleaning carefully, near the hotel transportation is convenient, there are bus stops, subways, trains, nearby living functions are also very good, recommended for passengers to stay.

Very good and in the heart of Madrid to a pazo of everything. I really like this hotel, great and comfortable rooms, without missing detail to me is the hotel where I will go whenever I go to Madrid.

La stanza era normale, non particolarmente curata ma accogliente. Il bagno spazioso e dotato anche di bidet (! ). Complessivamente un piacevolissimo soggiorno.

Right. To spend a night or two is fine. Clean and well located as it is in front of Atocha station, next to the Princesa Sofia Museum, near the Retiro and other interesting sites.

The location is very good right next to the Atocha station, all we wanted to visit was on hand to go on foot, the rooms very clean and comfortable, the buffet very good although could have something more variety and the staff very nice.

The hotel is centrally located. Close to museums, City Center and Central station. Great service and quiet.

A narrow window facing the courtyard-well, the lack of sound proof — full audibility of what is happening in the adjacent rooms and corridor. Constantly visiting the tour. Groups of teenagers in the evening and at night do not allow normal sleep. Breakfast is a standard breakfast.

Right in front of Atocha. Very useful for trips. Affordable price. Comfortable beds and refurbished rooms on some floors, especially the inferior ones. Good views if you get an outside room with a terrace. Yes, in summer it's very hot in this hotel!

I came to Madrid to the Metallica show, and I spent the night at this hotel, as usual. Nothing to complain about. They do a good work, as they always do.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very good, the location was excellent, the rooms were very clean and the rooms were very quiet.
The only downside is that there are always groups of teenagers staying on study trip and if you touch room on the same floor there is no way to rest or sleep due to noise and voices.

The standard room was extra small. Cleaning staff were not aware of safety practices and would mop an area and leave the excess standing water without any posted warnings, signs or cones. As a result of trying to navigate the flooded areas I slipped and fell and was injured. When reported to proper staff they simply were not concerned and said if I didn't like it there I should go somewhere else.

I had a rather new room with good views. The rest of the hotel is a bit old.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was very bad. Feeling watched and treated like a rose for no reason. Also the TV did not work and after notifying the reception of the incident, and tell me they would check, did not fix or told me anything. So I have stayed the two nights without TV, in a single room too small and old.
I don't recommend it.

Large room, marriage and two children and there was plenty of room. Breakfast expensive but next door there is an establishment specializing in Donus with affordable natural juice, right behind a cheap broken glasses till midnight.

Smallish room but clean and modern. Clean bed sheets. Only stayed one night at a rate lower than stated here. Take a chance and just drop in. Very conveniently close to the train station. Didn't have time for the breakfast so can't rate that. Overall a pretty good experience at a very acceptable rate. Would definitely recommend!

The perfect accommodation in the centre of Madrid. It is a 2 * hotel but its value for money is excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. In addition, they are reforming the rooms, giving them a renewed air.
The hotel is directly opposite Atocha (main train station), and has the Prado Museum and the Retiro Park to 5min on foot. Right behind the hotel is the Reina Sofía Museum.
Its price is the lowest of the entire downtown area.

The location near Atocha station and the Reina Sofia museum is perfect. Lots of great cafes and sights nearby. The hotel itself was well-maintained and staff were courteous, our only complaint was that the walls were thin and our neighbors noisy.

Location was great! It was right across the street from the atocha train station. The hotel was clean and seemed really fancy. It was enough to the royal palace and san miguel market that I could walk, but I am fine with walking about 5 miles round trip. The cafes near medioda were nice and affordable, but be careful in what you buy at the el brillante. The AC was not the best. Overall the hotel medioda was nice.

Perfect location in view of Atoch, Railway station. Which is the main reason I booked it as I arrived by train and would be leaving by train as well. But what a great surprise. It's also next to the famous El Brillante, (try their Bocadillos). & not that far from the first stops for the tour buses. The room had everything you needed. Comfy bed, Aircon, Fridge, TV, (Spanish channels only), and a safe in the room, as well as a very nice En suite shower room and toilet, also with a bidet. The room also had a little balcony with great views. I arrived too early to check in to the lovely airconed reception, but they happily took my bag so I could have a wander around. If I'm ever in Madrid again, I'll probably stay there again.

Very clean and very central. Great autonomy of transport you are near of most popular places. And just few minutes from the great Art-triangle Sofia Prado and Villanueva.

I was in the Mediodia Hotel because I had to go to Madrid to work. The Hotel is nice, a little bit oldfashioned (in spanish I would say "castizo"), but very comfortable and in a perfect place in the city (in front of Atocha, the train station).

The rooms comfortable, with good bedding, a spacious bathroom, with daily change of towels wide. Beautiful living room of rest and very good breakfast. Optional. To highlight the education, respect and friendliness of all the staff. Super recommended, to enjoy a good stay in the beautiful Madrid.

Excellent solution, cheap prices, a bit dated and single with microscopic bath but excellent location 1, 5 km from Sol with Metro and station at two steps and view of the Reina Sofia.

Very good service and there was free breakfast so that was cool. Too many stairs though.

According to this I visited this hotel, juasjuajuas. The continental breakfast with franco-prusianas partridges was death.

Wonderful hotel without additives and the pure Centre of Madrid, no frills and with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Refrigerator, huge bathroom, air conditioning, heating, terrace, safe, large wardrobe, adaptation handicap… In order that the relationship quality price is ten.

Está em frente a estação de trem Puerta de Atocha, ao lado da Calle de Atocha, uma das principais ruas de acesso a museus, à Gran Vía, está ao lado da estação de metrô, enfim. Peguei ônibus algumas vezes, porque em geral pode-se fazer tudo a pé desde o hotel. Tecimento muito o hotel Mediodía!

Location very good, next to Atocha. Breakfast ordinary, nothing special. There can be a little noise, either from the street or from other guests, it's not very soundproof. Service is very good and polite.

The location is optimal for navigating tourists unfamiliar with Madrid, as it sits on the intersection of a few of the city's major roads. The service was pleasant, present, and reliable. I hope your bed was as comfortable as mine.

It is a centrally located hotel and taking into account the price of accommodation and three stars is not bad. 60-70 € per night is fine.
Although I would not include the breakfast is very poor. It is better to take something in coffee shops that there is next to the hotel.
They also have parking.

Get tired at 10 in the night and directly pay 90 euros, in mid-September. When I went to the room! Nor a hostel crappy has it worse! Call to reception and presented my complaints, that money for nothing will fit that hole. I was given another much better than either does justice to the price but the fatigue I let myself struggle more. My rating is bad because they charged me 25€ more for the simple fact of not having reserves, a policy that I don't understand and are confident that verges on illegality. In my life I'm going to stay in that hole for that price!

Room crappy old, not even reach hostel, in comparison to the one that we gave to our friends (perhaps because they were the ones who made the reservation, comparisons are odious, but in this case, in addition to demonstrable, seemed to be two different hotels, but we paid the same price.

The rooms don't seem like much. More like a Motel 6 in style, but without a doubt they had the most comfortable beds of all my ten night stay in Spain. Great location and a great price. Also the only hotel I didn't need to keep my key inserted to get electricity.

Great location, bang opposite Atocha Railway station. Rooms comfortable. Take a room in the higher floors with balcony overlooking Atocha Railway station. Most happening place in Madrid. Plenty of eateries around including Indian restaurants in Lavapies area walking distance from Mediodia.

I have been always very well in this hotel facility, where I always stay when I have to go to Madrid, which I've been doing for many years. Price balanced and very good attention from the staff. The proximity of Atocha station to me fundamental.

Clean, with a striking and imposing appearance, friendliness of its services, rooms comfortable and spacious beds, bathrooms clean and groomed, the only downside is that they do not put gel or shampoo to wash you. Downtown, Atocha in front to be able to move smoothly to take train or metro. Also close to the Museum of the Prado, retiro and Botanical Garden.

Breakfast second to none. Reception staff very friendly and overall the hotel is great. It has 3 stars, but it should have many more. The rooms have bath, television and safe. They are bright and do not have any default, according to my criteria, this site is the best hotel to not spend much that abound in the area. The rest is the around Central magnificent of 100 euros or more and this is not bad price. A room per night, are 52 euros and he will not miss you at all. Air conditioning, bathroom very clean, and very complete TV resigned and Wi-Fi zone.

I've been travel with the University to this hotel and it is fantastic! It is true that if to make noise in the room you made the front as usual, but if that offer other private entertainment room so you have fun you there with your friends where you can drink, smoke and other things more. Despite everything, I think that families is also for very well to be in the Atocha station and 2 minutes from the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofia.

My husband and I only stayed one night (arrived by train late at night, had a flight the next morning), but we were pleased overall. It is extremely convenient to the Atocha train station, and the staff was friendly and helped us figure out how to find the bus to the airport. The room was big, modern, had air-conditioning, fluffy pillows, and a sparklingly-clean bathroom. The one negative was that the person who designed the shower curtain must have never taken a physics class in his/her life! It was light and flimsy enough to blow in and stick to you while you try to shower if you put in inside the tub and to blow away and soak the whole bathroom when outside the tub. Normally we stay in a pension or hostal, something in between a youth hostel and a fancy hotel, but I would recommend it for those wanting a location near the train station and who want a room with modern conveniences for 75 euros per night.
