At the beginning of March I visited this hotel and the truth is that we were quite satisfied. The setting is beautiful and the hotel itself is nice and welcoming. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable even though the room itself was not as big as I thought. The bathroom was equally clean but the shower screen does not manage to prevent the water from coming out (minor problem). As for the spa's thermal circuit, to access the spa we were told that we could go directly with the hotel's swimsuit, flip flops and towels. However, we had a room on the ground floor and it is necessary to pass in front of the reception and the door of the hotel, so you feel with little intimacy (although you can choose to go dressed and change in the changing rooms that then we discovered that there is in the s pa). We were the first to enter in the afternoon and as the receptionist told us someone would be waiting for us to explain how the circuit works. We were waiting just over 5 minutes past the time of the reservation and no one came, so we went in on our own. Inside not all the elements worked (one of the thermal contrast showers was damaged) but the ones that did were fine, correct. From 5:30 a. M. The spa was too crowded to continue enjoying it due to its small dimensions. In addition, people stay in the pool and do not use the Turkish bath, Roman bath, sauna, etc. So the pool ends up saturated. In the middle of the afternoon we tried to order something in the hotel café but despite warning with the bell, no one came quickly to serve us, so we went to the village. On the other hand, the dinner in the hotel's own restaurant was delicious and we were taken care of as soon as we arrived. The service was friendly and we were not made to wait to get the food out, which was very tasty. The only downside was that with the second, on two occasions they wanted to take the dishes off the table before we were done (we were chatting while). The next day the breakfast was very good and they had quite a variety of both sweet and savory. We arrived at 9:30, the scrambled eggs were gone and they said they weren't going to take out any more, when breakfast really didn't end until 11. It seemed too early to stop taking out the hot food. Overall and for the price we paid, the site I liked very much. Despite being on the ground floor, the room was quiet. I think the lack of staff issues would be due to the low season in March and the hotel even only opens on weekends. This area of Cantabria is beautiful and the place is good for a treat.
