A spectacular hotel! in the middle of a wonderful place preserved in time. Thank to all your team of workers with good attendance from the first to the last day of our stay there. Amazing Hotel, it seems from another era. The Attic room, decorated with excellent taste. The huge bathroom, it didn't lack any detail. The cosy, quiet rooms, ideal to read a while or to be of a gathering. Beautiful gardens, manicured. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It's been four fantastic days, we celebrated 25 years of marriage, in a beautiful place that we will return without hesitation.

A very nice hotel house of a Marquis of Santillana del Mar The attention of the employees very happy when I can return.

Spent a night here while biking the Camino del Norte. This property is in the centre of the lovingly-preserved town, and is a perfect spot to stop for the night. The hosts graciously accommodated by bicycle, and I enjoyed a restful night.

Good price/quality ratio. The rooms are not the best, but the well maintained historic building contributes to a good experience.

Beautiful 5 star hotel located in the center of Santillana del Mar, strong construction, perhaps a little expensive, but beautiful inside, have a small parking for few cars.

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of the small town of Santillana del Mar. Antonio (a factotum if ever there was one) looks after your daily needs from serving breakfast to sorting your safe when it goes wrong to carrying your cases to your room and always with a big smile. The rooms are not overly big but sufficient, the reception is friendly and the breakfasts filling. You can park in their secure car park at the back for €11 per night (handy if your next stop is Santander 30mins away and you have bought lots on your holiday). This type of hotel is not for everyone with all the wonky floorboards and unusual layout but for those who are fed up with corporate hotels, this is a breath of fresh air.

For those who saw this famous film with Yves Montand, Alice Sapritch and Louis de Funès, it seems to be found in the scenery.
An unforgettable stay, a staff with small care, attentive and very considerate.
The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean, the breakfast plentiful and delicious. Although the soundproofing of the rooms deserves some amenities, the parquet floors creak, the walls could be thicker… but this must not change the charm of this box in the heart of the village or you turn away from this address. As far as I am concerned, I will come back with great pleasure.

Lovely and cozy site, ideal for a couple weekend. Tastefully decorated rooms in a classic style. Breakfast buffet is a little bit scarce but you will be prepared something different if you want. Gin and tonic with a wide variety of gin. Private Parking.

It is a lovely place, with some divine outdoor patios… especially at Christmas…, the service is good and very friendly.

Excellent location, excellent service, correct and super friendly waiters; at reception, the same, you will breathe a tranquility that is divine with the crust of the hustle and bustle of the street, all very carefully… we'll be back for sure.

In a lovely C15th building that has been very sensitively decorated to enhance the historic feel is this small hotel with friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Ask for a room at the rear overlooking the back garden as the front rooms are affected by street noise and the floors squeak very loudly, disturbing you if your partner gets up during the night. The beds are a tad hard but they have a pillow menu so you should be able to achieve the feel you prefer. Breakfasts are good, served by a very charming waiter, but the space is a little crowded and the antique chairs might look good but are uncomfortable. There's a coffee machine in the room and bowls of oranges in the hallways so you can help yourself. Not sure it quite deserves its 5 star rating but then, you're not paying 5 star prices.

This hotel has wow factor and is right in the middle of this magical town. We were in room 104 which has a balcony which made our 3 night stay even more special. Highly recommended.

Oh my, this Hotel is just a dream from the moment we parked the car and walked inside. So peaceful, so rich, so simply decadent, it just wraps you up and makes you feel happy — we loved it. The staff were just lovely and so helpful, giving us recommendations for restaurants (the hotel doesn't have one for dinner) that are all within minutes walk from the Hotel door. The village is charming, a little touristy, but worth a visit. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return. Thankyou to all of the lovely staff that made our stay soooooo special.

5 stars? The building is surely historical, but the hotel is far from being a true 5 star structure. The bathroom, the lift and the "modern" parts date back to the 80s and surely do not give the feeling of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast also, more in line with an average 3 star hotel.

Convinient and pretty hotel.

Very cool rooms with loads of history. Many rooms have balconies overlooking a peaceful garden. Skip the breakfast though…

Location insuperabile, nel cuore del bellissimo borgo storico di Santillana. Accoglienza ottima. Camera dal fascino antico ma dotata di tutti I comfort moderni. Raccomandato.

The hotel is 5 star but service is not at the height. The facilities are very nice, the place is charming, but the staff is very friendly and little helpful. An exception to highlight is in charge of receiving the baggage, which made his work with great care and the best of tempers or the buttons.
There is much to improve to provide a service that is at the height of a stately mansion like this.

Bed bugs in the bed… hydro bath with mushrooms…, I have bites and infection by using the hot tub and sleeping in the bed in room 101 of the Hotel La Casa Marquis. I've been a week sick, to spend two nights at "La Casa Marques" of 5-star Hotel. When I left the Hotel La Casa Marquis, we inform you and teach them the photos and videos at the reception… already knew what had happened, told me that director responsible for was not present at the Hotel. I put this review, one week after my departure from the hotel, without any communication by part of the address, or anyone else by the hotel. It may have scabies, according to my doctor, because of your bed with bed bugs and bites all over his body, have been dedicating a whole week and according to my medical treatment is for two weeks… without sleep these days by intolerable itching. And today at 14:20 tells me my doctor that the crop that I caught last Sunday, in the emergency room of the Virgin of road from Pamplona, the result comes out I have an infection by fungi of the bath and sent me more medication. I have photos and videos of the bugs in the savannas and the State of taps of the whirlpool, full of dirt and rust. I am passing it fatal… and do not want to happen to any other similar client.

Good food, good service and a reasonable price, if I return by Santillana repeat.
