Very good hotel in a very well connected area of Bilbao. The service is exceptional, and the only drawback is that the hotel is located in an area of difficult parking, therefore you have to pay the daily parking fee almost certainly. The staff is very attentive and nice, and they are always at the customer's disposal. I'd come back again.

Horrible place, not for families or people expecting a warm welcome. Their hotel reservation system is faulty, I reserved a room for 4 persons (2 adults + 2 small children). The room stated max 2 adults. At arrival they said that we needed an extra room because it was 2 persons only. When it was clear by checking the website that the fault was at the end they still did not accept their mistake nor offered any solution except to cancel the reservation or pay €170 extra (€340 total). Whilst I was discussing with reception it seems my wife was scammed by someone in the reception area. When we asked about this they said that they left them inside because of mental issues. Quite bad experience in otherwise a wonderful visit to Bilbao. We continued our journey and I found a nicer hotel with swimming pool outside BIlbao for the initial price.

Perfect location. Renovated rooms. Cold reception staff. Never book the single room. Smallest rooms you can imagine in a 4 stars property. On the other hand, double for single use is nice.

I normally do not write so much about ratings but just in case there are people reading it I must warn you no to go to this hotel for a couple of reasons: 1. Too noisy. You can hear everything. You can he had next door toilets, all floor doors opening and closing and all cleaners conversations (so they hear you too). 2.4 stars that are more 3 stars. Furniture, reception, breakfast, bathroom, even the bed should be more comfy. 3. Price. Ok it’s in a good location but in our case it didn’t matter as we went for a wedding. Surprisingly even by giving the code (discount) the price got doubled. And they do not include the VAT so be careful. 4. Location. Precisely for being in a good location, you will hear lots of noise coming from the bars nearby, which are opened til late night. 5. Poor interior design. Honestly, Bilbao deserves a much better decoration. For the same amount of money you can surely find a better place to stay. Hope this helps people before they book, as it happened to us. 6. Poor preservation of premises. It looked like it had been a leak in the bathroom as there were signs on the floor, the walls and the door, which didn’t close/open properly. Enjoy Bilbao!

I have often stayed at Los Agustinos in Haro another hotel in the Aaranzazu Group and had high expectations of the Abando Hotel, which were well justified. The hotel is excellent ideally situated in the centre of the city with, most importantly, its own car park next door. Rooms are modern & well equipped, service & staff excellent. We will return.

I felt like I was at home.
It was very close to the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
As for the rooms, I emphasize the comfort of the beds as well as the available space.
About the breakfast say that stands out for its variety and, above all, its quality: I have not taken a scrambled eggs… with real eggs.
Furthermore the hotel is very well located and allows you to walk to many of the recommended sites in the city.

I went to a professional event in the basement room. The hotel in general good presence, but the means of the room (chairs and tables), and the distribution of it (poles or pillars) upgradable. Good location.

Great location and clean rooms. Breakfast is passable, no water or coffee in lobby. Room can be stuffy as fan only runs with heat on and if you don't need heat you don't get air. Open the window and enjoy the street noises. Tv and internet coverage is blah. Plan on reading.

Hotel convenient for location close to public transport to Al Casco Viejo. Large and clean room. The only drawback is the absence of bidet and toilet brush Although the huge bathroom could contain them. Big shower. Nice and helpful Staff.

Very nice Hotel, close to the old part of Bilbao, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast buffet. My only drawback is that part of the day and night you hear a continuous noise as if it were the engine of the air conditioner quite annoying.

Decent 4* hotel. Nothing spectacular but friendly staff!

Good location, that's about all. Reception staff is not welcoming, we have paid for a double room and ended up in a single room. When we asked for explanations, the receptionist told us he has nothing else. We have eventually been moved to a double bedroom on day 2. At not stage that receptionist shown us we were welcome, no smile, very aggressive and unprofessional. So I will never go back there or recommend for sure. By the way, that's called 4*, but it s more like a 2/3* with tiny room, holiday inn style.

The rooms are large and clean, the bathroom provides hygiene kits that are always to be appreciated. The Wi-Fi has good speed. The receptionist is not very communicative, has no bar or restaurant for dinner, but there is the advantage that has a pedestrian street with all sorts of very good bar/restaurants. I don't understand that he breakfast costs €30 extra, that's not acceptable. Otherwise highly recommended.

Very nice place, free Wi-Fi in the whole hotel, the attendance follows up the Basque game of being sweet, even though it was the Basque country if you spoke to them in "Spanish" they would answer back in "Spanish" too. Overall very nice place, very nice store and very nice food.

A central and well located hotel.

Many years ago we stayed in this hotel when we come to Bilbao, this very central and its services are well. And with the reform they're doing this better.

The hotel is quiet simple but the comfort is there. It's also really well placed, so can start your visit in Bilbao without taking a bus or the metro.

Central and Cosy. Its hall is quiet and spacious. Ideal for a business-friendly coffee.

Nice hotel with great location close to the train station. About a 6 min walk which was great since we had a 630am train headed out. Lots of stores nearby and easy to walk around. Museum and other points of interest just aren't that far. Great location. Rooms are pretty good as well. Spacious, with a desk etc. Maybe bathrooms could be a bit better? I would stay here again.

Stayed here for a night mid-July. The room was not bad overall. Spacious & the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff however — some of the worst hospitality we've seen during our month in Spain. One of the most dull check-in & check-out procedures we've ever experienced. I'd rather go elsewhere than made to be felt this uncomfortable.

Central place, spacious rooms. Only neo rooms with thin walls, you could hear the neighbors when they dumped the toilet.

Nice location near the old-town and a short walk along the river to the Guggenheim museum. Room had all the necessary commodities including Wi-Fi and shampoo for the shower.

The hotel is well situated in Bilbao. It's close to the train station, several metro stations, the river, and the Guggenheim. There are bikes for rent as well. The lobby is comfortable and spacious. The room has a classic feel to it. There was a moderate amount of noise as you would expect from an urban hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the stay was overall pleasant.

The hotel is very welcoming, only flaw is the WI-FI service which is bad.
