Ibis Irun Hotel

I wanted to recommend the fabulous staff, we had a problem with our car when we tried to leave in the morning and the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful. She was fantastic, found us a garage that was open during a local ‘festival’. Informed us when a cancellation came in so we could stay here close to our car. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again!

Funky decor and great location for entry over the spanish border.

Great little hotel, not been here for a few years but still doesn’t disappoint. Very welcoming hotel.

Hotel a las afueras de Irún, en un polígono, a unos 10 minutos en coche del centro. Lo elegimos porque era el más competitivo en precio, ofrecía aparcamiento gratuito y el check out hasta las 12 de mediodía. Muy buen servicio, habitación de buen tamaño, cama cómoda, baño completo, limpieza general.

Nice staff, good equipment. Ideal for transit, as 24hours gives the opportunity to get something to eat in the in-house bistro. Nearby is a cheap gas station. There is also a supermarket and a café/restaurant. If the memory card in the bistro were the same as in the rooms and at least bilingual, the hotel would be perfect. At least this shortcoming compensated for the friendly service and translated the map into English. Perfect service.

I've been staying at this hotel for years on our yearly trip back home from Spain. The current status is now officially "RUNDOWN'. They gave us a room with a shower that not only leaked onto the entire bathroom floor, but even into the bedroom. When getting into bed I noticed the water seeping up through the floorboards. Just in case you want to wash your feet before getting into bed? How thoughtful. I notified reception and said all I needed was a mop. It was late and I wanted to get dinner and go to sleep early. In my opinion though, the professional thing for the hotel would've been to offer a discount. Will not visit again.

The hotel has a nice looking lobby. Unfortunately not all rooms are refurbished, only the rooms on the second floor are refurbished. The room we were given was old looking with a leaking airconditioning. Parking is free but limited. When checking in you are asked to write down your cars license plate as often the parking lot is completely full. We decided to leave and move to the B&B Hotel Donostia Aeropuerto. In our opinion the B&B hotel is better as the rooms there are more modern and for example 24 hours free Coffee / tea is offered at the B&B hotel.

Well located (to get to the drive) at the entrance of Irun. Parking is small and at night there is no room. The staff is attentive and the room of the Ibis type. Expensive for what it offers, cheap for the area. The towel on the shower floor gets wet and you won't be able to use it.

Very pleasant stay and without flight re in this hotel where the staff are very friendly.
The rooms are rather comfortable and above all very clean. The cleaning staff is flexible on schedules.
Only downside. The restaurant deserves a 1 alas.

Great hotel. From the cheapest in the area, the quality it offers is superior. Brand new rooms, all very clean and the attention of the staff is exquisite. I had already gone to other Ibisand and they left me well tasted in the mouth. Free parking is available on site. For putting a but, it's a little far from the center, you have to go to the car or public transport.

Adapted Room:
Very good adaptation, although it has shower tray at floor level. Very comfortable bed, quiet place, but parking sometimes fair of squares.
Very very good buffet, pancakes, pancakes, fruits, sausages, different breads and pastries, vitamin water, cereals…

Very nice hotel. Clean well placed a little outside the city center very well.

Is this an Ibis? Very poor service from the front desk. Inadequate breakfast. Be careful!

Habitaciones espaciosas, con escritorio y pequeño armario. Limpieza muy buena, aseo espacioso, con ducha, no bañera. Tiene secador. El restaurante está bien, la comida es muy buena y el trato excelente. Con Wi-Fi, no muy buena, pero algo es algo.

No air conditioning at the end of May. Too bad it was way too hot in the room despite the price quite high.

This is a great location and second best option if you cannot find accommodations in San Sebastian. There is a bus stop just a few minutes from the hotel that will take you to San Sebastian. Only a twenty minute walk to Irun town where you can take the train or bus to Hendaye. There is a very nice Lidl around the corner. The staff is amazing! The bar is great and the tuna salad was great! Most of the staff speak English, but be patient as they get very busy.

We stayed one night step with family and this is a particularly nice hotel. The rooms are a little small but comfortable and quiet.
The staff are very welcoming and small care for their guests.
A special mention for the very varied breakfast: carved fruit, vitamin water, varied cereals, quality deli meats.
All in all, a very good hotel that I recommend its proximity to the Autoute and the airport.

Simple and modern Hotel, where to stay on the outskirts of the locality, being quiet the location.
It offers a free collective parking service, which is full the Hotel is full, but it manage…
Breakfast time is until 12h.

It is a not very large hotel but it is very good value for money, the only "but" is a reception person who did not bother much for the guests (rather passed from us) or at least according to my point of view, I want to Achacarlo that the hotel was full and Better they were a little overwhelmed. Otherwise everything's fine.

Arrived on February 26, 2018, hotel in works. At 18:00 we have the percussion drills that work on the floor above our room. At 18:15 the receptionist tells us that the work should stop at 7:30 pm. 7:00 pm always the same problem… we prefer to leave. No disrespect from the shameful client.

A family trip with a child. The rooms are perfect. A spectacular deal. We went with breakfast included and tremendous breakfast. All the staff very friendly. In my case I give them a 5. Thanks a lot.

Interesting when you have a long road to spend a quiet night on the French-Spanish border correct rates breakfast and evening meal nothing to complain about.

Located in an artisanal area on the airport road and easy to reach from the Autopista del Cantábrico.
Comfortable and clean room.
The most is the catering service in the same building. The parking lot is very secure. The reception is cordial.
A good evening step on the way to Spain.

Good stay, location bit weird…

It's an Ibis hotel we always use it from Hotel Puente on our trip to France.
This place has a special feature you can eat after 21 hours which is a rare thing in that area so close to France as they carry the schedules of the rest of Europe.
The attention was good.
I always use it I have become accustomed to be able to arrive and to dine.

Lovely Hotel, a good comfortable nights sleep, well located and just off the motorway. Shame about the breakfast, gave the benefit of the doubt the first time but when you get fed rubbish at a cost twice running — you know it was a mistake to part with your money!

I was only here one night for work in the area. It is quiet and the room better than I imagined, though without excesses. Functional. Breakfast is scarce compared to other restaurants in the area, but it's also not that it was bad. The parking is free for the guests but scarce so we better get there soon.

I spent one night there. The family room remains small for 4 persons (2 children under 3 years of age). Room a little old but clean, on the other hand it is very expensive €120 at night without breakfast. Do not make the effort to speak French or English.

Staff are very friendly and smiling and listening to the customer. Clean room with everything you need. Restaurants excellent breakfast very hearty with the sweet and the salty. Habitación muy correcta, no comimos allí porque el desayuno nos pareció algo caro por lo que ofrecian. El parking se llena por la noche y tuvimos que dejar el coche de cualquier modo en el mismo parking.

Room ok clean. Breakfast basic was ok slept showered ate and refilled with diesel on exit all in all handy and not to expensive.

You want to pay €120 and sleep 2 h at night because of the noise of neighbors who speak and howl up to No hour? So book in this hotel! And then the sheets that smell of chemicals it's awful, awful I swear! And above all do not book by phone because they do not understand anything and were mistaken in my bank card number & threatened me to cancel my booking 1 h before I arrive when it is their fault to them! I'm dreaming! Only positive the kindness and friendliness of the lady who received her at the reception she is adorable!

I am currently at 120 euros at night without breakfast I feel that the room could be a clean minimum
Hair in the shower dust and piece of I do not what under the bed sheets stain finally the room leaves really to desire!

For starters, the parking is CCTV monitored and locked up with a gate, no need to worry about your car that is great. Lobby looks updated. Meals reasonably priced. Rooms pretty outdated tbh…

I had a room on the first floor and it was quite roomy. It had a queen size bed plus a twin bed off to the side. There was no minibar or hot water heater. There was a hairdryer. I could have used more power plugs. There was only 2 in the room. The room was clean and overall I would stay again as it is quite close to the airport.

Perfect for my overnight stay. I aways choose Ibis if I can. Always good value. Irun didn't disappoint. Lovely, comfortable beds. I was tired after long journey, so good nicoise salad was just petfect (formula including piece if fruit and drink only 6.95€) Brlliant help yourself choice at breakfast, including warm bagette and fresh tomato for tostada, good tea and coffee. Staff really helpful.

I found nice my stay here with my family. A good surprise for the price and type of hotel. Small things that should be repaired as also the cleaning should be reviewed by the mangers since there are some points to improve. People friendly at the reception and restaurant.

What I expected from the hotel, small but comfortable room, very clean, very comfortable bed, very good service and very nice.

I have stayed here more than 20 times in 12 years and find friendly staff, good food and clean comfortable rooms awaiting me every time. Excellent location for onward journeys and can be very cheap too. Parking is free and fairly secure also. Highly recommended but don't forget that this part of spain can be difficult to navigate so look up where it is before you leave or use sat nav of course.

For the price I think this is an excellent hotel. A lot of Spanish hotels give clients a fit about extra towels, pillows. But this place just gives you what you need. Plus parking is free.

This was the worst hotel experience ever. After check-in, Room 206 at us was ceded. When we opened the door of the room, the smell of tobacco was unbearable. We asked for another room, and the answer was that it not available. In return, she offer breakfast the next morning. We had to sleep with window open, dealing with intense noise. We have denied responsibility of to the Manager, the next morning, arguing that the room in fact not tobacco smell spoken. He has even for me (I'm saying that I would have a problem) laughed and denied me to another room. We left the hotel, although we paid already for the next two days. No compensation or even excuse what so ever. Worst treatment I've received ever in a hotel. No more Ibis for me.
