We just spend 8 days here. We had a fab time, this is our 2nd time here and we love sunset beach, very relaxing enjoyable holiday. Friendly helpful staff — left a birthday card and a bottle of cava for my partner. The hotel always does it best to Accommodate any special requests. Kids activities was great fun by the pool all week, lots of fun with face painting pirate shows etc. Our son loved the lion King show in the evening time was brilliant. Can't complain about a thing, we love it here, pool and sea views are gorgeous 💕

Had the most amazing stay over Easter. Hotel staff couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely large clean room and beautiful public areas. Will defo return.

Just back from sunset beach my daughter got married there on the 28th of May everything was done to perfection could highly recommend it we had a fantastic time everything you need is there and the staff a brilliant will definitely be back.

The staff from reception to housekeeping to lobby bar are excellent! Oasis restaurant staff is lacking in customer service. Maybe because they are short staffed for supposedly slow season in February.

Stayed ere last week, extremely friendly and helpful staff, fantastic facilities. Very clean inside and outside. Good activities and entertainment in evenings. Rooms cleaned daily cannot fault anything well done to all.

This is our second visit, it won’t be our last! A bit quieter, but that was expected with the current situation, I can’t recommend the sunset beach any more highly!

Clean and spacious rooms & friendly staff. Not impressed after getting a suite to have to pay €12:50 per night parking & then for premium Wi-Fi an extra charge, that’s a little over the top.

Just back from a 5 night stay 2 adults 3 children. Brilliant hotel, friendly staff and so clean inside and out. Even staff walking round the pool area collecting rubbish throughout the day to keep the area tidy.
Beautiful sea view from the 3rd floor. Food in the Oasis restaurant was amazing and great value for money. Shop, doctors and restaurant on site you do not even need to leave but if you do it is situated right on the beach, shops and restaurants and short ride to the marina.

We had a brilliant holiday in the hotel this week, home since yesterday and miss it so much apartments are fantastic and the hotel has everything you need from restaurants to entertainment. So much activity games for kids to do. Great arcade down stairs for them also. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is quite noisy, impossible to have sunbeds during the day so many people, to the point that it is very difficult to reach the pool and once in the water it will be difficult to swim.
The bartenders are rather unpleasant and openly don't care about the customers.
Housewives, on the other hand, are very helpful.
The hotel is rather clean overall
Security personnel who think they are in prison should be hung up with smiles.
Apart from the end of the balcony that fell next to us it's pretty good notice they offered us a bottle of cava to apologize.
Teach your management teams to smile and put at least one person per bar who understands at least English if not French, this will be worthy of a 4 star.
In short we will not go back. And we won't be the only ones.

Stayed here mid August. Killings for sunbeds. Notices posted by management that beds cannot be reserved and towels will be removed. Yet towels are on beds all day with no one on them. You cannot sit on the balcony and have a conversation as the racket from the AC unit is so loud. The bar of an evening can get very noisy also. Other than that found it clean and staff were polite.

Fabulous hotel. Everything all under 1 roof. Food great. Service excellent. And great beach adjacent to hotel.

Coming to the end of a lovely 10 days. Great location, felt safe running on my own on the beach at sunrise. Incredibly clean and well maintained hotel. The staff all work really hard and without exception are courteous, friendly and go out of their way to ensure guests are well looked after. Celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary in style! We didn’t enter the sunbed Cold War at stupid o’clock because there really was no need to for us as we don’t mind where we sit as our s…on is older, generally came down between half eight and nine ish and always got a couple of beds. If you have young kids that need a base by the pool you will need to get up early though to bag a spot. A bit of a shame that a few people felt the need to reserve sun beds for their towels for hours on end and not actually sit on them but the hotel is not to blame for this. This is our second visit and should we decide to return to Benalmádena we would definitely stay here. (And if you like tapas book Lime and Lemon in advance — it’s awesome! )

Great access to local restaurants and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. 2 outdoor pools, pool bar and lunch served with outdoor dining. Great views and rooms with good utilities. Evening entertainment is frequent and great stuff on for kids and all free for guests.

We have been going yearly for more than 15 years now (I think) as a Family. We have a Time-share at the hotel for a week and it was always a very unique, fun and special experience. It is the one place I can see really improving on a yearly basis. Whether it was related to renovations, adding more facilities, especially kids entertainment facilities and games. Adding more services and improving the overall atmosphere at the Hotel. You do feel it's more like a resort. Almost everything is there for the whole family. We started going there when it was just the 4 of us; my father, mother, sister and myself. We kept adding more family members and upgrading our room accordingly. Now we go as 6 grown-ups and 2 kids! :) It feels like our summer home. And the best part that it never gets boring as we do get surprised on a yearly basis! I hope they keep it like that forever cause we plan to continue going there for who knows how long more :)

This was our first visit to Sunset Beach Club and it was absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel is in the quieter part of town, however the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from restaurants and bars. The views from our apartment were stunning, the beach was just a stone's throw away. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was really nice and cleaned every day. The hotel has a great pool area where you can spend the entire day. The hotel has everything, from a supermarket, restaurants, laundry room etc. We all had a great time in Benalmadena and the stay at Sunset Beach Club was one of the main reasons the holiday was so good.

Just home from 12 glorious days. The hotel is beautiful and so clean. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and the pool area was also kept so clean a definite plus with having 2 young children. We are in the oasis restaurant and also the Luna and the food was fabulous. My daughter loved the kids club and evening entertainment as the women and men that were doing it were so welcoming and caring to the kids. Recommended hotel and we will be back again. I recently stayed here with my two friends. We had a wonderful time. We found the hotel was very clean, the pool area was very well maintained and clean too, as were the pool toilets. The hotel is very central, within a 10 to 15 minutes walking distance to various restaurants and shops. We are really looking forward to our next visit.

Good for young families, great facilities but you need to ensure you get a sea view room otherwise the front of the hotel looks over the main coast road. Any room below level six at the front is below ground. Beaches are good as hotel pool area can get very crowded.

This is a combination of timeshare apartments, and a hotel (which is owned by an Irish insurance company). Staff are very hospitable, and the resort facilities are plentiful and well-maintained. The hotel offers wedding packages, which are extremely popular with Irish people, meaning that the place is usually very lively. The onsite restaurant is quite good, but some of the meals do not appear as English people might expect. The local restaurants tend to only open in high season, and it is quite a walk down into town (10-15 minutes).

I got married here in April. They went above and beyond for us … everything was perfect. All my 120 guests said how amazing it was. All ages taught the hotel was amazing x.

It has good views a good salon cafeteria but they spoil the Guiris Q come from bachelorette party screaming and Armando Loq do not do in your country. Besides TB very good views and service.

Very good hotel to stay, nice environment, spent a nice holiday, facilities very good, the gym is good for the sport, indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool, perfect location front of the beach, the was nice for breakfast, viewing from the room is amazing. Friendly workers, easy to check in and easy to check out, highly recommended and definitely, I’ll come back again!

Excellent service to walk to beach with many details care in summer the pool has to be great taxi stand right at the door very good quality and all very clean I have been very happy with the visit.

Had an excellent stay there. Very professional staff. Transport easily accessible right in front the hotel. Excellent sea front view from my room. Whenever I am in Malaga would visit there again.

A great place. My first place. The place of my heart! For ten days it was my house to find the floor where I live now. All clean… Always clean! All teams (all) very friendly and professional. I'm sure I recommend.

Stayed here a few times now, always clean. Happy hour in the bar, good food in restaurant and snacks at pool bar. Massage by the pool or in private room in the gym. Supermarket also located on ground floor and practically on the beach.

Brilliant hotel. Extremely well equipped self catering facilities (all the pots/pans/crockery/cutlery you could think of). Very well maintained and clean. Thank you to all the friendly staff for making our short break a memorable one.

I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times, and I’m pretty sure I’ll come back. It has everything I need on the grounds (restaurant, pool, ATM machine, and súper market) and its location makes it easy to explore surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

Very good. It has a sea view. The rooms are equipped and have Wi-Fi. The Pitelas are spacious and the rooms are very good.

Fantastic holiday venue. Excellent facilities, great staff. Highly recommended and There is a range of price packages to choose from self catering to all inclusive. Can't go wrong. From what I see most folk can't wait to return. I know I am itching to get back.

Great Apartment Hotel, nice facility with 2 pools, restaurant, wellness area… Very nice people.

Very good service. A very complete hotel and a very pleasant stay. Furniture a little outdated but good housekeeping both in the bathroom as in the rest of room. The only downside some rooms have no view and there is a little annoying noise on the outside. Good price.

A spectacular hotel.
The reception is fast and very comfortable, the hotel is new and modern, the pool is in very good condition I have been here several times and I have always attended great cheap and all the services like: Supermarket, gym, daycare, restaurant, cafeteria inside and outside in the Swimming pool, hairdresser, disco.
And the rooms are very good quality.

Great Hotel for a family holiday. Brilliant sea views from about the 3rd floor upwards. Fab outdoor pools and plenty of space around them, even in high season. Kept very clean all the time. Had a few beautiful holidays there and the staff are brilliant as well. Couldn't find any faults with this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Great walk to the beach with all kinds of services and a fantastic place I recommend not miss the beautiful sunrise of Benalmadena Costa from the hotel sure you repetís with gym supermarket and much more.

A good hotel like many in Spain, does not have a parking place for which you account for 20 euros per day.

It is a family hotel clearly focused on the foreign public. Highlights its large outdoor pool area and restaurant bar, but also its cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. What would be better is the noise of air conditioning units and air extractors in the WC, which are heard too much to enjoy a comfort of sleep people who have the fine ear.

Overall a nice hotel, there was a mix up with rooms when we arrived but that was sorted out quickly and efficiently. The food is nice and the pool area has plenty of beds and is always kept clean. I would recommend as a good family oriented hotel.

Fabulous hotel on the beach. Lovely and clean. Unfortunately our room was on ground level next to servicing. It was noisy with the emptying of bottle banks, bins etc. Tbe view was of the car park barrier. Tbere was no sun at all on the balcony. Apartments next to us were probably worse, facing a wall. Be very careful when booking and ask which room you are getting. Ours was 150

Yes but when we ask Sea view nada Nothing we have to change by three times room without getting satisfaction! … they give us on the Boulvard or in brief RC they do not understand that we like Quebequois we want the sun all day.

Right on the beach! Even our street view was beautiful, especially after dark. Two outdoor pools were inviting, although the indoor pool was out of commission during our stay. Loved that we could cook for ourselves or dine in the hotel, as well as sample the many restaurants nearby. Tours, arranged through the hotel could be boarded right across the street, and the local buses stop just down the street.

Family friendly, entertainment never stops always something to do or see. Its a one stop shop everything under the one giant roof. Known for its cleanliness and excellent animation team who never seem to stop. Its a thumbs up always from our 10 and 7 year old too.

Amazing place! This is our 2nd year here in a row! Perfect for families with small children! Kids club is fantastic! You dont even need to leave the place as it has everything, from a laundry room, shop and bakery to a games room! Also food is good and there is a few restaurants and bars to choose from! Entertainment at night for kids is brilliant too! Will definately return again!

Just home from a weeks holiday here cannot recommend it enough. If you have kids this is the place to be the entertainment from day to night was exceptional and my little girl whos 3 loved the shows aladdin and beauty and the beast being her favourite… my only issue which to me wasnt too bad but just felt having to get up early on a holiday to get a sunlounger was a bit of a downer… but overall an exceptional place to go.

Had an absolute ball here, everyone loved it, there's everything for everyone in the family. Non stop entertainment. Rooms great, big supermarket, freshest bakery n cakes. Friendly helpful staff. Cleaning everyday. Close to everything.

Clean well appointed rooms with sea view. The pool area was very nice. Pool in very good condition. Pretty cheap parking.

Clean and kept up although noisy at night as no sound deadening materials used. Tried the breakfast once in hotel restaurant and found the toast was the only thing palatable. I realize having food fresh with a breakfast smorg can be tricky but fresh fruit etc would have been easy to supply. Actually found the food in local restaurants as well a little disappointing. Staff did there jobs but a smile from them was not in the cards. Hotel was close to an excellent grocery and boardwalk and bus stop were nearby.

The surrounding city is pretty busy. There are a lot of pubs and clubs and restaurants, but parking is a nightmare. We are a family of four and have a 2 bedroom room. It's a little bit small, but it's definitely comfortable. The staff is very kind. A big plus is that it is so close to the beach! And the pool is huge!

Too much lift for the size of the building.

The Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was very nice. Never seen an entourage of swimming pool as clean, Karcher spent every two days, housekeeping people in the day who pick up what people have the indelicacy to leave on the ground, while there is a lot of rubbish. But far too crowded, sunbeds glued to each other, little tranquility around the pool. The people at the bar are very courteous and welcoming. Good size room, housekeeping done regularly. The kitchen is a little bit old.

I would very well but…
DTT no TV normal Spanish channels. The rest in foreign or poor reception. (that they are wrong)
Tub does not work the hoof to wash the pelo (está flojo y se baja) and on top in the pool we made in bad way. The lifeguard (very cool) warns us to the 6y a minute. Then warns the security and shouts from the other side of the pool and gesticulating gets to yell at my wife who was dressing to leave.
I could not change me because they closed my bath.
And when I return from the bathroom I see to discuss the very thuggish security attitude with my wife.
And thus calling attention till we dress ourselves and go. Tratandonos without any education, your child or. Cheap cool. That is the ways of the safety and lifeguard. And all of this by paying in a 4 star hotel…

I am an rci member and can confirm the 1 bedroom apt is in need of a refurb. Bed settee very uncomfortable to sit on, kitchen and kit very dated. Location is great but the hotel needs an uplift. I note the hotel has solar panels on the roof so how can they justify €30 a wk for electric does not stack up. I note parts of the hotel are being returned, maybe some of the furniture in the lounge could be switched to the rooms.

Have been here four times now have been quite satisfied, on the down side this time when we arrived for our fully payed for holiday I was told there was a €30 electicity fee that had to be payed there and then, what the hell thats all about, I have been unable to find out, I dont even use €30 of electricty a week whem I am at home.

I could go on and on about how horrible this place is but there isn't enough space for this review. The only thing good was the view. The beds and the furniture was hard as concrete. The staff at the reception desk is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced in my life. Having spent so much money for one of the apartments for this week I would have expected at least to feel like I was wanted here not like I was a nuisance to them which is what they made of feel like. They charge you for everything electricity beach towels even a cart to bring in your luggage. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to never stay at the Sunset Beach Club because the service you receive is the absolute worst service I have ever received at a hotel anywhere in the entire world.

I've been going for over 20 years. I started with my small children and now it will them, separately, with their own, unambiguous signal that we are happy.

Great week of vacation with my husband. All those q wish to come so we recommend it if you come alone as with children. For bathing on the beach must walk meters since you can not do it in front of the hotel with rocky stones.

It is the most complete complex, in terms of price quality, entertainment area, for children, porla night performances, even out of season, I am partner ddnnnnn.

My wife and I have been coming to Spain for the past three years and are coming back in 2016. This year, contrary to the first two years, we were staying at the Sunset Beach Club, with an ocean view in room 415 — it would be my choice for next year, obviously. We enjoyed the Sunset because it is clean, there is excellent security, great outdoor pools, as well as nightly entertainment for those who still like to dance and recall the younger days. Furthermore, the hotel staff is extremely helpful… in more than one language. Perfectamente!
