Have you ever felt like you can return for another stay at place because the experience was excellent? This is one of those. Arumvale is an excellent spot to escape the rush of the city to a laid back & serene place. Perfectly nestled in a lush green valley near the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. With diverse bird life & trees, it inspires the compulsion for rest and relaxation. Watching the cows in the field lowing and grazing in the distance, while I stood refreshed with my morning coffee on the balcony of The Carol Suite. The Carol Suite has stylish aesthetics with a Designer Chandelier, Accessories & Frames. Each Suite encompasses their own unique character, look and feel. Overall, Arumvale, gives you a good feeling, and a utopian experience, a place difficult to fault. All credit to George Missing being an excellent host, providing excellent service.

Lovely farm style, self-catering accommodation. A friend recommended this spot to us and we made a last minute booking. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to spend more time at this relaxing spot! The owners were so friendly and helpful too. The rooms are fully kitted with extras like hot water bottles, USB charging ports, bird books for use at the lodge as well as the usual must haves, hair dryers like tea/coffee and even fresh milk. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the muslin mozzie nets. Our room even had a fireplace! There are braai/barbecue facilities for those wanting to self cater too. The town of Swellendam has great restaurants which we would also recommend. Next door to Arumvale is the not to be missed Wildebraam farm which sells delicious berry liqueur, jams and preserves. We loved the style of the cottages as well as the peaceful surrounding area including the field on the doorstep which offers the view of mountains and cows! We will be back for another stay soon!

Great country home. Beautiful scenery. Very clean for a farmhouse. Really well maintained. The host Carol and her trusty companion Hannah are very friendly.

I actually hesitated to write a review because it's the type of please that you want to keep secretly for yourself. Everything was absolutely charming. Definitely the best accommodation we had during our road trip!

Have to make an effort to write a review because of the hospitality we received from George Missing. Arrived very late at night. Very hard to find the place in the pitch dark as the streets had no lights. George was there to assure us that this place is a farm land and quite safe even at night. He settled us in patiently and comfortably after a long day of driving. He even helped us to wash our car off the mud cake and dust that wrapped the windows. This made us felt so much better as we were used to clean cars very beautiful place of mountains and meadows. The rooms are very rustic and country deco. Wished we could stay more than 1 night but then only in our memories.

My husband and I stayed at Arumvale a few weeks ago, without knowing we had stayed there a few years ago. Lovely to know we still have great taste in picking and booking online accommodation :) George is absolutely amazing! We left CPT late Friday afternoon and only got to Swellendam at about 9pm, it was absolutely no problem for him to wait and open up for us.
The room we booked were even nicer in real life than what the photos showed, and the pics were absolutely GORGEOUS! …
So lovely that the electric blankets were turned on, ready to warm up the bed on a freezing night!
The staff super friendly and nice and it was lovely being greeted with a friendly "moooorning" ever time one of them walked passed us having our morning coffee on our balcony taking in the breathtaking views!
I can not recommend Arumvale enough! We are already so excited for the next time we'll get to stay there! Keep up the great work George! You're styling at it!

We had the most beautiful stay in Arumvale this past weekend. We hired out the rustic cottage, which was small, quaint and quite wonderful. The service was impeccable, and the owners so kind and friendly. Thanks, Arumvale! We will definitely recommend you to our friends and family, and we will be back.

What an amazing few days we had. Beautiful place, friendly people and the most stunning rooms and view. I would definitely suggest Arumvale as a family holiday or a romantic break away location. Both central and accessible.
