The accommodation, Safari and basically the entire package for the 2 night stay was awesome. Animals roaming freely in front of the chalet was just amazing. The Safari guides are exceptionally educated on the Animals and the landscape was just so green and lush. Awesome yo see so many wildlife roaming freely. Well recommended.

This was a wonderful place to safari! Our game drive guide, Felix, was amazing and very knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna. He got us so close to the animals and it was thrilling beyond belief. I have always dreamed of visiting Africa and this experience exceeded all of my dreams and expectations! Also, we stayed in their Kwena Huts, and this was a great balance of luxury while maintaining an authentic African dwelling. All of the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Gondwana Private Game Reserve and hope to return here in the future!

You truly get to experience a little part of South Africa’s beauty and see her amazing animals. We stayed at Fynbos villas and it was five star ⭐️ it lacked nothing. Meals were outstanding as was all the staff. Calvin, our tour guide for 3 amazing days was fabulous and so knowledgeable. We got to share a not so common encounter with 2 lion cubs eating and playing in the late afternoon and into sunset and dark. We seen the 2 new cheetahs with their kill, it was thrilling seeing these big cats in their environment but protected. Giraffe and Elephant graced us in large groups, mesmerising us with their beauty and grace. Rhino were so majestic and it’s hard to believe that greed pushes people to slaughter them for a horn. Hippos and baboons near the waterhole. Truly a trip of a life time. Recommend Gondwana for everyone.

We have just returned from an amazing stay with them. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Abigail the tour guide was wonderful. The spa was to die for and so reasonably priced. Experiencing the wild and luxury together was so surreal. Excellent staff, very friendly and informative game ranger, Abby you were truly amazing and made our stay a delight. Absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with respect and a level of service that is hard to find. Our accommodation was spectacular with everything in place, our field guide was friendly, knowledgeable and treated us to some amazing views of the wildlife and scenery. I can recommend Gondwana without reservation as I know they will always keep the high standards not only to the guests but also to the Nature with they as passionate about.

All the staff are amazing from the gate guard to reception staff. It is highly recommended as a first time safari experience. The sightings are close and the guides are passionate and knowledgeable. The Eco lodge design is also authentic and blended into the environment.

Game drives and picnics in the bush among the wild animals nature at its best. Lovely atmosphere and luxurious Villas.

Fantastic game reserve! So happy with our choice, worth the extra drive from Cape Town. There is something for everyone, whether it’s romantic trip, serene getaway or family vacation. All the staff are top notch as are the facilities. The food is ok, but I think they can do much better. Really fell flat in comparison to the gorgeous facilities, setting and price point. Our guide Abagail was incredible, she was so passionate about her vocation and to serving others on their Safari experience. She made certain we saw as many of the game as possible. I would also recommend the Chetah experience. It makes for a long day, but worth it. Do dress warm on the winter months, it gets colder than you think. Enjoy!

Gondwana game reserve is a spark of luxury into the wild of a beautiful natural park. The huts and villas are simply outstanding. We have stayed in a villa (as per picture) which was equipped with all kind of amenities and it was super spacious and comfortable. Our friends stayed in the huts which were also extremely luxurious. All accomodations had fireplaces which could be lit by guests creating even a warmer atmosphere. The service is also very luxurious. Everything is planned in the finest details. Food is extremely well cooked and presented and it was delicious. The day is very well organized: wake up at 6am — coffee at the bar at 6:45am — first game drive starts at 7:00am and ends at about 10:30am — once back to the lodge full breakfast is served. At this point you could relax by the pool and maybe look over the pond where elephants are normally coming to drink. After lunch, the second game drive starts to finish at about 6:30/7:00pm. During the second drive the ranger stops to have a drink enjoying the sunset. The natural reserve itself is amazing. Tons of acres of nature with many wild animals going around. The beauty about it is that animals are not fed by rangers but they need to predate to feed themselves — which makes everything very real and naturale. Definitively recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous reserve with beautiful accommodation. We had a great safari where we saw a lot of animals. Dinner was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Would love to have stayed longer!

Stunning spot. Beautiful rooms with plenty of attention to detail (towels; amenities; fire made while you're at dinner etc) ; great views. The food, staff and service were all outstanding. Not that much game to view when we visited, but I'm sure it has increased now.

Wildlife scantuary mostly Elephant Reserve park in Kenya. Covering huge area with green surroundings. Elephants mostly all tuskers are preserved here.

A piece of a healing world. It's hard to say goodbye. A place to relax, experience animals up close and not give up anything. Gondwana is a wonderful location for a holiday along the Garden Route. The hotel is intimate and so friendly. It also has larger lodges where families can stay and self cater or use the hotel. The animals are amazing and the game drivers knowledgeable, the scenery is just stunning. We have been several times and look forward to returning soon.

Amazing time at Gondwana. We were made to feel really welcome and I'd recommend specifically asking for the ranger, Ludwig (LJ). He gave us the best 2 days. We saw all the animals and even a Lion kill. We stayed in the Kwena Huts which are absolutely stunning, the food is also fantastic — I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Great quick bush break. Good food and service from Staff. The game drives are fun and informative through beautiful valleys and nature. The big 5 are all found here. All be it a little less space and more controlled than a full game reserve. The accommodation is we'll appointed and comfortable.

Amazing hotel! We had a huge 3-bedroom-villa where you have to drive 2-3 minutes to the main building. It's very private and we got many Zebras visiting us. Pool is beautiful and offers wonderful views. The Game Drives were perfect and we saw 4 our of the "Big 5" and our Guide was very motivated and friendly. Staff and food was very nice too, but breakfast has some room for improvement. A stunning place and I would love to return.

I had the privilege of working with Nicky Arthur Public Relations. Nicky Arthur PR is Boutique Public Relations firm that specialises in Public Relations, Promotions, Social Media and Press events for hospitality clientele and during my time with the firm I had the opportunity of visiting one of their hospitality clientele which was Gondwana Game Reserve, situated near the town of Mossel Bay in the Western Cape of South Africa. Gondwana is the first authentic free-roaming Big Five Reserve, situated on 11 000 hectors of Fynbos and Proteas. The experience was mind blowing and the scenery was so surreal. The early morning and evening game drives introduced me to life in the wild. Gondwana being a world class tourist attraction area, the game reserve is the perfect place to have a stress free retreat for you and your family or friends. I don’t think any review can match up to the world class experienced I had. That being said, I can safely say that Game Reserve is one of my Top Five Game Reserves in South Africa.

This is one of the newest and best game reserve in South Africa. The development is picture perfect and is surrounded by the natural wonders of Africa. Lions, Elephants, Rhino were all seen on our drives, with the staff being extremely friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. The team arrange for resident chefs to cook local meals for our guests, it was some of the best food I've tasted in ages. (and living in London this is pretty good) The accommodation is 5 Star and makes you really live that African experience. I would definitely recommend this as a must see on your SA trip. Rgds, Warren.
