What an absolutely amazing experience All staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. my mom celebrated her 80th birthday and we were surprised with flowers chocolates and a card in our accommodation. we had a minor hiccup… but the situation was immediately resolved and a platter and bottle of wine was delivered to our accommodation in a gesture of goodwill… this was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Thali Thali Game lodge. And will definitely be back… THANKYOU AMELIA AND TEAM! Keep up the good work and high standards. kind regards Bev Mason and family.

Their safari tents are really nice, it’s so peaceful to sit on the patio with a fire, watching the sunset and the local wildlife. Friendly staff, and great food too, really liked it and wish we could have stayed longer.

My wife & I really enjoyed the game drive with Kristen. He has good knowledge of the animals. Getting close up with the giraffe was our highlight 🥰

We went on a game drive and had lunch at the restaurant. A good variety of game in a beautiful setting — especially during the flower season. Friendly staff, good service and the restaurant had great food.

Worst game drive ever. we were crammed in. Two families with small children had to hold the little ones under the age of 4 on their laps the entire way.
Alcohol allowed on what should have been a family drive.
Drunk guest allowed to get on, harrassed and disturb everyone including urinating at one stop.
At no time were we asked if we were comfortable or infact comfortable with the guest harassing us.
Hardly any animals seen and we got close to only a herd of zebra that darted when the vehicle scared them. I saw more animals diving in and out the resort myself than on the drive.
my childs questions were ignored and he was blatantly spoken over by the guide.
No apologies to those on the game drive after the incident.
For such and established space this was disappointing and ruined what should have been a good weekend.

Food was good, venue beautiful.

What an interesting 90 minutes drive around a truly natural setting with expert commentary… The big 5 are not there but there are some great little (and not so little — Freddie, comes to mind) surprises. This is clearly a friendly group of staff who enjoy their work and that includes in the kitchen where the food produced was fantastic… A really easy place to spend a few unpressured relaxing hours… and fantastic value.

Just returned from a great weekend at Thali Thali. Great people, great experience, great place! I recommend the game drive and can confidently say the restaurant’s food is top class. Also, slept like a king.

We found our stay at Thali Thali very comfortable. The rooms were decent and the restaurant served a decent amount of food for very reasonable prices. We did however feel that the place was a bit run-down and flat. We did visit on a monday but it would have been nice to see other guests there too. I hope more people visit the place as the owner is wonderful and the team is great. Tips for Thali Thali — higher outside braai areas and more insulation in the rooms. Oh and there is also a lot of litter lying around. We have two kids and found lots of broken glass lying around.

Can recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service very good. Food presentation excellent and very tasty. We keep on going back. My husband can tell you I am a fussy eater so this must be good.

Very disappointed as website states Wi-Fi and when we got there we were told ONLY Wi-Fi in restaurant. Expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to cancell but were refused. I will NOT recommended to my friends.

What a lovely time we had at Thali Thali. Spent 2 nights there celebrating our wedding anniversary. We stayed in one of the luxury tents. Lovely and comfy, even had an electric blanket and a heater which was awesome as it was quite cold at night. Had a few visitors pop in to say hi, a Fallow Deer and a mongoose. On the first morning lying in bed we could see Freddy the camel in the distance. We just loved the game drives and seeing the animals up close. My favourite food was two of the starters: crumbed prawns and spring rolls, delicious. Our children and grandchildren joined us for lunch on Saturday and our grandchildren had such fun playing in the park. Thanks for everything everyone. We enjoyed your hospitality and will make a plan to visit again. So lovely to just take time to relax, unwind and enjoy nature.

We went to Thali Thali for their Easter Sunday lunch buffet. No regrets! Wonderful food. Super friendly people. Lovely location. And the animals… ☺️. Thank you! A glory filled celebration was made even better. Traditional pickled fish Grilled leg of lamb Pork fillet with prune and muscadel sauce Roast vegetables Caramelized sweet potatoes Bacon and cashew salad Poached pears with ginger snaps and Chantilly cream Nyummy!

It a good game reserve drive and the place is really a good gate away, if I were to share more photos. Lovely for special events and a wild theme eventing, was one my best experiences of this year.

This place is great if you want a peaceful getaway into the bush still want TV and friendly staff. Nice big food portions as well.

Truly an amazing spot to watch the sun go down and have a drink then the food is unbelievable, the portions are big and the quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend.

Not the best game lodge I've been to. Can't comment much on the accommodation as I only visited the restaurant, however the staff seemed very friendly. Food was decent for the price.

Wow … we had such a wonderful family break at Thali Thali … the accommodation is world class and the service is excellent. The game drive is also well worth it. We even had some of the animals come up to our doorstep.

3 hiking trails through the Park (loops of different sizes depending on the time you want to spend) will allow you to observe the wild animals. We saw giraffes in the distance! Beware, the fact that the soil is sand on stretches can make this hike difficult.

A real treat for a city slicker, whether staying in the chalet or the luxury tent. With the animals roaming between the chalets and tents, you're provided with plenty of opportunities to interact with the wildlife, whether it's photography or, in some cases, touching one of them. The staff are very friendly and responsive to your requests. I would definitely take my family to stay there again.

Thali Thali is a beautiful, small lodge. There are no Big 5 waiting here but a Game Drive is still fun and there are some animals to discover. Everyone who works there is super friendly, attentive and seemingly enjoys their work:-) Again and again, you like to have a bit of peace and quiet and enjoy the great view.

My boyfriend & I had a great time at Thali Thali Game Lodge this weekend! We stayed in the Self Catering Chalets which has a double bed, en suite bathroom & a separate kitchen / living room area with a big indoor fireplace — which we loved since it got quite cold in the evenings. We spent some time in Langebaan over the weekend & coming & going out of the lodge — even at night time — was effortless & we appreciated the freedom. Saturday morning we went on the Game Drive. Our tour guide was the friendly Francis. She was well informed, funny & quite the driver! The game drive was amazing value for money as we saw most of the animals inhabiting the Game Lodge & Francis made extra effort to find the elusive Eland herd. Its gets chilly, so be sure to dress warm enough. When we returned from the Drive, our room had been made up & the fireplace cleaned out. Saturday afternoon we roamed Langebaan & returned to the lodge in time to watch the rugby. The heart of Thali Thali is definitely the Restaurant / Bar / Reception area which boasts a great view of the grassland side of the lodge, a constantly-burning fireplace & a bloody decent menu. We watched the rugby with a few of the other guests & the all-girl staff (who threw together some mean cocktails). After rugby we stayed for dinner. Service was fast & friendly and there is ample seating indoors and outside on the deck. We had tempura prawn cutlets & jalapeno poppers for starters — both were fresh & delicious.

Wonderfull place to go out and relax away from the buzy city life. Food is excellent. Portions are very big.

This should really be a 4 1/2 stars. But the food was a bit dissapointing. Great beer selection, very nice old lodge style resturant. Wilderbeest skin floormat, large fireplace and nice wooden furniture. If your around on western cape, its worth a visit.

What an amazing experience, especially for our 2 year old grandson who loved being able to run around and play. We can highly recommend this for anyone that has children. The animals which came right by our cottage were a very special treat for young and old while we were having our dinner. The game drive with Charlie and his faithful companion was priceless as we got to see all the animals promised! Thank you Thalie Thalie, we will be back!

Home away from home. With very friendly owners, this place is a must for every traveler out there that wants a piece of peace and quiet. With free roaming wildlife, game drives, archery and walks available, there is endless fun for everyone. Not to mention the excellent restaurant and bar. The staff ensure you are well looked after during the entire stay.

Great atmosphere. Menu was limited but food was tasty.

The venue was absolutely amazing, from the perfect ambiance at the restaurant with the fire place to the tantalising menu (did I mention that their servings are generous). We followed this up with an archery lesson from the host herself — Amalia, she not only showed us the basics of archery but also gave us a little bit of history around the sport aswell as the different bows and arrows which were used by the professionals of the sport. We finished off this eventful day with a game drive to a perfect sunset. Will definitely recommend thali thali for those wanting a quick break away from the cities hustle and bustle.

We had such an amazing time from the moment we set foot in the lodge the friendliness off the owner and staff not a single negative point at all meeting a 4 day old black wildebeest (bully) and a huge thank you to Francis our tour guide on the amazing game drive and as our waitress amazing service amazing food we will definitely be back.

Stayed in the farmhouse with friends for kiting in nearby langebaan. Staff was very helpful and farmhouse had great atmosphere. Will stay again.

Me and my friends and family love to eat out at least once a week and if you are from Langebaan you'll know that there are not so many places to go as we are a small town. So I took the family and a couple of friends for lunch yesterday 31 December 2016. There were 12 of us … which included 5 men who loves to eat. The whole experience from the beginning was nothing short of excellent. Our drinks came as quick as it was ordered and kept topped up during the scorching afternoon. Now for the food. Man all of us were so impressed not only was it very good but also very generous portions. So all the guys agreed that the meat were well prepared and up there with the best. So well done to the owner and staff for great food and excellent service … well worth it so go and treat yourself and your family.

We went there for lunch. Exceptional food, presented beautifully on the plate. I recommend the Venison Steak. Great value for money. Will definitely go back.

No nead to search for food on the plate, nice fresh and a full plate. The trip to the wild is excellent my kid was sad when this was over. Staff very friendly. The cottage clean big and has heavely comfotable warm beds. I would have love to stay there for a full month per holiday. This is a safe enviroment for families.
