Lovely facility with a free shuttle to the waterfront. The staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The room is small but nice and has a fridge. A safe for valuables is also provided. The food for breakfast is varied and quite tasty. I recommend it without reservation.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Cape Town. It's a beautiful hotel with great views. What always impresses me is their attention to details. We had a pyjama party for a friend at the hotel and they went all out with the welcome wine and snacks. Our special pyjamas were nicely wrapped and waiting for us in our rooms. And they served a lovey spread with sparkling wine, sushi, cakes and a whole lot more served by the chef himself. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. They also have a lovely bar with a deep blue pool which is heated. Perfect for the winter months. I will recommend it to anyone who is looking to host a special celebration or just a romantic stay.

It is a hotel that lacks a lot of character, the rooms are not very nice, they lack maintenance.
The lobby is done and the breakfast is good.

Comfortable hotel within walking distance to the international convention centre. A little dated but still well-maintained overall. Service could have been better.

I travel the world for my job and have eaten in many hotels. The breakfast here was by far the nicest breakfast I have ever had. I don't write reviews but I really felt this hotel deserves a 10/ 10 for the breakfast. Delicious ☺️

Great place to stay in Capetown! Right across from V&A Wharf, convenient to city center as well. Very short ride from camps bays and the other coastal suburbs. Hotel service was 5 star. The concierge was one of the best of any where I've stayed. The bar is also very nice for a drink or meal. The pool area is great too for relaxing. The breakfast buffet is very good. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable.

My favourite hotel in Cape Town. Great pool area with sun and bar right along side. Very short walk to the V&A along the waterside walk past the Cape Grace (where you can stop for a glass or two of wine looking out at Table Mountain). Drinks by the pool are special here any time of day. Exhibition Center just 100m away and easy walk to Long Street. Traffic nearby is very minimal.

Only visited the Spa and the restaurant, not a hotel visitor. The spa was nice, welcoming entrance with friendly staff. The massage area were neat and clean, but no space to lock your wallet, phone etc for safe keeping while enjoying your time with them. Messages were nice, just your standard. Restaurant, we expected more. Seems like they are more bar orientated than restaurant. Not a wide selection of meals and nothing extraordinary, can't compare with other restaurants nearby.

Go hungry as the buffet will let you gain a kg or 2 LOL… Excellent service and food is awesome.

Very comfortable Grand Hotel. Large and quiet rooms. Great Breakfast with live piano bar. Cooks on hand for excellent omelets. Small pool and with many children. There is a paid spa.

Southern Sun The Cullinan is one of the best hotels I have ever been. They provide the excellent service and create memorable experience for guests. The staff is very friendly and professional.

We stayed at The Cullinan for two nights recently, and were left quite unimpressed with their 5-star rating: the rooms are small, the decor and facilities are dated, the breakfast buffet is quite crowded, and the food is average. The bar has a good vibe in the evening, with a good selection of drinks and food. On our first night, we had a few tapas, which were delicious. However, on the second night, I ordered a sirloin steak, which had obviously been frozen — this was quite disappointing from a hotel that claims to be 5-stars. The TV in the bar was cutting out the whole time, and it didn't seem that anyone was particularly interested in fixing the issue We have to compliment Renee from the front desk, who was very efficient at checking us in. In summary, The Cullinan might have been a 5-star hotel 10-15 years ago, but it is now seriously outdated and needs a major refurbishment.

Great hotel, comfortable rooms, and very convenient to the Convention Center. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and dining was also good.

Good but there is room for improvement The shuttle service was not up to standards. They were not always on time and when it did arrive, it was full with passengers from another hotel. I would suggest getting a dedicated shuttle for each hotel over the peak periods. I found it silly that we had to pay for parking, it was just R50 a day. Surely you can just take that from the accommodation price? There was plenty of things for breakfast but the quality wasn't good, I think that can be improved on.

Had a good evening celebrating Cindy & Gershon's wedding. Food was good. Very nice venue.

My Home away from home. I am always made to feel so special. Thankyou for juat being unreal. Nowhere in the world am I treated as well. I feel like royalty every time I visit. This is just a special special place.

Was visiting an overseas friend who stayed here. Extremely friendly front house staff. If only their 500mgs of data limit could be upped to limitless as befitting a hotel of this calibre.

The grand sister to the Southern Sun Waterfront, being right next door, this hotel reminds you of the Roman Empire with high ceilings and pillars towering over the pool area and foyer. The rooms here are a tad more modern than Southern Sun Waterfront with silvers and whites being the main colors giving it that luxurious touch. It might cost a bit more but if you have guests not too keen on public areas filled with kids then this could be a good alternative. Although they do accept children, families will tend to go to Southern Sun Waterfront more than they come here.

Very lovely hotel. Clean polished spacious rooms, nice bathroom, large new TV, live music in the lobby in the morning, friendly door staff and reception, great bar, great location. I felt very welcome here.

Taiwan plugs can be plugged directly into the socket, but pay attention to the voltage is 220v. Breakfast recommended site Please cook a omlet, the sauce is very delicious, soy sauce in the big cheese next to a small pot.

Beautiful place! Absolutely lovely atmosphere, Dinner was awesome with a beautiful menu. Friendly service. Having such a super time celebrating our son's 21st birthday! ❤️

Beautifully appointed rooms. Amazing buffet spread. The hotel taxi service to V&A is so well thought out. Very attentive hotel staff. Made our stay in cape town very memorable.

I had a very good experience at tge hotel the food and the service was good and I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I've only eaten at their restaurant (buffet), not stayed in their accommodations. The food is excellently prepared and presented. The staff are helpful and friendly (if a little slow on removing plates at times). Even the bathrooms are great. Overall a lovely experience.

Very nice breakfast, plenty of smiling faces ready to help, great large venue for large groups.

The decor is not what one would expect, the carpets are musty. The toilet doesn't flush and bounce back. In the all, it's not a bad place to stay, they are renovating and would love to see what it will look like. I would come back purely because of the warm service. It feels as though I come here all the time and they know me.

Very nice. Easy walk to waterfront and the shops in town. First rate hotel. Will stay again.

Rather stay accross the road at the Westin Grand — similar price, better value (unless you love the Victorian styling).
