Breakfast spread was great and the rooms were very neat with everything you need.

Close to all amenities. High quality breakfast and room s. Yet homely has an interesting historical background.

Very good and charming address. One star less because the apartments in the back are soundproof and the main bed is a convertible but comfortable all the same. 20 minutes walk from the waterfront.

A somewhat over the years accommodation. Short walk to the waterfront. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice reception. Beautiful pool (slightly dirty through all the plants outside).

It is a guesthouse that lends itself "of charm", it is nothing; Of course there is a little greenery, and a small pool, but this old house could be a wonderful place. But here…
The staff at the reception is very unpleasant and unhelpful (leaves work at, the exact time running), does not transmit the messages (I made 220 kms for Hermanus for nothing).
The rooms of the backyard are a real prison;
Bar at the windows, at the door.
The room is tiny, the water room closes with a closet door (type Ikea) poorly laid;
Nothing makes you want to stay there and even less to come back.
The breakfast room is too small. Customers are forced to wait for the place to be.
I strongly advise against it.

Made a booking yesterday, 17 September, for 2 double rooms for a family of 4 (USA guests), for December 2014. Spoke to a gentleman at Brenwin Guest House telephonically and it was confirmed and all I had to do was send an email so he had my contact details. 24 hours later I get this, after I had already confirmed with the USA guests: Thank you for your email! Unfortunately we only have one room available for these dates. Kind regards, Kelly. Brenwin Guest House 1 Thornhill Rd Greenpoint 8005 I made telephonic contact with “Pam” 30 minutes ago but she was not prepared to listen to me and an apology was not forthcoming, so I am making sure that she hears me now! My warning to anyone who has booked into Brenwin Guest House, make sure you still have accommodation.

Loved the place. Only problem is was cellular reception at times but other than that the place was perfect.
