Very pleasant and hostess very accommodating. Bumped us up to a bigger room at no extra cost.

Very friendly reception that makes one feel welcome immediately! Our unit was spacious and very comfortable — perfect for overnight stay! Safe off street parking and walking distance of numerous great restaurants.

Did not use the Horse & Mill as accommodation, but twice (in one day) for drinks and dinner. The service is superb, the pizzas were delectable and the ambience so comforting.

Wow friendly people, you get what they promise. And the food wow great with great prices.

Very nice rooms and friendly host and staff. Lovely garden at the back to enjoy a drink. Rooms are airconditioned and in quiet street. Ideal stopover to the Cape.

Nice place. Clean and fresh. Could do with a shower curtain. Bathroom floor very wet when showered. No teaspoon in the room so difficult to stir, once you make your coffee.
Minor things but attention to detail is important. Management should also try to quieten the local drinkers in the beer garden as they are very rowdy as our room was right opposite.

A vibey local pub and restaurant. Cosy setting with real home made food. The atmosphere is warm and staff are friendly and helpful. After a long drive a warm wholesome meal was in order. We had our 2 small dogs with us and we were able to take them in with us.

Very comfortable room. Dining room cold and characterless. Best dining area would be in the pub, but smoking allowed? Thought it was illegal.

Pitched up without a reservation & were warmly welcomed. We were immediately shown to a lovely little room/apartment overlooking a little Brook. Being winter we REALLY appreciated the room warmer, air con, dual controlled electric blanket & down duvet that the room was equipped with. Their restaurant was an added blessing.

Great food from the cooks and excellent service from the waiter. The accommodation was very nice. I would recommend everyone to pay this place a visit.

The rooms are exceptionally comfortable. Our sleep was superb! Gotta say that the pub is great as it is branded with a RumBro. And staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Everything was utterly pathetic. Shocking all round! From the old empty asparagus can in the draw to the filthy teapot. Would not recommend to anyone. No interest shown by anyone as regards management or otherwise. Place stank of urine as well!

A fabulous place so full of history, and charm. Well worth a visit.

Horse and Mill is the perfect overnight place to stay. It's very clean, neat and beautiful interior. Everything works — from the hot water to the shower head and the beds are comfortable for a good night's rest. There's a restaurant on the premises, which makes it super easy as a stopover. And the owner and staff are very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Thumbs up for Horse and Mill. Thanks a lot!

Great pub. Average food. The accommodation is rubbish. Can't lock the door. The kettle is broken, parking is full. If you order food, order the lamb chops. Everything else is frozen and defrosted. Next time I'll stay in Richmond at ka-ma lodge. Its cheaper and better and the food is stunning!

We arrived to a rude and abrupt lady, who then took us to our room on the opposite side of the road, the room was cold, dirty, the white towels had yellow stains on. The bath was gross. We then decided immediately that we would find new accommodation. We drove around… We stayed in a 3 star guest house called Colesview, he was amazing, friendly, willing to help accommodate us with our 2 dogs and the rooms where so clean, warm and neat. They even smelt nice! We had a lock up garage for our car. Unfortunately our experience at Horse and Mill was disappointing and our room looked nothing like what the internet was selling. We wont be back!

We stayed 2 nights at the Horse and Mill with the accommodation being over the road opposite the pub. The accommodation had recently been re-furbished and was very nice indeed. The pub and beer garden are excellent and the meals superb especially the Karoo lamb chops. All in all this is the ideal venue to stay at to break up the journey when travelling from the north to the south or vice-versa.

Just a lovely small place to relax on your way to the Cape. The accommodation is amazing vintage style, pub's food is very tasty and well prepared. I will recommend Horse and Mill.
