The warmth and friendly welcome by the staff, they really know what they are doing. The service is very great.

Amazing food and beautiful rooms.

I am no happy with service I received. Terrible service the worse part is I ordered a breakfast pack and It was not done in the morning before checkout I had to wait for 15min to be given potato chips, who eats potato chips in the morning.

What a lovely stay. Big clean rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the gym which is open all the time. Good food at the restaurant. I always love staying there when I'm in Upington. The last time I'have stayed there my room overlook the mighty orange river. What a treat.

Fabulous experience. The staff is always ready to help. Our room has a fantastic view of the river. Which is very scenic. It made our time here a great time to relax, recuperate and reflect. We had throughly enjoyed our stay. The winter sunsets was a great highlight after a long day of being out and about handling our duties. Would definitely recommend.

The Wi-Fi has a 500MB daily limit. Other hotels offer unlimited internet access while charging less on accommodation.

Got here at 15:00 after a long and tiring drive. Handed me key to the room and the bed is not made. Turns out most of the rooms were not made. Not excellent service from the Marriot group and definitely not worth the money being paid.

Wi-Fi was not working n bad service on exit.

It has warm and friendly services and rooms have more space.

I have never seen such a horrible room ever in my many stays in Protea Hotels… it looks like the room was under construction… in the morning there wasn't hot water in the shower. I had a horrible experience.

Great breakfast travel food packs… awesome late dinner for 26 people after sail on Orange River. Thank you Sakie's of Sakie's Arkie please support him in his court case to continue he operating of this tourist gem!

I visited the restaurant and bar on a few occasions! Great for cocktails and perfect for parties! Tasty food, have never been disappointed! Well done to the friendly staff and management!

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, and the courtyard is nicely designed. Negative point are the rooms: Partly without windows (only with hatch to a dark shaft with loud roaring fans), battered furniture, and lack of cleanliness in the bathroom.

We were happy with the level of service. One issue though, it would've been nice to have covered parking in the heat.

Definitely not a four star hotel I thought the rates a bit steep for the room on my own.

No smoking rooms, but otherwise good. Hat tip to barman Luwin for shooting off to the shops for me. That's the kind of service you should get, but rarely do.

Good for short stay overs. Business like. Neat. Nice coffee machines in rooms. Next to Orange river but no special view nor outside terraces. The hotel should do more to use the prime river front space better.
