We stayed in the timeshare and it was always clean and the rooms are nice and big. Lots of privacy. The resort is convenient to go to Kruger and other attractions. Don’t rely on their little shop and the restaurant didn’t appeal to us we went into Hazyview which had lovely places to eat. We enjoyed our stay.

Shower drains blocked. Aircon is leaking inside the room. Floors get flooded from the bathroom shower. Musky room smell. Unfriendly service from the bar tender and reception. Complaints were given to receptionist and still nothing was done. Sadly Won’t be booking in here again.

I would totally recommend this place it was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place to be. Their chalet are big, each with big bedroom same set up with a private ensuite. Great view and lot of activities.

It was a beautiful place with amazing staff. It's location is fantastic, allowing you to plan an amazing trip, full of amazing sites, without having to travel too far.

Wonderful resort on the banks of a river. There are self catering units as well as hotel rooms. Beautiful gardens and a huge swimming pool.

We had stay at this property for 2 night, whole property required maintenance, even the bathroom door lock is not properly work. At dinner the rise was half cooked. The only pluses point is that it's only 15 min away from Kruger national park.

Now this was one amazing place. From getting there, being welcomed open heartedly and enjoy our stay there. This place has amazing on resort activities, with Martin entertaining the kids daily. The restaurant has great food and the houses are amazing. Crocs and hippos on the resort were a nice surprise. Every morning you can sit and enjoy a cuppa while watching the hippos play in the river right infront of your cottage. Would for sure go there again. One amazing gem.

Worst visit ever! Got rejected at the gate after booking 6 adults and a two year old toddler. As the chalets only accommodate 6 people. Offered to pay the balance. Got rejected.

Shocking! We made a booking for 6 adults and 1 baby. Upon our arrival after a 4 hour drive from Johannesburg and at 22h00 at night they refused to let us in because we were 7 people and not 6. They counted the baby as an adult person being 7 persons. We offered to pay ekstra for the baby but they still refused access as there card facilities do not work. We then offered to leave our credit card and car keys as security till the next morning but they still refused. They didn't care that it was 22h00 at night and that we had a little baby and needed a place to sleep. Despite this they refused access advising that we should find alternative accommodation they can only help us the next morning. This knowingly that 90% of the alternative accommodation are already closed and those ones that were opened were full! Thanks to Numi hotel who was willing to wait for us until 11h00 and glady assisted us with a bed to sleep!

A beautiful resort this is. Above all, the staff was awesome, their service was excellent. Thanks to the restaurant staff for the birthday cake and for singing. Fun was had and thanks to everyone. Keep up the fantastic service guys :).

Situated near Kruger park on the banks of the sabie and sand river. Beautiful bird and animal life. Hippos eat the lawn at night.

Good hotel. Good food, good rooms! Everything you need is on site. Even a small kiosk!

Beste akommedasie met ruim slaapkamers. Goeie lugversorging. Met n lieflike tuin. Pragtige groot bome met lekker loop geriewe. Gemaklike beddens wat groot gewig kan vat. Lekker kombuis met genoeg van alles.

This place is awesome. Quite close to the Kruger gate, but it doesn't need the Kruger to survive. You can easily spend a weekend just at the resort; nice large pool (feels heated), putt-putt, table tennis, walks, nice restaurant and bar. Relaxing setting. The self catering units are nice but needs a bit of updating. Staff is very friendly. I do, however, encourage the cleaning staff to focus on cleaning the rooms — some rat droppings were evident in our TV area and wasn't cleaned the whole weekend Thanks for a great time, will be back.

Very nice retreat to lazy around with heated pool and lots of activities. Close to Krugerhek and the park. There's lots of quaint restaurants and places around. There'd a shopping centre within quick reach. Only downside is that the consumables are extremely expensive. An ice cream which costs R18 in shop they charge R32 for.

We had a wonderful time at sanbonani resort. The kids enjoyed all thw holiday activities. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Sanbonani.

A very cool resort with a restaurants, pool, quite. Good for family and very much closer to Phabeni — Kruger national park.

Lovely… atmosphere, surrounds And the restaurant is outstanding (affordable and well presented). The lamb ribs are the BEST.

Loved the place and so relaxing… The staff was great and friendly. Really enjoyed it.

I was only there for one night. No cellphone coverage (Vodacom). No Wifi or network in the room… you have to go to the reception area and buy data… this is 2018 right? … oh, but we're in Africa… but I've been to Zimbabwe and Uganda and there you have Wi-Fi in the rooms… yes, but this is South Africa… oh, right. Anyway… it looks like good holiday resort (pool, etc…) to get away from everything.

Really enjoyed our break at sanbonani… very friendly staff, the chalets could do with a little tlc, and the bathrooms renovated… housekeeping could clean a bit better everyday but overall a beautiful place perfect for a short break away.

The cottage that we rented was very well equipped, lovely views over the river, spacious, well furnished if a little dated. Beautiful place, excellent restaurant with local foods and fresh, nice pool sufficiently heated for the period.

Had a good time with the family here and the staff were very friendly. One thing that could improve is the size of the restaurant, one feels crammed in there when eating. One can say that this is a very diverse place where people from different parts of the world come and visit. The pool is amazing! I wish I had one like that at home :) I recommend this place for all age groups.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at your lovely resort. Everything was clean, well maintained and the staff are excellent.
Only one complaint. We saw your restaurant and thought what a beautiful setting so we went past reception where we saw the set menu, the menu didn't look very interesting so we asked if there was an alternative menu, to which the lady on reception replied yes of course. In the restaurant we ordered a bottle of wine, while our very friendly waiter brought us menus. It was the set menu there was no alternative menu. We started with potato soup. It was nice cut Luke warm. My husband tried the chicken schnitzel only to find the outside greasy and the inside rubbery, the fish wa dry and so hard that we have needed a steak knife, oth accompanied by sweet carrots and watery cauliflower and frozen chips. It was not a pleasant experience.
We will definitely be back to the resort but definitely won't eat in the restaurant. The waiter did apologize for the awful food, but pockets lighter and tummies empty we went back to the chalet and had a sandwich. We checked out the tuck shop but at R40 rand for an ice cream decided against that too.
Spa was wonderful. We had a couples massage, it was relaxed and we felt fantastic afterwards, thank you to your expert staff. Sorry it's only 4 stars, but get your food and tuck shop sorted and it will definetly be 5 stars. See you soon.

Really beautiful place and staff are very accommodating. Enjoyed the spa and love sitting by the river, just be careful of the hippos Very close to lots of activities in the area like the elephant sanctuary and the Kruger park. A must visit if in the area!

Loved it! What a wonderful time we had at the resort. We can recommend it to anyone for a lovely time close to the Kruger National Park.

I slept there during my stay in April. It's clean. I loved the view there. The cold fresh air in the morning.

The resort and grounds are beautiful, thatched with a nice braai area. Staff were good apart from some missing food from chalet. Good amenities. Only deducting a star because the buffet for dinner and breakfast was awful and we had to pay for Wi-Fi and then it only worked sporadically. Should have a proper restaurant and a proper shop instead of an overpriced tuck shop, 2 pieces droewors was R24. Also R25 for a bottle of beer is a bit much, go to G's on Albatross Rd near by where they are R15

Awesome Getaway, beautiful surroundings… Lots to see and do. Really enjoyed it.

We used Sanbonani as a base to explore the region and especially the Kruger National Park. It is only minutes away from the Kruger Park and as such it is a perfect destination 4 exploring the area. The facilities are great although we did not eat at the Resort and we did not spend a huge amount of time at the Resort.

Chalets are homely and well maintained. Love the spa.

This is a true gem. Loved it here. Close to phebeni gate. Only 10km away. I loved the huge naturally heated pool. The luscious green gardens are so welcoming. Giving u a lovely relaxing walk. Huge trees surround the chalets. There is the river which runs past the resort. There is a resident hippo that pops out at night. I found the buffet a bit pricey. But I think it caters for overseas visitors. Pricey for the locals. Staff are very friendly and willing to help. I will be back again.

Great Family outing! Great HOT weather. Very friendly staff, well maintained chalets, lots of family activities to do. Really enjoyed the week-long stay.

This was the highlight of our Kruger visit. It is luxurious, spacious accommodation at it's very best and to wake at 3 am to the munching sound of a hippo eating grass was extremely exciting. One suggestion is a little "roof" over the braai area.

Very well run. Staff friendly and efficient. Units clean and well maintained. Beautiful pool area. Hippos on the lawn in front of our unit every night. Be careful walking around at night. We almost walked into a hippo. Highly recommend to stay here.

Reception was great. Can't expect more for a self catering resort.

A whole week of bliss relaxation. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The chalet was well maintained and look after. A lot of exciting activities to do in and around the resort. We will definitely be retuning in the near future. Thank you Sabonani.

What a terrible experience we had. The staff were incompetent and made us wait 2 hours for our unit. The electricity kept tripping, the fan in the bedroom did not work, they will not be seeing me again.

Had a wonderful week you need nothing more the quiet and tranquil I feel want to stay for another month. Good work for Sanbonani.

A fantastic place to unwind for a week. On the door-step of the Kruger National Park. Use a time-share swap and enjoy the bush in all its splendor! Well worth a trip.

Sanbonani is located between two rivers, which makes it a prefect place for spotting hippos and crocodiles. One night there was a hippo standing in front of door. Also there are plenty facilities and enough to do in the area. It's actually in the middle of both Kruger and the panorama route. The only problem was that we had no electricity and water for quite a long time, because of a failure. Also it was a bit strange you had to pay for the Wi-Fi every 24 hours, but it wasn't that expensive.

Really great place. Love the the way the hippos just come walking by. Really enjoyed the place nice and relaxing. Lots of activities around to do and amazing restaurants near by. The staff were helpful so was rhetoric manager. The only problem I found was that the cellc phone reception was really bad and they charge exploiting rates of R25 for 100MB of data. The alcohol was really expensive.
