Perfect host and hospitality. Good tips. Very nice facility. Anytime again.

The lodge is very beautiful, and Sander and Juliette made our stay very special. Friendly, helpful, flexible and extremely good dinners. The location is perfect for exploring Blyde river canyon area and wildlife. Even now, in times of Covid-19, it is a wonderful and safe place to travel to.

As soon as we walked were blown away and awesome courtesy by Sander hope I spelt your name right?!

Wonderful, wonderful place indeed. The friendliness of Sander and his wife, oh my goodness. We loved our stay there. My wife and I have been to many outings like hotels and more but ever since our experience there she now knows exactly what kind outing she loves, all thanks to African Rock Lodge.
The rooms were perfect, spacious, warm, quite, private with so much peace of mind, enough beds for me, my wife and our 5 year old daughter.
The fire place that we got to enjoy, both with my family and Sander's, the breakfast each morning was just amazing, a good bar area, a big book shelf with plenty of books for your reading pleasure, a nice swimming pool though the weather was a bit too cold for us to really enjoy it, bicycle rides to go out with as a couple into the wilderness or just to take a walk around. Wild game in and around the area. But for me the greatest impression was meeting Sander; his friendliness, how he makes time to chat, check up on how you're doing, generally wants to know more about you, even gave me a wine tasting experience lol, you know. He even took our daughter as well as his daughter out driving so that my wife and I could have some quiet time hiking and riding bicycles and much more. We are definitely coming back because my daughter really misses your daughter; they made good friends. I totally recommend this place-

I experienced a warm welcoming, Juliette and Sander made me feel at home. The food is delicious, the rooms spacious, clean and so comfortable. The lodge is nested in the Hoedspruit Nature Reserve, excellent location in the heart of the Nature. A great location for a wonderful relaxing vacation.

This is an amazing place 2 be if u want 2 relax & have peace of mind.

Thank you Juliet and Sander. I had the privilege of spending the night at African Rock Lodge. I was welcomed by Juliet, it was very apparent that this lodge would offer the same warmth that radiated from her. The rooms are classy, comfortable, spacious and well stocked. The bathrooms are large with a large bath and shower. I knew within seconds I would not want to leave. The boma and eating area is breathtaking. I sat outside on my verandah with my coffee in hand, in the bush watching warthogs running around and a group of zebra lazing around. I left a part of my heart behind as I slowly drove away. Thank you for an awesome stay.

Amazing experience… I highly recommend it.

Stayed for for four days. Everything was perfect. We welcomed by Juliet with smile Sanders followed and greet us with our language Sepedi and he is Belgian. Breakfast was mouth watering. Hospitality we got from the host and their staff was superb. African rock is home away from home. The estate is safe n cool.

We recently stayed at the African Rock Lodge with our two sons, ages 9 and 5. Sander and Juliet were wonderful hosts and chefs. They made our stay very comfortable and pleasant — even with two rambunctious boys.

Sandre and juliet welcomes you in a beautiful setting. The rooms are beautiful and the evening barbecue delicious combining South African specialties and European tradition in a family atmosphere and sumptuous setting. The patterns are warm, very available and sander speaks perfect French. An address to advise!

It's beautiful, quiet and so wild. Safe and nice place to be. I love it.

Excellent couple as owners who is present full time. Warm relaxed atmosphere. Clean neat and tidy. Dinnertime braai is amazing as an extra. Situated perfectly!

We received a very warm welcome and felt at home straight away. Our room was very cosy, comfortable and clean. There an honesty bar in the room as well as free tea and coffee. The service was excellent. Breakfast was nice — a choice of a cooked breakfast and/or continental. Even though the lodge was a B&B we were offered dinner the first night we were there — the weather was nice so the owners were having a braai (bbq). It was well worth the extra price — the food was delicious. The resident cat was very laid back and enjoyed human company. Unfortunately we didn't have time to swim in the pool.

Beautiful, calm and peaceful place. Very nice and patient proprietor who took good care of us himself.

In short; best place to be.

When we arrived, the innkeeper was drunk. And instead of welcoming our group, he asked for money, though, everything from anyone who has been paid in advance. At the last night of our stay, derogatory made by sides of the innkeeper and his wife (both German) our congratulations chubby comments to (that was really too far). The daily food was African well prepared because of love employees. The Krüger Park it was morning in the cold fog in lodge's own jeeps with broken planning. Our driver asked, whether we tablets or Medicines from Germany had brought, he could get… Then when we the Mittagspicknik made in the Park, alcohol was purchased by the employees for private use.
I was ashamed and regretted to have supported this 'business 'couple.
