BEAT Arts Hostel at Chinatown Hostel

Only reason it gets 3 stars is because of one helpful staffer that was there on Sunday. She gave me directions to the awesome food market and places to visit. The rooms were ok. Breakfast was mediocre. Coffee or tea with toast and jam. Advertised as rooms starting from 18$. I got charged 20$. Overall an ok place to shower and sleep.

The location near of MRT Downtown, just walk 5 minutes. So far so good for backpacker like me. Recomended.

Location is good, The price is quite appropriate but bathroom is very dirty.

A good place to stay… But the staff here is nt good… The staff is very rude and nt supportive…. Hygiene level are poor… We had booked a room for 4… but we're being forced to stay n share with another room… We had to fight to get the room that we hd booked… We were adjusted in another room… Where Wi-Fi did nt hv signal.

I'd strongly recommend you NOT to stay here. You're not saving, you won't be able to rest or enjoy any part of your stay here. I've been traveling for 10 months including in India, and this was my worst stay. NOISY Kids running up and down the hall screaming, right outside the rooms, 7 oclock in the morning. DIRTY Bathrooms always stink with urine, as a dirty public WC. NO BREAKFAST By 8am, breakfast was eaten by other guests, but noone attended to replenish. Front desk staff speak zilt to minimal English. Greedy owner attempted to charge $67 SGD walk-in rate, for a bed, when his staff quoted $19. He also threatened to get the police involved. Would any traveller want your travel experience turn out this way?

The room is quite clean and always in cold temperatures. Just few step away from the famous chinatown and Metro.

Staying in unfamiliar place demands good service and amenities. If these expectations are not met, the word of dissatisfaction is spread. However, there is always room for improvement.

For a backpacker this inn is an excellent choice. But for a hedonist, I dont recommend. Location is good, nearby mrt chinatown. Easy to find food, accessories, and good stuff. Near by attraction, buddhist and Hindi temple. For the inn. Cleanliness is standart for a cheap price. I can find dust on my bed and floor. Safety is ok. Staff is ok. Bathroom is nay! Dirty and odor. Price is good compared to other place. For breakfast, there are evaporated milk, bread, jam, cruchy cereal.

+ The place is good to stay. + They have a lot of bathroom. + The staff so nice even if you go back over 12pm, just tell they first. + I love the breakfast, all you can eat. Lol. — you couldn't choose the bed. — Some bathroom are broke. But they have a lot, so just get another.

Very nice place with good service.

Great place for backpackers and reasonably priced. Air-conditioned rooms and beds are clean. 24 hours 7-11 convenient store is about 7-10 minutes walk. Breakfast is basic and limited. There is a eatery just right below though. If you are willing to walk further down the road, you will see Maxwell market where you will find many local delicacies.
