Talofa Inn

Great location, good staff. Excellent price, and most important clean and comfortable rooms with good air-con. Highly recommended.

Even if my arrival didn't go as planned, I got there with the first bus of the day. It was an adventure all to itself.
They let me wait for my room in the lobby area, and served me some breakfast.
Room was clean and comfortable. Shower and toilet was down at the hall, but that was fine by me!
I didn't find it noisy or anything, room had great ac, TV was working but no colors (I didn't mind).
The ladys who run the place are really nice and helpful!
I really enjoyed my stay in Samoa and in Talofa inn!

The main disadvantage is the bathroom which was private but outside the room. Taxis seem to have trouble finding this hotel so make sure you have their phone number handy to provide directions to the driver. Great location in downtown Apia. The room had good air conditioning and a fridge. There was also a wash basin which was useful giving it is not an en-suite.

Centrally located, great price, comfortable rooms, great staff/service. The Wi-Fi situation is a bit interesting, you get 2GB/day, so be prepared for that. Also, it seems that at least sometimes they lock the gate that leads to the entrance at night, so if you need to leave for something early in the morning or don't plan on getting back until late at night, maybe coordinate with the staff so you don't get locked in/out.

This is a great little budget hotel. It’s above a clothing shop which they also run. It’s in the center of town and the ladies running the place are available from 7 AM to 7 PM.
If there is a late or early check in they sleep over. It’s important to communicate your arrival time if you intend to check in outside of those times. Note that if you book via Booking. Com they don’t respond to messages you leave there. They do promptly respond to emails however.
The rooms are very small and the traffic noise is bad as the hotel is above a main road. You’ll want to pack a good pair of ear plugs (preferably the wax ones you can burrow over your ear drums). You’ll need them for the rest of your Pacific trip anyway (cars; roosters; dogs; loud music).
While you’re at it, also bring eye shades as the curtains let in light.
Also, I didn’t know what “private bathroom” means. It’s not en-suite. You get a private toilet and bathroom down the hall that is locked and only you have the keys for. Not the greatest set up but doable.
Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a washer and dryer and staff will do your laundry for an extra charge. The room comes with a generous 2 GB a night of Wi-Fi. If you need more it costs 10 Tala for another 2 GB.
The room also has a TV and fridge.
Breakfast is included: cereal; oatmeal and coffee or tea. They kindly also made me a scrambled egg for free. So kind. You can use their kitchen and cook for yourself if you want to.
The best thing is the staff.

Fantastic location, very clean room, excellent AC, and breakfast and coffee provided. Windows don’t protect from road noise however, so be prepared for the locals to share their music tastes with you at all hours. Sundays you can hear the churches come alive from the shared balcony. Great base for exploring downtown Apia. Staff are friendly, helpful, and you can hire vehicles on site.

Close to all shops in walking distances, the staff are lovely and easy to talk to. The room was basic but worth the price and the breakfast is included in the price. So if you are on a budget or looking for a place to stay without a swimming pool. This is the place to come highly recommended.

My arrival at Samoa scheduled for 5.30am and the official check-in at the planned hotel at 3pm, I decided to book a reasonably priced accomodation already for the night that had passed. My choice fell on the 'Talofa Inn', mainly due to various positive comments.
There had been quite a correspondance regarding the transfer from the airport by shuttle service, but that didn't work, so I took a taxi for WST 60, which was not too bad. After a nice breakfast with plenty of fruit, served at the table, I was shown room No 4, which was quite big, but facing the main road, with quite a lot of traffic during the day, but not too bad during the night.
The accomodation in a quite central location consists of only 6 rooms, all quite different. There was a bathroom with shower attached, but the washbasin was in the bedroom. There was enough storage space everywhere. It had a bar of soap and in the shower a liquid soap dispenser. Shampoo has to be taken along.
When I arrived the lady (Tsafea) told me that checkout is at 10am, but when I had a look at the contract and at the hotels information leaflet, it definitely said 11am. The next day another lady (Leausa) was in charge and I was able to leave my luggage by the reception until a taxi took me to my next accomodation.

I chose Talofa Inn for its central location and good reviews here and I wasn't disappointed. It is located about 10 minutes walk to the flea market/bus terminal and about 5 minutes walk to the fresh produce market. There's a small supermarket just opposite Talofa Inn and a Chinese fastfood restaurant (which is also open on Sundays) just 2 blocks away.
The room was clean with a fan, air conditioning and a sink. The single room I stayed in didn't have an en-suite bathroom but a bathroom allocated for my exclusive use was just down the hallway.
There's free Wi-Fi of 300MB daily but there was no TV in the room although there was a TV with bad reception in the common area. There's a communal kitchen and they serve a slightly varied breakfast everyday — one morning I was served a fried egg with fruits while another morning I was served pancakes and fruits.
The best thing about Talofa Inn is its staff, they were very helpful in offering information/directions and arranging transportation. They were also extremely polite and friendly.

All of the staff were super hospitable and friendly, always willing to help out! Room is very clean and comfortable with good aircon, hot shower and mini fridge. Plenty of hangers on open shelf which is so helpful. Wifi is limited to 200mb per day. Location is central too and just opposite a supermarket! They pretty much aced a budget accomodation in this city! Very memorable stay with them.

Good location in central Apia. Staff is very friendly and helpful! I asked several questions, and they were always good with the answers. I asked about a tour of the island, and they contacted a driver/guide to take me. Rented a car from them as well — price was discounted and therefore cheaper than I could have gotten on my own.
Room was adequate. Bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. A/C kept the room plenty cool. Breakfast in the mornings was always with a smile — it was mainly fruits, and each day they had something different to go with the fruit. Not a fancy breakfast at all, but standard for the culture.
Taxi stand and grocery store directly across the street were very convenient.
