Located in the heart of Transylvania, Ensana Sovata is only 200 metres from the helio-thermal Lake Bear, featuring salty water. It offers free Wi-Fi and a breakfast buffet. A free ticket to the Lake Bear is provided in July and August. Lake Bear (Lacu Ursu), the only helio-thermal lake on the continent, heats up to 50 degrees Celsius due to sun energy absorbed through the upper, fresh-water layers. It is also called the Dead Sea of Transylvania because of its high concentration of dissolved salts.

Hotel rooms need renovation. Bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was poor. Overall clean hotel. Staff is not customer oriented at all. Robes and towels were damaged. Spa os nice especially the salted water and the massages.
Ser ser gut. Very good. Foarte bun! Will come back next year.

Somehow you got stuck here in communism. Unfriendly staff, very dirty, very Russian (see photos), kitchen is only available until 20:00, the food is manageable and takes some getting used to. Unfortunately not a place to which I will gladly return.
