Wonderful
Discover Bucharest with a strategically situated lodging, Budapest Residence. Situated 2 kilometers from the city’s core, the apartment provides an accessible base for exploring the metropolis. This option offers a carefully considered balance between affordability and a well-connected position within a vibrant urban environment.
I stayed at this property for a week during a recent visit to Bucharest and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
The apartment was located on the first floor, with people frequently sitting directly outside the windows. Since there were no light-filtering curtains, I had to choose between privacy and natural light. The apartment also felt damp when the windows remained closed. The condition of the unit did not match my expectations: there were marks on the walls, cabinet doors that were loose or misaligned, and the overall interior felt worn and poorly maintained.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. During my stay, I encountered a cockroach, spiders, spider webs, and mosquitoes. I also noticed hair on the bathroom walls and furniture that did not appear properly cleaned. The toiletries provided for a week-long stay were extremely limited and of poor quality.
The main advantages were the convenient location near the metro and several beautiful parks, making it easy to get around the city. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep and spend very little time in the apartment, you may find it acceptable. However, based on the condition and cleanliness of the property, I would not choose to stay here again.
