That is only one Romanian hotel who does not care about its reputation and keeping paid by customers money without performing services. They are laughing when we call to them! That is tricky hotel. They do not understand people who paid money but due to Convid19 are unable to come. The management is afraid of their capitals but not reputation. They are collecting profits when people are ill and has grief! It will pay back!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful service, greatest beds. There is absolutely no reason to stay anywhere else!

Poor poor service. NOT recommended at all. 2 stars would be more than enough for this “boutique “ hotel. Where shall I start? Leaking bathrooms, hairs on the bed sheets, wrinkles, which obviously someone (staff or other customers and they don’t bother changing them?!? ) slept on them, hairs in the bathroom, on the floor. I did ask to change rooms next day, because of the leak and I ended up in another tiny tiny tiny room with dirty bedsheets… Breakfast, well, if you’re on a diet or you’re not a coffee lover, this is the place for you, because it’s pretty hard to find anything decent here, otherwise, save your money and go somewhere else even if the breakfast is not included. They hardly have any staff (wonder why) and during breakfast there is a waitress who’s never there if you dare to ask for a coffee. It’s so not worth it. I paid too much for this “4 stars” hotel to just let it go like this. I just don’t want anyone to get trapped in this like I did, because of the good reviews. How did they end up with that high ratings, beats me.

Wonderful building, decorated with taste. Service and breakfast however have not reached European standards yet.

I can't remember ever being so overwhelmed by a hotel. Once you walk up the stairs into the reception you are swept away to a bygone time of opulence and grandeur. Yes the floor creaks when you walk on it. But so would you if you were 100years old. The staff are friendly and professional. The breakfast is a mix of standard fayre and traditional Romanian. The rooms (and we've seen 3) range from fabulous to stunning. If we could give this hotel 6 stars we would. And if we ever come back to Romania we'll stay here again.

We were invited by friends for an event. Hotel "Grand epoque" impressive. I couldn't do a great Uauuuu when I discovered the hotel. Will gladly recommend.

Jaw dropping hotel so full of history I never want too leave.

Amazing place if you are lot to go back in time however I prefer the "smaller brother" hotel since it a bit more intimate and that is the only reason I give it only four.

Beautiful location to stay in Bucharest historical building with wooden floors and ceiling very nice furniture marble bathrooms with all the conforts, old times atmosphere the best experience in Eastern Europe.

What an awesome Hotel, it was a pleasure to stay here. We had the Queens Room and felt like King and Queen. When I go to Bukarest next time this will be the Hotel of my choise.

We had a great two night stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is both beautiful and charming in a centrally convenient location. We experienced live music in their front yard with delicious wine and great food. We hope to visit again and can only recommend it to others.

We stayed here for one night, which wasn't long enough! It is a very fancy, regal hotel and the staff were very kind to us. We had dinner in the courtyard which was very romantic, especially with the saxophonist playing. I only saw one other guest and it didn't seem very busy. The room had everything we needed. A shame we couldn't stay longer to get to know the place better and explore Bucharest.

Stunning! I'm in love with this place, especially with room 20 called Grand Manor. It's amazing! The food is very good and tasty, the stuff is very organised and polite they help you with all you need. The lobby, garden and all from this hotel is speechless. I recomand it! Specially for people who have vintage tastes.

A nice small boutique hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Large high ceilinged rooms. Breakfast was good not great. Sound proofing could have been a little better.

Spectacular fairytale hotel. Originally it was a house of a Greek banker, now his grandchildren have rented it with original furniture for the hotel. Service, cleanliness, food, and excellent care. Next to the center, highly recommended!

Small Hotel very clean, good Internet connection and nice bed as well as air conditioning!

Wonderful boutique hotel! The rooms are enormous and updated with modern amenities, and the breakfast is out of this world. There are the coolest touches, such as candy dishes in the rooms and in the public areas. The chair rails, wainscoting, coffered ceilings and hardwood floors were painstakingly restored. At breakfast, made to order omelets, fresh homemade breads, jams, meats and cheeses were delicious. When my wife and I checked in at a late hour, we were offered a welcome drink and sat in the garden listening to a live sax player entertaining the dinner crowd. Just like its sister hotel Scala, the Grand is one of our favorite European hotels.

What a beautiful palace — apparently even designed to host the Romanian Royal family! Rooms are spacious, bathrooms top-notch with marble. Everything in the decorations is tastefully chosen, you really feel like being back in 1890s Bucharest. Beautiful garden and tucked-away bar to have a coffee or read a book. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the breakfast was very good and diverse as well. We are really impressed, also by the moderate room prices for this ambience.

Interesting place, I think it used to be an old villa of a rich guys.

I stayed three days in that hotel and overall experience was great. I really felt like in a palace with high ceilings, antique furniture and very kind personnel. It was a joy to sit in that room and read a book. The location is very close to the old town and walking is always safe. There is an air conditioner in the room. The only minor issue was the sound isolation. I could hear the steps of people walking in the corridor. Doors don't really help.

Beautiful hotel tucked away on a quiet street, 5 minutes from the old town. Grand and opulent without the associated normal cost. Food was amazing and the staff incredibly helpful. Helped to organise an incredible day trip to Transylvania.

Advantage: Exceptionally nice and reasonably priced rooms, very nice service
Disadvantage: No elevator, no breakfast room
Alternative breakfast can be served in the "Food Concept store" (or something like that) very close on demand (everything the palate desires for small money).
Also recommended: The Italian nun Mia (directly opposite food store)
