AVIOD AVOID AVOID! If you want a full on 'this is where I die/horror movie/trap house' experience then book here. The outside of the block entrance is true post apocalyptic/ghetto vibes and if you like disgusting communal areas full of rubbish, unlit, sections of wall missing, then this is the place for you. We had the added bonus of a homeless person sleeping on the landing who appeared to have been using drugs and was seemingly out of it. You literally couldnt make it up!
I dont hate lifts, but I often prefer the stairs, especially when you are in somewhere that looks like it hasn't been maintained since the 90s. So heading up the stairs is when we discovered the homeless person literally blocking the stairs. We jumped in the dodgy/tiny lift and wished ourselves up to the 15th floor. We got there, and by that time I had decided I wouldn't be riding the lift again. We worked out the appartment as we hadn't been told the number then eventually opened it with with the confusing keys (two keys, two locks, but only one worked on one of the locks) steel, 2 x triple deadbolt door! Apart from a bit of skirting board that had fallen off and the left side of the bed sinking, the apartment looked ok. Whatever the apartment looked like, we couldn't imagine three nights of returning to it via the front entrance/communal area. We made the hard decision to leave (have NEVER walked away from accommodation in our lives before) and try and find an alternative.
