Booked this hostel because it was the cheapest decent option in a central location. I only stayed one night and just needed somewhere to sleep and be out early in the morning. I was really dreading it, because for 10€ you already know it’s not going to be great.
Starting with the positives: the location is excellent, very close to the city centre and overlooking the river. The man at reception was also very friendly.
Despite some worrying reviews about stolen items and rooms not being locked, I was given a code on a piece of paper to access my room. The other girls staying there seemed trustworthy enough. I still kept my belongings close to me, but I didn’t feel unsafe.
The biggest issue was the bed. I was assigned the top bunk and there were no plugs nearby. There was one free plug in the room, but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my phone, ipad or apple watch charging there while I slept. I was exhausted, yet stayed awake longer than I wanted, charging my camera, ipad, phone, apple watch, airpods and power bank one by one because I needed everything fully charged for the next day.
The toilet was another major downside. It was tiny, dirty and smelled bad, especially in the morning. I didn’t shower since I was going home the next day, but I would have personally been quite uncomfortable doing so.
I stayed in an all-girls room and, despite everything, I slept well. No noise issues apart from the occasional snorer, which is pretty normal in hostels. Earplugs helped.

We had a wonderful stay at Antique Hostel, the location was excellent (close to all the bars, restaurants and sights in the old town). We were greeted by Filip at the reception who was very helpful, friendly and funny. Best of all was our room (private double room) with a view on the beautiful Bucharest Court of Appeal building and the river. The room was large and clean, there is a shared kitchen which is equipped with the necessities. The hostel is a 4 minute walk from the bus stop that goes to Otopeni airport. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect location short walk from airport bus 100 station and Metro. Situated at foot of old city with its many wonders and restaurants and bars.
Friendly staff. Fair price. Slightly worn facilities, but a good selection of bathrooms available no matter what floor your room is in. Somewhat cold — but the whole city was cold this time of year.
Stayed in mixed dorm, 8 beds. Solid wooden beds and that is one top priority for me as metal beds are often noisy. But, no bed lamps/reading lights — and when people sleep in various times of the day you are basically living in darkness. Also no curtains for privacy, no lockers for backpack/luggade and only metal lockers for 6 out of 8 beds… with three digit code… I prefere wood that is less noicy. Plenty of room under the beds for such lockable installations. Would also like something to hang wet clothes/towels on.
Modern beeping and talking (! ) digital lock keeps you awake when people are in and out for nightly tasks or tries repeatedly to open the door missing out on their own room.
I would stay again; Nice people and location. Would be easy and not very expensive for the place to upgrade the dorm facilities as I have described here.

Good location, on a very quiet but central street, very friendly staff, single room is simple but comfortable with a very clean bathroom. Quiet and peaceful. Everything was great.

Such a incredible hotel! We accomadated in march. Weather was so cold but hotels inside was hot it was perfect. Rooms have magnificent view. Everything is sufficient and beautiful. Receptionists helped us in everyway. They recommended us restaurants, told about city, places airport. They are really cheerful, kind, smiling and helpful. Rooms are pretty clear and large enough. Also, hotel's inside is clear and neat. All crew are very good. We like there a lot and planning to accomodate again! Thanks for everything.

At first it looks nice and clean, but we managed to collect some bad bugs from there. So maybe you sleep there for a cheap price but than you need to pay the triple price to get an expert cleaner, because these small animals can ruin your mental health and hard to say goodbye from them! So better not go there!

It was horrible. The bed is not comfertable, the aircondition is old and not working well, no warm water for shower. And above all — the attitude for the guests is rude.

Not impressed. The place deserves some refurbishment. The host doesn't communicate in English. At first she was very rude but then she warmed up to us. It's 30mins by walk away from old town. Location is quiet. The bed was very uncomfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are very bare. The kitchen was very unclean, we felt very uncomfortable heating up water to make a cup of coffee. When people were smoking in the terrace we had to close our bedroom window. It's very cheap but it's super basic.

Great stay! This is an excellent accommodation, comfortable, kind staff, clean and nice rooms. The price also is very attractive for this quality. Thank you!

Disgusting. We arrived and had around 10 cockroaches of different sizes in the room. Don't trust the Fotos and the Good ratings. The place and the area are not nice.

For the price, it makes for a reasonable hostel to spend a few days. It was kept very clean — the sheets, the toilet and the premises.
It’s a small hostel but you get everything you need there. There are only two rooms in fact. There’s a vending machine inside and a lovely sitting area in the premises. You’re allowed to use your card during check-in, which was quite smooth.
It was a little bit hard to find the hostel because of the location. But once you go out of the street, it leads you to a major road where you can find many things. There’s also a bus stop close to the hostel.

Arrived yesterday afternoon. The location is a bit hidden in the neighborhood of Filantropia Hospital. Friendly staff and clean room. It was recently renovated. Some small malfunction in the bathroom and the locker to the terrace, but all in all it is worth the price.

The good parts about it are the location, as it is very close to Victoriei Square, the price, and the fact that no one is bothering you while you're hanging around on the terrace or in your room. On the other hand, even though it was just renovated, the hostel was dirty. The walls are really thin so you can hear almost everything that's happening in the hallway. Also, we found roaches both in our room and in the bathroom, which appeared to be cleaned once every two days. You never knew who was working there because only seldomly you found someone at the front desk. We booked a twin room and got a room for three people and the bed was squeaking each time you moved in it.
