LOVED the Malecon House! It was perfect!

We just returned from an amazing week at Malecon House which exceeded our expectations. Our room faced the ocean and was perfect. It was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the lovely pool with waterfalls was a great way to end a day at the beach. No request or question was too much trouble for the staff at Malecon House, providing us with beach chairs, umbrellas and ice filled coolers each morning. We felt so well taken care of and their white glove service is unmatched anywhere we have stayed before.

We had an amazing trip! The Malecon House was even better than expected. We can’t wait to return. Walking distance and wonderful staff! Loved it!

The Malecon House was the nicest place on the Island. The service from the staff was the best I have ever received at a Hotel. I would highly recommend staying here. They were incredible. The rooms were very clean. Kristy, the manager, was so awesome and so helpful in every way. She definitely went the extra mile to make our trip perfect. Did I mention the great staff and service? I'd give them 5 out of 5 stars. 😀 And Tyson is the bomb. He let us rent his vehicle while on the Island cause all rentals were gone. He was amazing and doesn't even work for Malecon House.

Had an incredible time in Vieques thanks to the phenomenal staff of Malecon House. Shout out to Nicki and Kristi who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and set us up with rides, excursions, etc. Anything we needed, they got for us. Another shout out to Tyson who shuttled us around became our best island buddy :) About staying here:
They have coolers, beach chairs, snorkels, umbrellas, whatever you need for a day at the beach. There's a beach swing right across the street (sunset photo! ) Restaurants and a grocery store within a half mile. Sugar Cane Pier down the street for a nice dive into crystal blue water. Sun Bay is a walkable go-to beach. Hot Tip: Rent a golf cart to get yourself around the island. We didn't do this, but it was a blessing because we got to chill with Tyson. Bonus for some people: Opportunity to totally disconnect. Limited cell service and Wifi availability throughout the island. No one is walking and texting here, lol.

We loved our stay. Great people, quiet location and terrific amenities which allowed us to fully enjoy Vieques.

This is a mini resort kind of resort. It is beautifully landscaped with a peaceful waterfall pool, rooftop seating to view sunsets and sunrises, breakfast on the terrace. The rooms are spotless, decorated beautifully. The staff is friendly and helpful. We are steps from the beach and located by several delicious restaurants. We are also close to the pick up spot for a biopsy tour.

Marybeth, Sarah, and Carmen were behind helpful every day. The property is gorgeous. We can't wait to go back.

Malecon House is an absolute gem! The property is beautiful, the staff terrific and the room was stunning. My husband & I visited in November 2019 for our honeymoon. We loved everything about Vieques and it is clear the Malecon House is the best boutique accommodations on the island. We stayed in room 11 & enjoyed views of the Carribean Sea from both the four-poster bed and our private patio. The entire property was impeccably clean and each day we can back to a spotless room. There were also tons of awesome extra amenities — such as an 'honor bar' where you could purchase drinks and snacks 24 hours a day, a glorious pool that was perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach, laundry service and tons of towels/beach gear to use. Each and every staff member we came into contact with was truly lovely. Though it was technically off-season, there were still plenty of restaurants open (without the crowds & with more opening every night of our 4-night stay) and the weather was perfect. I highly recommend staying here!

So happy we had a chance to stay at this beautiful hotel during our nephew’s wedding. Fred and stag were AMAZING.

Just stayed there for 4 days. Cannot begin to tell you how great of a time we had. Our room was absolutely spotless. Incredible location and the hotel staff were so helpful. Just an amazing experience that we will never forget. Hope to come back soon!

Our 3 days on Vieques were amazing! We owe much of it to the knowledge and hospitality of the hosts, Hayley and Lenny. Moreover, they went way out of their way to make our 20th Wedding Anniversary even more special. We were greeted with Champayne in our room… and Hayley worked a miracle to obtain a really special cake with flowers. I plan to write more about the hotel… here and Trip Advisor. Bottom Line, Vieques was everything we dream about… and more. The beaches are 2nd to none. And I would say, without reservation, that the Malecon House in South Vieques is probably the best on the Island! Many Thanks!

My husband and I spent a 4 days in Malecón House and absolutely loved it! Our room was nice, clean, and had a big balcony. We rented an off road golf cart and drove around exploring the amazing beaches of Vieques. Staff members at Malecón House were very friendly and recommended several of the restaurants in the Esperanza area. Continental breakfast was available from 8:00am-10:00am. We’d definitely go back!

I stayed at El Maecon House in June and it was an awesome experience which will be repeated. Colette is the hotel manager and she was so helpful and pleasant. The hotel is equipped with everything you could possibly need for the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, coolers and even ice. The rooms were super clean and Sunbay beach was in close proximity to the hotel. I definitely recommend staying at this location!

Excellent place to stay in the Esperanza neighborhood of Vieques. Clean and upscale rooms with balconies, refrigerators and AC. Continental breakfast is served every morning with your stay. Colette, the manager, is amazing. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. This property is in walking distance of four restaurants and the beach. Duffy's and Banana's were my favorite.

It is a pretty little hotel, with a wonderful sea view, but the best is its cleanest and the employees are amazing. The manager putz all her efforts to please every guest. I recommend Malecon House to every one who wants to stay in the better place at La Esperanza.

My wife and I had an incredible stay at Malecón House. It’s simplistic but refreshing, with just what you need. The owner Fred was very nice and gave us all his best tips for the area. It’s 5 stars on here for a reason. A must stay!

Our stay here was fabulous. Every morning you are provided with an assortment of baked goods, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. They don't hesitate to help you with tasks like finding a rental car, taxi or a good local spot to eat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if/when we return to Vieques. And there is not a shortage of gorgeous beaches to go to nearby. At times you might be the only one out there too. Who doesn't love a secluded Caribbean beach?

Beautiful place to stay in Esperanza and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vieques. The staff were awesome, delicious and healthy breakfast every morning, everything you need for the beach is provided. The owners, Fred and Tammy were so accommodating. They were great with my 3 year old son, he couldn't wait to see them every morning at breakfast. My family really enjoyed every minute and can't wait to come back again!

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful 4 days at The Malecon House. The rooms were immaculately clean and the beds were so comfortable, I may order one for home! The breakfast each morning was plentiful and a nice opportunity to meet and talk to other guests over cofee. The hotel provides sunscreen and bug spray, beach chairs, towels, coolers and beach toys. I have some serious food allergies and was surprised to find that all food at breakfast was nut free and the staff was more than happy to accomodate by substituting. The proprietors, Fred and Tammy, and the rest of the staff (especially Robin) were very friendly and helpful in reccomending places to eat and places we might want to visit. Malecon House is truly special and we are already thinking ahead to our next trip!

Fabulous place to stay. Close to restaurants, nightlife. Beautiful views. Relaxing saltwater pool. Great staff. Stayed there with our teenage daughters — was perfect. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

The Malecon House is the perfect place to stay in Esperanza. We absolutely loved our time there and appreciated all of the amenities included with our room rate from the beach towels to the continental breakfast. The room was exceptionally clean and designed with all of a guest's needs in mind. Not only were the accommodations exceptional, but the staff, especially the general manager, Daphne, were all welcoming and friendly. This hotel has a lovely friendly and relaxing vibe that our family of four (including two teenagers) felt welcome and was able to decompress quickly. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant on site but there are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance and we had fantastic food at all of them (Bananas, Duffy's, Lazy Jacks, and Tradewinds). It's location is perfect for exploring all of the beautiful beaches on the southern coast of Vieques or just for enjoying the lovely view of the Malecon.
