300 dollars a night for a 1950 room, slow service, they remodeled one building and the other one has stinky carpets and awful bathrooms CHARGE THE SAME PRICE for both buildings NOT FAIR the service here is slow in every restaurant and bar. Still staying here HATING IT SO MUCH I rather be at home for this. You come here to be treated, VACATIONS not to be complaining and being charged over for bad service.

Vacationing without the right to the pool
I want to bring to the attention of those who do domestic tourism, so that together we finish with the abuse that has the Hostelry of “Mayagüez Resort & Casino”. It turns out that I stayed in those facilities with my family, the days from 18 to 20 July. I paid with credit card. On the 19th of July my daughter came to join us and enjoy the facilities of the pool and I had to pay $22.38 for ell… to be able to come to you use it. When we went to the pool area almost all the tables gazebos were occupied. There were only a few tables indoors that were not occupied. We went in and sat down, and deal with three chairs and table. Not spent five minutes when it came to an employee of the inn and forced us to go out, because those tables were reserved for the other people that were not guest of the hotel, and were participating in a special event, I know because of the color of their ribbons in the hand was different from us. We pay to use the facilities of the pool area and that was included in the $434.00 paid at the time of check out. I made my claim, but still charged us as if we had all enjoyed the use of the pool. Not gave me anything. That is an armed robbery. The agency of tourism and the Department of the Treasury should intervene by that theft, charging for facilities that cannot be used because the hostel gives priority to those who booked separately.

Excellent rooms! (new tower). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals, breakfast, lunches and dinners are all skiing. Clean-up immaculate. I want to go back

El hotel necesita que lo mantengan, tiene un edificio completamente nuevo que está en perfectas condiciones, pero el edificio más antiguo está despintado y se ve en mal estado. El personal en general es bastante agradable, excepto en la recepción en el momento de hacer "Check-in" no tenían nuestras reservaciones a pesar de que se hicieron y confirmaron dos meses con anticipación de haber sido nosotros los que no fuimos nos hubiesen cobrado por cancelar. También terminaron añadiendo cargos adicionales por noche. De no haber sido por que lo demás fue bueno está reseña hubiese tenido 1 estrella.

It was a super fun experience, the reception staff very attentive and responsible,. The pool area very, very clean and neat. The food was very tasty and the price was very good. Finally an excellent experience. I recommend this place to%

The pool area is great! Great for kids and adults also lots of differnent features.

Once you enter you don't have to go out to anything. Good prices in food and snacks. The room was clean and we were allowed to make checkin ahead of time.

Beautiful view — we didn't stay just ate at the Green Flash poolside bar. Fish tacos were yummy. Servers were very nice.

I was there as a guest in a conference room in the restaurant. They had a buffer with a great rascal and a meat. I still taste how good those dishes were.

Check in and check out terrible long lines and little staff. The row for the check out all 1 hr. The good pool and the rooms of the new tower OK.

I'm staying right now. The service is Pesimo. Breakfast is no good at all. I ask the manager the PQ. At the buffet there is no ham and me. Advises. That breakfast is for protein. That if I want ham is a separate cost. That they have the Italian sausage. I ended up having breakfast outside the hotel. In the pool area it was the same with the food. Face and bad. I do not return aquedarme and I will never recommend it. For me they have 0. Unfortunately that's why people go abroad to vacation.

I had such an unpleasant experience. I came here to have a nice time with my friends and family. First of all I tried buying a pizza and I couldn’t cause the while team was going on a break. So we had to wait a whole hour to be able to eat something. Afterwards I tried telling the staff that the jacuzzi wasn’t working and they told me that they where going to check what they could do about it. (not solving my issue) I tried telling another staff about it and he told me that the sun could take care of the problem of heating the jacuzzi. I tried going to the manager of the hotel, and he didn’t want to take care of the problem. So unfortunately I didn’t have a good time.

Super goodbye the year here and was very good service and its rooms are excellent.

I shared with my friends on the day of love and friendship. The food was excellent in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Don't stay in the Main Tower. Rooms are very old and haven't been updated. My sink was leaking and the shower didn't maintain the hot water running. The tub floor also had a corrosion stain from the water. There was hair everywhere in the room. We tried to book the Sky tower but there weren't rooms available. The service at the restaurant was extremely slow, even when the hotel was hosting a big event. Won't be staying in this property in the future.

Great facility for university recruiting event, although space was somewhat tight. Supplied lunch buffet was very good.

Every time I visit my parents in Puerto Rico I always make it a point to visit Mayagüez Resort and Casino. Mostly just to play at the casino. Sometimes I win big and sometimes I win just enough to keep playing the slots. The staff is awesome and very attentive. Some nights they have live music and crazy giveaways. I absolutely love it!

The food at the hotel is really expensive and the it's usually not very good. The Wi-Fi is patchy and unreliable. It smells a bit like a hospital. The only real upsides were the beds (they're very comfortable), and the staff. Almost all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar tending staff was exceptionally nice, but drinks at the bar are way over priced outside of happy hour.

Rooms in the old part to improve… restaurant dear x what it offers.

Some areas were affected by Hurricane Maria. They are working hard to get back up to speed. Friendly staff, helpful. Buffets were okay, but not great.

Very nice place and very good attention is passed very well, it is cozy.

Two people from my family separate room for the year farewell and three of US buy activity tickets for 100 dollars apiece. They put Us on separate tables and the deal was hostile. We Don't go back and we Don't recommend it either.

Poor customer service. Restaurant food is really bad, take too long for service and most of the time the food was cold. The rooms with mold, old carpets, dust, courtains with holes, damaged furniture, some times the door looks dont work. River pool is closed. With all this they charge for the room like a 4 start hotel. Really expensive for what you receive. I stay for over 5 weeks, working reasons. Honestly except for 2 employees, a really bad experience. All my coworkers, include me, are sick with alergies. Left 2 days ago and I feel much much better.

The hotel was not bad but the treatment and courtesy at the restaurant was terrible. The experience made the stay bad.

Good Accommodations, Food and Great Service. All of the Personnel that I came across was very professional and helpful.

I stayed at the hotel for Hurricane Maria. The resort was closed, so I stayed in the other building. The room is small with old beds, yellow matres and hollow end with back pain, in the bathroom had mushroom and the toilet was like the public. I'm left alone for one night. When I checked out I always check under the beds to verify that there was something left and found rubbish under the cabinet that was enough to say that I did not like the stay. I wouldn't recommend it unless you go to the resort.

A little pricey for a 3 star hotel. The service is so-so depending on the day. The fitness center is really small but at least they have it. The restaurant sometimes is amazing and sometimes is horrible. But the star of the show is the pool which have water slides and a lazy river. Its an inconsistent hotel but the pool might be a selling point for you.

I would not recomend this hotel. Big name but poor service, no activities, nothing to do just be in the room. Not even a nice entranceto the hotel. I came from NY and will not come back here. Better off another hotel.

The place is clean. The restaurant has limited menu and it's kind of hi on prices even though there isn't much to choose from. The casino was closed. To park your vehicle, good luck. You might need to walk a long way with your stuff. At least the personal working there were kind and helpful. The room was good and well taken care of. Pools were in good condition.

Great family hotel. I have two girls and they really enjoy the pool area. The food at the pool not so great, on the other hand the restaurant atvthe resort is fabulous.

We checked in this evening after driving over two hours from Toa Alta. Worst "Resort" I have been in. Started from the minute we walked into the wing that had our rooms, hallway smelled like old mildew and cigarette smoke. Walked into the room and it was another disappointment, very old, reminded me of outdated Army housing, especially the bathroom. If we had not been so tired, we would have booked another hotel and just left. The whole hotel is centered around the water park and casino. Rooms are everything short of putting it at a resort level. I even looked at my wife and said, this reminds me of a "f**k" hotel and yes, that's how old the rooms are. If you travel to this area, especially with family. Do not stay here, go somewhere else. Might even check out early and go somewhere else tomorrow because that's how disappointing we are and we came with 8 people, my in laws and 4 kids. DO NOT think that this is a resort because it's a motel six with and pool on steroids and a casino.

It is a place very cozy and very well decorated. It has good parking and is right in the center.

The Restaurant is not very good. The employees are friendly. The hotel rooms very outdated and the bathrooms in poor condition with the keys of the shower, warm water only, and is cooled quickly.

The room that I was assigned was awful seemed to be a cobacha of frets old, everything was deteriorated and broken, in the mirror of the bathroom just I could see, all stained, I had to fight with the door to open it, and the internet never came. At least the staff, the pools and the restaurant are excellent.

I will never come here again. Horrible customer service, staff has a attidude problem every time you asked for help, food rotten, long lines, sort staffed! Read my story below if you like but this is the sweet short version. Not worth the 40 dollars for the park. So I travel a lot around the United States and Puerto Rico. It was my first time visiting the Resort and Casino and it will be the last. Let me go by saying that Im not a picky person and I understand things are not always perfect. Things happen at hotels that is sometimes unstoppable. Many of things that I saw issues with were stoppable. From the moment we arrived we had issues. We tried valeting our vehicle but unfortunately there valet guy went to lunch. So we sat 10 mins in our car before having someone come speak to us. The man then informed us that he was the only one there to give him 5 minutes and he would be back. Well we waited another 10 minutes then finally got our car valet. Then we went ahead to buy the daily rate ticket for the pool area. There was another wait and the line was out the door. I mean it was only Tuesday. I can only imagine how it is in there on a Friday. I waited another 25 minutes to get my ticket. We get downstairs to the area of the pool. There is no seating any where and it was extremely packed already. We decided to get a locker to place our belongings. I had asked before getting into the line if there were lockers their reply was "Yes".

I will start to say that it was the worst ever experience I have had, First and most important No Security at all when we did check in the recetionist did not indicate where was the room just said you good to go we wnt to the main bldng and it was the new tower and as a single mom we had to walk and there was a tecnician he walk us and told you are in the wron room, I get to the room Waoooo nice room sure the basement and then no peep holes in the door, no lacht so if room service knocks on your door you cant see if its them or your going to be assaulted, no way to tell and I called and ofcourse afther a few hours I was transfer to the old tower wich was not any better, not clean at all, Glass shatter in a desk and I call and yes they did come and took care of it, I call several times and to get thru it was a mission. My cousin fell going down to the pool area (Yes you have warning signs) but you didnt have no one screening the people if they have the braceletts therefor mo one approach to see if she was ok ofcourse I called no reply. Im thankfull to Three staff members that really have Great Costumer Service and really know what they are doing, Rebeca in Sales (awesome) Rosa aswell Great she was Great and Rafael Cantillo he has great costumer skills and should be in another position, was very helpfull and caring.

Awful service awful, only the boys at the valet parking are the only very friendly (all of) my nightmare began when the room is a ascoooooo, what a pity that charge tannnnn expensive for a poor service and rooms in a poor state.

The best hotel in the west for a family getaway in the summer has a new tower near the area of the pool, has a water park that contains a jacuzzi, 3 swimming pools including one for children, a slide and river pool (rio loco) on the other part of the hotel has the restaurant the castle, with several offerings of both breakfast and lunch, on the other hand has a SPA and a fitness centre, only minutes in car mobile is accessible to several restaurants, fast food, walgreens pharmacy, commercial center mayaguez mall etc,

Rooms need update, however everthing else is excellent… is a great hotel.

Can't give it 5 stars, where I was the bathrooms are outdated and uncomfortable showers. Else was good, the treatment of employees towards our guests and excellent cleaning it is recommended.

I was on two occasions and very very good the pool is unique in Puerto Rico.

It is very good breakfast is very good and the pools are not mention is guillaron are brutal and at night the Olympic pool turns of colored lights my room had a good view of the coast and not worry about the alarm clocks because your get up automatically with the music of the jumbo water park bosinas me charm they recommend.

I've gone to several hotels until I went to the Mayagüez resort, the fourth have evil smell stinks just the toilet ceiling leaks service is bad, is too expensive in the night of san juan announced that there was activity at the pool and page was to pay extra and have not yielded any activity do not recommend nor for escampar a downpour.

I had a very bad experience, muy mala experiencia. This hotel is filthy, estaba sucio, Don't get excited cause of the pictures, no se asombren por las fotos the rooms very small curators muy pequenos furniture like 50 years old muebles y cama de los 1960 the mattresses OMG the worst in the world with bed bugs and old as hell all bent and stained. The curtains ripped with holes and stained los mattress todos doblados viejos y con chinchas Las cortinas rotas I regreted spending 900 tin Dec 2013 the food was not included only the night of the 31 was Me arrepiento pagar 900 dolares por 2 dias para despedir el 2013 y la comida no incluida solo el 31 de Dic en la noche The service is poor El servicio es bien pobre Please don't go to this resort is not a resort is a nightmare with that kind of money go on a cruise with all the food included and the shows no vayan a este resort es una pesadilla por el dinero que van a pagar vayanse a un crucero con todas las comidas incluidas y los shows.

An excellent hotel, facilities of five stars. The facilities are excellent. The clean rooms. Recreational areas and swimming pools, Excellent! Simply worth to be here.

Nice place to visit while out in Mayaguez area. They have a nice pool and outdoor patio. It is a quite place. Not much of happening. They can make it more happening though.

I live a few feet away from the resort, which has free parking for casino clients. Yet they choose to park on my property and block my driveway! They come late at night making loud noise waking me up and they are filthy pig. Tossing garbage on my property. If the is life on another planet in a distant galaxy, PLEASE teleport that resort with its disrespectful client there.

Ambiente familiar, excelente area recreativa y river pool.

People and staff very helpful. Was sad to see that some furniture in the rooms are very old. We had lights that didnt work and others that were so old that they looked they were falling apart. The Resort needs upkeep. We Loved the river pool and the water slide and pool but I need to state that the place really needs to be updated to the 21 century. Again, I would make sure to give the staff lots of credit, they were very friendly and courteous. Spend some of the money in room updating PLEASE.

Nice river pool, family oriented. Do keep in mind that is a small property.
