It's been three years since we stayed and we're crazy to come back. It was excellent in every way. We have some beautiful memories in this place.

This place is a very nice, low-key, economical place to stay if you need to visit the middle of nowhere of Puerto Rico. I had a very nice luxury room for a little over $100 a night which I thought was pretty good. The only downfall of the hotel is that they have a tropical Casino in the hotel lobby and there's always a lot of people coming in and out and there's a lot of noise and there is a lot of General commotion in the lobby so if you can get clear of the lobby to make it up to your room; it's much quieter and the accommodations are much better. They also have a very nice Fat Tuesdays bar where you can go to, it's open until 4 a. M. And they have really nice drinks. They also have a pretty decent pool that you can Lounge at if you just decide to stay at the hotel for the afternoon and don't want to go to the town since there's not really much to do in the town.

Good location if you plan to visit beaches on the west side. Rooms are clean, staff are fantastic and very helpful. Close to shopping, gas and food. Plenty of security at the hotel and parking lot. Nice pool area, with kiddie pool. The only thing I'd improve is the pool closing time and lack of a hot tub. The pool closes at 8pm which is very early. I'd like to see it open until 10 pm. We really missed having a hot tub and wondered why they didnt replaced the kiddy pool with one. Otherwise everything was great! We will definitely stay here again! The staff are the best around. :)

We have stayed here 5+ different times while in the area for various reasons and the staff here have been excellent every time. The pool seems nice and the casino has some card tables as well as slots. I like that there is a bar and restaurant here and the bar often has live music and drink specials. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable, and the a/c works well. There are also restaurants nearby as well as a movie theater and Kmart for your traveling needs.

Restaurant cooks delicious variety of lunch and good price. Quiet has bar music casino parking for disabled. Pool.

Loved my stay, the room was nice, the bed was so comfortable and the staff were very nice! I would love to go stay again.

Nice location, clean, and excellent service.

Very nice, bed was comfy, enjoyed the pool. Wasn't impressed with breakfast and we were amused by the handicapped parking marking.

I love to visit this place. It's cozy and its kind people.

I was recently there for 5 days, I was charged $836.00 I got the receipt for $736 and although my bank Wells Fargo made the claim, I did not return the 100 dollars!

This is a Holiday Inn. Several issues stood out to me during our visit. First off the fire escape doors are all locked from the outside with one side of the building exiting into a caged area that remains locked except for employees. The reason I was worried about this is many people get angry after losing their life savings in the attached casino, and may want to do harm, as happened in Vegas a few months back. As for the choices of hotels in this city, despite the issues this place is the best choice.

Actually visited the restaurant in the lobby Heidi I think it is excellent service good food at a fair price.

The place is cozy and super attentive to the attentions. I feel already part of the Holiday Inn of Mayaguez. The food a la carte of the resyaurante is well varied. In the area of the casino there are live music very often and picadera, raffles and many more things. The slot machines are great and they give prizes.

We stopped by for the casino. Parking space is very limited and considering there is a casino at the premises, Holiday Inn should be look into the issue seriously. There is a very high chance of you not getting a park everytime you come. And if you're lucky, you can get a park on the grass on the service road outside the hotel compound. Of course we lost money at the casino!

If you're on vacation, or plan on taking one? This is a very good hotel you may want to consider, staying at while enjoying that precious time off. The prices are right, if you're on a budget… It's on the East coast of the island, away from those tourist traps! Your money will last longer since the prices of things are cheaper here. Check it out? You may end up coming here, and having the time of your life!

The restaurant is first class, simply rich, and the service is top notch.

Service and the staff excellent. Rooms well equiped and comfortable. Definite that we stayed again.

Front desk is great esp. Ashley. Clean rooms and AC is really good. Clean hotel pool is descent. The Casino is a separately run company and they have a nonsensical rule for MEN that you can not enter without certain shoes and a tank top, I am in the legal field and I understand rules. But rules can me flexible too. It was very aggravating having to go to my room after the pool to change to a collar shirt and shoes. Ridiculous in a Caribbean island. I wanted to speak to the manager of the casino several times and he never came out to speak to me. Instead he had his underlings tell me that he was busy and that he would tell me the thing. The fact that he did not wish to speak to me (a paying hotel customer) speaks volumes about the management. Lousy management and service. Holiday Inn please note that the casino in your property for guests was not a pleasant experience. It cost you more stars on this rating.

The Holiday Inn Mayaguez & Tropical Casino its a very nice hotel with a casino beside. The rooms are remodeled. There is a nice pool, too. Kids are welcome. Close to the hotel there is a supermarket, Sams Club, Fridays and Home Depot. In the same area you can find a movie theater and a barber, too. Everything is possible to reach by 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I have been there many times and always feel welcome there. 5 stars for it.

Parking gets difficult at night, especially during the weekend. Not located in a pretty area. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained.

Great service location off highway… they have a wealth of knowledge great casino games and tables … nice pool if you have a family and also and amazing breakfast with cocunut like oatmeal amazing. I love it here… beds are nice and firm great ac room 504

Very good hotel, the rooms were absolutely clean specially the bathroom. The pool so quite nice too. Don't expect a resort type pool with waterslides and a bar in the middle, this one is more like a relaxed type. Our stay included breakfast and it was very good too, specially the french toast and the cheese turnovers. The staff of the hotel we're extremely helpful and kind. There's free parking too. BTW bring a car, there's almost nothing close to it at walking distance, there are no fancy restaurants, stores, beaches or historic sites close by.

Definitely had a great stay here at the Holiday Inn, staff were very polite and helpful. Beds and pillows were very comfortable didn't even want to get up but the breakfast buffet was calling me lol my kids loved the pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We're off to our next adventure here in Puerto Rico ✌✌✌✌✌✌ Puerto Rico lo hace mejor!

Great holiday Inn, best part about it, fat Tuesday!

Definitely needs a refurbishment and I think they are doing that now. Standard hotel, Casino is small. I didn't gamble so that's all I know about the casino. Dining options are limited and walking to nearby dining is easy but somewhat dangerous on a busy highway. Parking was very easy and pool area is well equipped, clean, and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and helpful. My stay was for business and it was perfect for that. I would recommend a location closer to the beach for vacation.

Smoke filled lobby. Service was good but the rooms are old. Would never stay there again + IHG has the worst loyalty program. They asked me how my stay was so posted same review and they removed it.

It is good but in the pizina bathe all types of person, for example:Sigueñas of the street.

Night transforms due wing disc shot fights to radio volume 2 am a5am there is no control.

It is very good hotel. The only problem is q is expensive. It is downtown and at night is filled the parking lot x casino.
