Very nice and clean place, Renato as a host is a bit strange at the beginning but afterwards you will appreciate his rules. 10e per person with your own tent.

We arrived at Ponta Delgada at 7pm and for a misunderstanding we couldn't have the rental car. We wanted to go to the camping of Sete Cidades, but when not having the car we decided to ask at the tourist office which campsite was closest to Ponta Delgada to be able to go by taxi. Upon arriving there (at 8pm) we found a door closed and at the same time a car came in, we asked that if we could enter and with a panic face they tells us that we haven't go in with them. It that Mr. Renato from the reception received the I would reny, that when we enter we would explain more to you. We call the bell and he replies that more tickets are no longer admitted if it is not reserved. At the door, it says that reception hours are from 10:00 a. M. To 10:00 p. M. We ask you, please, that we do not have where to sleep and that they have sent us from the tourist office and they have told us that it was open. Renato is not very polite, he only knows that it is impossible to enter those hours without reservation. After reading the articles of other travelers, we are very clear that this site is like a prison, and is run by a maniac. Do not go to this campsite, please.

Nice place to stay. The owner has his preferences, after you listen to his rules for an hour he is a very nice person and very helpful.

One of the nicest campsites ever. The owner, Renato, is a little unique, but when you have done the "briefing" (about one hour long) and when you follow his rules (don't "kind of" follow the rules, you have to REALLY follow the rules), then this place becomes your home. Renato will take care of nearly every need you have, or at least he gives you a solution, if he can't take care of it. Starting from "Renato, my car broke down, what should I do? " to "Renato, we really need some wine now". The place is reasonably clean and priced and has everything a camper could wish for. Just bring your own toilet paper!

We had No reservation. The owner let us in with the condition of staying more than one night, without the right to use the kitchen. Lluvió and there is no cover in the whole "camping". It's located in your house. Finally, after insisting we were able to use the kitchen only one night. Facilities 4/5, cleaning 2/5, dirty bathrooms and no toilet paper.
As for the owner. A special character. Who decides whether you stay or not is the instead of the customer. Long introduction (1 hour of sheet metal). If you are late it is not recommended and under any circumstances enter the "camping" without your permission.
Authoritarian, rude and with little people. We will not return and hope it serves to reflect.

Avoid by all means. I mean even in case there is no other accommodation available on the island, and you are literally falling asleep, find a way to go to the airport and buy a ticket somewhere nice, but do not stay there. I think the owner had his hospitality training in a nazi camp.

We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights and mostly because this is a really well equipped and clean place with kitchen, electricity and hot water 24/7, laundry place, barbecue place etc. It is a private campsite and it is owned by Mr. Renato, who likes to meet each guest in person and explain the rules for each of every guests. Because of that, everything is well organized, clean and the place is very peaceful, away from the city bustle. There is also an indoor kitchen, which is very useful if you want to prepare some hot meals. Just be careful, it is less risky to make a reservation before, because it can be crowded, so it that case you will be not able to use the refrigerator and there will be no place for you in kitchen's storage. The reception is open from 18.00 and 00.00, so if you will come earlier, you will have to wait in front of the doors. Just one more important thing — bring your own toilet paper, in the case, you will be in trouble.

The owner is a bigot, he clearly lacks any social skills, he changes his mood abruptly, or even violently I'd say. He's crazy and made me and my friends feel scared and unwelcome. Was happy to leave this place, he's insane and ugly : (.

This is an excellent place to stay on Sao Miguel. The owner has taken into account everything that travellers need, from a well equipped kitchen to a good library of books on the area and information on local attractions. Well kept and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

This camping is amazing! I recommend it to people who wants a place surrounded by nature and peace. You feel like at home and Renato is very cool. I also suggest you try the floating tent ;)

Best camping ever! Loads of facilities, beautiful location, wide, as bio as possible and a really lovely owner! Renato helped us a lot! I recommend this camping to every single person who is interested to camp on Sao Miguel!

A very NEGATIVE experience after the owner gets thrown into a very unjustified fit of rage when we are about to leave and left the door open for another family and their little kids to enter. The owner, named renato I believe, screamed at us telling us not to do that ever again… Leaving the door open for another family… Well thats what we will do: NEVER camp there again, EVER!. The owner is a rude person, almost bipolar. The place is nice but is need much more care for the fauna, and atend to the grass, it seems it has had its golden age and is now very decaying it looks almost like an abandoned place. You are much better served with wild camping or by the beatiful azorean beaches! My experience was totally ruined by the owner attitude just as we were leaving. Save your money and enjoy azores beautiful island in a better place! PS. : the family we allowed to enter, left as soon as they heard the owner raging… this is the truth by my experience.

An exceptional parking, with many different concepts — you can use your tent, use one of the pre-mounted ones or even a bungalow. Showers, kitchen, Wi-Fi, all is here. The staff is fun, helpful and always available to help with any need you may have.

You are the best Renato. The best campin world. And the most beautiful island that exists in this world. Renato is wonderful I unique. You meresres the best because we are treated very, very well. We love you and the personasmas maravillosad that we have known. We miss you to you to your amigoss and that island that is the paradise. You are the best Renato we miss you.

Well thought-out camping site with everything you need. Unfortunately, he is located in a residential area and is therefore not very quiet.
