It's an amazing place. A beautiful palace that today is a hotel that has a restaurant. Despite this you can enter freely and stroll through the gardens, although it is ok to consume a coffee or a Coca-Cola so that leaving it open remains an option. From the outside, the doors of the wall and the interior of the palace are very nice. But the most incredible thing is to go out to the gardens, arranged on terraces, with lush decoration, native vegetation and typical Portuguese tiles. A real beauty.

Gorgeous grounds-a restored palace. Staff was not very helpful (did not help with bags and was unhelpful in planning restaurants). Breakfast was basic. Free underground parking was a great perk. Estói is a bit hard to navigate in winding streets and not centrally located but a good option away from the hustle and bustle of town if you have access to a car.

The service is from 3 stars to be generous. Nothing but 5 stars. You arrive and have at the entrance a total confusion with abandoned vacuum cleaners and in a little while they ask you to bring the suitcases of the other customers. In addition to having to take yours for 3 floors. Only level thing?. The pool!. Poetry equal to zero.
By the way we arrived well after check-in time and they hadn't even put the beds for the two girls. The beds only placed in the late afternoon are humble low-level pension cots!
Maybe people give good judgment because they are not used to attending the real Five stars!

It's worth staying at this hotel for a long time and you can explore the splendid view of the entire city the rooms are extravagant and each floor has a lobby which is well equipped with the latest technology. The swimming pool has its own beauty with the mountainous views. The structure is actually established from a palace which also has a perspective of photography. There two huge and lavishly decorated gardens and the palace rooms are adorned with fine carvings and sculptures. The restaurant is a fine dine. When I elaborate on the rooms they are quite huge with a private area of nature. The rooms are lightened with lamps and is equipped with a T. V and the bathrooms are spacious. The bed is cozy and comfortable. I love every single thing of this beautiful hotel — Pousada Palácio Estoi.

One of the most beautiful inns in Portugal and that has given life to e Estoi. Good coffee and menu that changes every 3 months.

The place is very nice with a successful Rococo spirit. However, it lacks a real visit with explanations. Today is a hotel so access is limited.

Nice "Palace" well maintained. Attention, to visit the garden, you have to go through the entrance of the hotel hostel!

Amazing place. The food was great and taking a walk out in the garden at night was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is located in the beautiful palace, with large and very comfortable rooms.
It has an indoor and outdoor pool area with beautiful views of Faro.
The bad thing about the hotel so I have taken away two stars is the service of dinners and breakfasts. At no Pousada have breakfast so bad, little variety of products and also low quality.
The unfortunate dinner… First we were hit by not having booked the table (half a free restaurant) and we were asked to wait 10 minutes. Then what they served was very average, value for money.

A hotel made inn. This very much neglected especially in the paint of the crossed out. The gardens cannot be visited and are abandoned maintenance. The café has a menu of prices that are excessively high (gin and tonic to 12€).

A place with exquisite attention both from the front desk, waitresses and bartenders from the restaurant.

To live in an environment of eighteenth-century luxury. Excellent place to discover the Algarve.

This is now an expensive hotel. However it used to be a bishops retreat and the hotel is set out like the palace of Versailles. The gardens are a mini version and the views are excellent. Worth a morning trip out with lunch in the square afterwards.

Find the palace by chance and at the reception they told us that they could visit the classrooms and gardens. The reception rooms are of classic design and the ceilings are decorated with paintings. Has a restaurant and a coffee shop / café.

Breakfast was dope, staff were very professional, rooms are comfortable and include a nice desk for working. The beds are nice, but just two beds pushed together. Unfortunately a tornado hit the area a few weeks prior and access to the lower event space was unavailable due to liability.

I was not staying at the hotel, I simply took something in its bar. I found the staff friendly but poorly trained. Had an amazing booth of gin and tonics, but when I went to ask one of them had no stock of alcohol to make four of the ten. The price was commensurate. The environment is beautiful and the rooms excellent, comfortable. The view down Beacon are privileged.

Hotel very classy, but the restaurant could be a little more refined compared to the Quad Hotel.

Everything was fine but on our last day after dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, we paid. When we were just about to reach the lift to go to our room 2 waiters came running after us and calling us from the middle of the corridor and said they charged us with the wrong bill. Blá blá bla well. That made us fell beyond uncomfortable. We felt like we were trying to scape without paying the bill. That's was very unpleasant.

The old palace building and gardens are wonderful and give a taste of how the wealthy lived in former times. The hotel staff were friendly and multilingual. A fine hotel and dining in a quaint Portuguese village.

Beautiful place, it is worth just to have a coffee to tour history.

Peaceful location in a beautiful renovated palace. Staff are lovely too. If you're looking for a nice little hideaway for a long weekend this is a great spot.

Sublime hotel… I didn't have the chance to stay in the pousada, but they have the generosity to let tourists visits the main floor and the beautiful garden. Many thanks.

Magnificent palace, converted in a Pousada or Parador, as we would say in Spain.

Estoi Palace is currently being used as a Boutique Hotel in Estoi. However, parts of the Palace are open to tourists. It's baroque architecture is very pretty and has lovely maintained gardens. An interesting place to visit in an otherwise small mediocre town.

Small Southern Palace with good views.

We had reservations in this so-called Palace! What was our disappointment when we arrived close to this hotel! Stray dogs, unsanitary at the doors of this establishment "UN PALACE"! We still decided to visit it but even inside the charm did not have the effect sought the grandiose effect we expect when we book in this type of establishment!

Beautiful building to see, Old Palace, beautiful rooms of receptions the gardens ask to be better maintained if not beautiful stroll among the orange trees and fountains.

Small but very nice Hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly staff. Parking is quite difficult. Open kitchen until midnight.

We spent 6 nights at the Pousada and were very disappointed. The park and the castle itself are beautiful, but you live in a modern annex. The hotel, however, is maximum mediocre. The friendliness of the staff is different, the technical condition of the hotel could be better, the same goes for cleanliness. Clear dust in the reception area, dirt under the carpet, after three days still well visible dead insects in the room, which is not acceptable in a "small luxury hotel". The breakfast buffet was simply unclean and unkempt, a complaint did not bring any improvement.

The hotel is a historic place, built over a antique palace. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and also the bathroom. Unfortunately the room service is open until 10PM. In my case I have arrived almost 1AM and from an international flight connecting from Lisbon… Unfortunately I went to bed hungry this time. The landscape is beautiful and the hotel is on the top of a mountain with a pretty view of the city. Thing that I frequently do to check the quality of the service: eat something from the minibar to check if on the next day it will be replaced was a disaster, since I ate sever food and drinks and didn't have anything replaced. I had to call the reception to rquest this service. In end, I will rate this hotel as a 4 star, since there is nothing better around, but do expect a comfortable place but so not expected a high end service or neither a star service. Before finish, the food is good but nothing more than good. I had a chance to the eat in the restaurant twice and nothing delighted me. I will stay here again if I was about to return to Faro! Keep in mind that since the hotel is quite far from the city, it usually takes 15min for the taxi to arrive to the hotel and another 15min to reach the city center.

Nice palace, well preserved.

Historic palace surrounded by the cozy little village of Estoi. To the baroque mansion itself has been added a modern hotel complex with superior equipped guest rooms. The quality of the interieur, the superb selection of food (breakfast & dinner) as well as the attentive and perfectly friendly staff make this pousada a very special one. Muito obrigado, we'll return!

Nice place, Hotel placed in a historic villa.

I am giving three stars only because of the gorgeous girl standing at the reception who checked us in and helped a lot on 8th and 9th september. The breakfast was poorly managed as the variety of items was far less than expected. I stood for 45 minutes then I got baked beans and the same was the case with omlette. The old age staff servicing at the breakfast table had no clues what they were upto and was simply running here and there with no proper answer coming from any side. We also found a cockroach in our bathroom and then while checking out we mentioned about that to the guy at the reception on 10th morning he was so rude and didnt bothered at all.

We stayed here in late August for a long weekend. It was an enjoyable stay but it wasn't totally what I was expecting. On the positive, it is a beautiful building, and rooms are comfortable with large beds, powerful showers and a terrace. We spent some time by the outdoor pool, which had a bar and plenty of seating. When gusty, the umbrellas would go flying, so worth keeping one eye open! The pool was very cold and you really had to ease yourself in slowly. The heated indoor pool was only heated if you requested it and this took around 20 mins. We had a daily routine of requesting things from one area of the hotel, only to be sent somewhere else, and then back again. We often felt we were causing a hassle! The restaurant was very expensive, as if it were a fine dining place, but it was certainly nowhere near this standard. Dinner seemed to be buffet on several nights, so if you're vegetarian it's worth finding an alternative in Estoi, or asking if you can order from the regular menu. Generally, the hotel staff were unpredictable — — either very professional and quick to assist, or very reluctant to help, dismissive and unenthusiastic. Finally, if the hotel wants to be viewed as upscale, it needs a refresh. The modern decor looks shabby in places, and the lower gardens are totally uncared for. Why buy new garden seats but leave the dirty bubble wrap hanging off!?

Very fancy hotel. Beautiful building and also a very nice garden outside. You can visit the hotel and the garden even if you don't stay there. The food is also great, expensive for Portugal but very good. Worth a visit.

Really lovely place where the weather seems to have stopped. Hotel perfectly renovated with a good interlocking between old… and new.

We stayed 1 night in the hotel and it was a nice experience. Old combined with modern, very nice room as well. We also decided to have dinner at the restaurant which unfortunately costs the hotel 1 star from our rating. We ate one bred and they charged for two persons. A price of 8 EUR for a piece of bred is not something you can experience in Switzerland even. It was also a bit surprising to see that they sent guests away if you didn't make a reservation though there were places available. They don't need it — as long as you eat bred :-).

We entered as tourists to visit the old Palace. You can enter without problems (there is also a bar open at all). Beautiful gardens and Cave.

Beautiful hotel. The bar and restaurant are located in great rooms with great views. Bedrooms are big and comfortable with private and discrete balconies. The gardens are great for a small walk. A little bit fat from Faro center.
