We stayed 5 days in this great country hotel and can only recommend it. It is rural and quiet, yet centrally located between Lagos and Praia da Luz. We will definitely come back.

Overbooking and cancellation of our stay. We can’t say how this hotel was because less than 48hrs before our arrival they cancelled our stay — by just sending an email saying they had decided for us where we would stay instead. We only found out on the day of our arrival that our stay had been cancelled (cause who checks their emails daily on holiday). Upon calling them to understand the issue, they were not only unapologetic and unhelpful but rude. That we should just accept that they rebooked us in another hotel without our consent. Cause you know what’s great? When someone else decides where to spend your holiday money. We wasted about 3hrs of a perfectly sunny afternoon of our holiday on the phone with them and with booking. They claimed that the value of our stay at the place they rebooked us was more so they didn’t see an issue. So a few days of our holidays were spent in a resort instead of a small boutique hôtel, thanks to this hotel being unorganized. Our reservation was made with at least 2 weeks of heads up and they could’ve notified us of their overbooking before we were actually on our holiday.

We are now at the 5. Changes in the Vila Valverde, what is to be alone for this great property. For us, it is the accommodation, our little Paradise off the normal tourist. You will find peace, relaxation, good food and warm hospitality. The rooms, as the whole Hotel are very clean and beautifully furnished with much love for Detail. We still enjoy our last days here to the fullest and look forward to the next time here in the Vila Valverde.

Dreamily quietly located, owner-managed, country hotel with high comfort, stylish facilities, super friendly and competent staff and plenty of space to relax. Perfect as a "retreat oasis" after adventure tours to the interesting and eventful region,
after sunny days on the many different beaches, or after enjoyable excursions in the immediate vicinity.

As the last stop of our honeymoon we had a very special treat: Vila Valverde. A converted farmhouse in the middle of a 5ha park-like area with exclusive entrance and access to the hotel and personal service of the extra class. The hotel is under German-Portuguese management and is mainly suitable for couples. There is no offer for children here, but as a couple on a special trip with a desire for coexistence and relaxation an absolute insider tip.
After the gate to the entrance to the property has opened, you drive through an ancient olive tree avenue towards the parking lot. There we were already received, loaded the luggage into a golf caddy and spent it to the hotel/rooms. In about 3min you can reach the hotel on foot from the parking lot. The rooms (only 15 in total) are very garish and luxuriously furnished. In the evening, the beds are opened and the room is prepared for the night's rest. For the every evening changing menu you can register at the reception until noon and it is (due to the clear number of guests) absolutely worth its price. A great wine accompaniment and a quiet ambience, as no external guests can access the premises. There is no classic bar, but can order all drinks, the reception was only occupied until about 24 o'clock at our time of travel (end of May), but afterwards on standby.

Nothing more: beautiful, small hotel with only 15 rooms. The whole hotel is a feast for the eyes: be it the beautiful planted park or the architecture of the building — here you work with love and you can feel it. The rooms are pleasantly large and offer a lot of comfort (window with sea view, terrace, air conditioning, etc. ). Everything is always cleaned in a flash-blank. Very friendly staff. Wonderful, lovingly prepared breakfast. For us the most beautiful hotel we were able to enjoy so far. We will definitely return! Many thanks to the great team! Keep it up! :)

Absolutely fantastic hotel, beautifully situated on a hill overlooking Luz and the sea. Huge plot, very rural. The hotel itself is decorated in a modern style, a 6-8-metre lobby with a glass roof. Absolutely top.

The stay in this 5 star country Hotel was very enthusiastic! From the first moment on I felt incredibly comfortable. The attentive and friendly service of the owners as well as the staff is particularly noteworthy!. A dream holiday — highly recommended!

We stayed for almost two weeks in this charming hotel. All the staff were courteous and very nice. We felt very comfortable and could only report Positive. We will definitely come back Again.

Dreamlike: old country estate converted into a small family, luxurious hotel. First-class service, warm welcome, excellent cuisine, beautiful large rooms with private terrace, great scenery with far-sighted views of the countryside west of Lagos…

As soon as you open the door to enter the hotel it just hits you with that wow factor, very modern, open and bright. The decoration and furniture all blend together and looks truly amazing, you just know then that you have made the right choice. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave NOTHING is to much for the staff to make your stay and also our wedding the most memorable time of our lives. The rooms… wow everything is just quality and very clean thats all I can say. The service was impeccable, and the food and presentation was truly amazing, be it the breakfast or the wedding meal. The outside areas are beautiful with lovely grounds, beautiful plants with lots of colour and many old olive trees. With only a short distance to Praia da Luz it cannot be faulted. Any negatives… absolutely none, would I stay again, most definitely. We had some bad luck with the weather. At the end of October early November, the autumn is also slowly noticeable, the temperatures rarely climb above 26 degrees – at night at 16 to 18 degrees. The breakfast can be enjoyed just outside, if you do not arrive early in the morning, but only from 10 o'clock when the first warm sun rays penetrate the terrace. In spite of everything we always come back to the Vila Valverde! The whole hotel is beautiful, it is a very nice little design hotel. Very good food, attentive service, a place of tranquility, the Great garden area, we had a room with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. In Praia da Luz certainly the best place for dinner and coffee time. Menu/Dinner 29, — Euro, cappuccino and cakes per person only 7 Euro, food is something for gourmets! For us the right place to relax in Portugal.
