I spent one week in summer 2018 there. It's a nice hotel in a good place in Algarve. The 2 missed starts of 5 are due to following issues: There are not enough deck chairs where you can have some shadow to be protected from the sun in the pool area. This makes really difficult to stay there with little with kids. Second issue is the line for the buffet restaurant. In some days we faced a long line and must wait quite a bit to get a free table. There was also only one coffee machine working for hundreds of people willing to get a coffee in the morning (stay in the line again). The last point is if you don't book "all inclusive" you are going to pay a lot for the snacks and drinks.

Great hotel essentially family. The suites are large and clean. The pool is warm and very beautiful. The animation team at the top nickel bedding. The restaurant offers a wide range of quality.
Almost nothing to complain about.
Very good and competent staff willing to compromise.

Nice hotel, built in modern style. It is located near a beautiful beach. Our room, a quadruple, quite spacious. In the bathroom we would have preferred the shower instead of the bathtub. Beautiful pool area including gardens. A bit repetitive and poor buffet at breakfast and dinner.

Excellent facilities and service. Beautiful, clean, and about a 15 minute walk from the Lagos town area. Very enjoyable place.

The location of the hotel is great, you are fast in Lagos city, shopping, sea, view, everything in the immediate vicinity.
Visually, the hotel is also very beautiful, the interior design of the hotel is a matter of taste.
The pool area is very well maintained but in mid-May it was still very windy by the pool.
The food is rather one-sided but perfect for fish lovers.
The small restaurant by the pool was always great :-)
The staff was always very friendly!
A good hotel, but more suitable for older people or pensioners.

Very nice Hotel in absolute Beach Proximity.
All Attractions can be reached quickly by car Hire.
The Service could be a little better here and there.
Still nice and recommended to go further.

A 4 * Certainly but far too big. Pretty impersonal. Most of the staff is just fine. By cons thanks to TT the staff of the restaurant: friendly, dedicated, efficient and very kind.

Grand hotel with a friendly vibe. Glorious view of a lovely pool and garden and exceptional sea view from the bed! Unusual decor with an 80s style but spotlessly clean. Good gym and spa and 3 minutes stroll from the sea. A 15 minute brisk walk to Lagos Town with good bus and taxi service if required. Good choice at buffet breakfast.

We were very happy with our stay and everyone was helpful to next year thanks.

Nice hotel, but the bar and it’s staff are poor. Not helpful; no service, they ignore you unless you go to the bar and ask for something; very limited options that vary by time of day; can’t make standard drinks if they aren’t on the limited list.

The Sehrschön was very noisy. You have to cross the railway to the beach.

If you have children I highly recommend booking Vila Gale. The kids club is amazing. My children begged to go play every day we stayed. The people that ran the kids club were very good with the kids.

Ultra modern, large and clean. The bar has billar tables. The hotel is walking distance to the beach. And the hotel is a short drive from downtown Lagos and the cliffs near the lighthouse in Lagos. All in all, not a bad place to stay. The only downside is that the restaurants in the area are basic and not walking distance. So, you are driving or eating in their very expensive restaurant.

Friendly, nice and competent people both at the reception, as well as at the service. Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent buffet, well maintained hotel, large pool. Quiet environment and almost right on the beach.

Just spent a week at the Vila Gale ' in Lagos. The weather was unfortunately a bit too cold and slightly rainy to use the very nice outdoor complex. Very nice and large pool area. A few steps to the beach. Golf Course nearby. Large good rooms also with heating on cooler days. Comfortable spacious beds. Clean rooms. Buffet for breakfast and dinner (plentiful). Nice indoor pool with sauna. Massages for an additional fee. Good fitness room. Friendly staff. TV room and small library with Internet. Walking distance to the city about 15 minutes. Overall recommended.

Heaven on earth in as many ways as possible. Not one thing I could find wrong.

Perfectly adequate. Close to town and beach. Clean and tidy with things for kids.

Very well maintained hotel with the theme of fashion and design.
The room 2109 is clean, well maintained and large enough.
The staff is friendly and helpful at any day and night.
The complex with pool, spa area and playground offers variety for every day.
The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner always offers something to be satisfied. We have also not noticed the volume that is often raised. We in every hotel in this size it will be a little louder in this place.
The way to the beach is about a 7-minute walk away. A bus stop is right next to the hotel to get to Lagos.
Suggestions for improvement are: Unfortunately, there is no hotel-owned leisure activity. Billiards and darts must be paid. The game machine also costs money. The darts are all velvet defective.
You can rent a football and mini golf free of charge. The evening entertainment can be expensive.
The pool is not heated and the whirlpool is just over 30 °c.
We would spend our holiday here again.

Amazing short break in this beautiful hotel, would recommend to everyone and especially anyone who is Coeliac or gluten intolerant as they make sure you are catered for. Rooms are beautiful & spacious, beds are very comfortable and the staff are fantastic.

Really nice and you can pick up the oranges yourself for the juice.

Christmas dinner Buffet: As in a canteen. No atmosphere, food OK. Nothing special.

I can't say much because I only had lunch during a tour, but it made a good impression and I found it to be as good as the other hotels in the chain Vila Gale '

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. To the beach you have to cross a road and railway line outside the hotel Complex.

Same hotel chain very stylish beautiful large swimming facility from there just across the road directly on 6 km long sandstone nice wide and can run well into the sea in the bar no more expensive than in the dining room very nice and well kept and evening music US dance event very quiet Located to the city maybe 15 min. Lagos is a beautiful city and versatile have nothing to Fault. Portugal is generally a very clean and friendly country helpful but with German talk is not so the case partly all in all I love this country today as I did 30 years ago when I was there even once was recommending LG Edeltraud Romans Sch.

A hotel that deserves the four stars that has clean, well kept, nice, a varied Buffet and a very professional staff.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good varied food – unfortunately often cold, short walk to wide sandy beach, children's Entertainment.
In October also endure from the temperatures and probably fewer children, therefore quiet.

We stayed here not long after it opened and found it very enjoyable. The cocktails were great, pool was fab (though cold in May! ) and location to the beach was fab. Bit of a walk into the town but we used this as an excuse to go down the beach.

I really love this hotel, it is family friendly and it is walking distance from the beach. It has some great swimming pools and the All inclusive is amazing. I love the workers there as well, always very friendly and nice. Been there 3 years in a row, I really recommend it, especially because children below 12 don't pay!

Hotel Facilities Good. Restaurant too Noisy. Food too cold and either barely or too much spiced.

Very nice place. The sea views are spectacular, but if you get a room with a view of the countryside, you get a big disappointment.
You have to pay extra price if you want sea views.

Hotel rooms are modern and nice but you can hear every single move from your neighbour rooms. Floors in the rooms are not 4 star hotel clean. The breakfast room is like a huge cantine or a railway station — very noisy. The cheese and ham they offer at their breakfast is worse than the cheapest stuff you can find in any discounter. Some of their staff are so unfriendly! Two big exceptions are a guy at the reception and the lady who mostly worked at the pool bar. May be someone from the management should sometimes have his breakfast there ;-)

Amazing facilities. Although when the hotel is complete. The breakfast service is a bit limited. It collapses quite as they have little staff at that time. Very expensive bar and restaurant services. Beer 40 CL 6 euros I think it's a brutality. But the quiet and the large swimming pool…

Not made for the French no charms mediocre buffets, noisy (poorly insulated)

Spectacular! 3 days in total relaxation, highly recommended!
In the morning sea and rocks in the afternoon deckchairs pool and then spa!

Huge resort in a quite zone near the biggest beach of Lagos. So if you want tranquillity, you can find here… If you want more activity, choose an hotel in the centre of Lagos. As family, we were happy to be in the quite. Superb the present for the birthday of my wife. 2 pieces of cake and a bottle of wine in room in the afternoon (thank you very much for it). The resort is very big so, in the morning, you can find your breakfast a bit crowded. Avoid central time.

Brilliant hotel. Great staff. Large pool. Clean rooms. 2 restaurants and a snack bar. All inclusive, half board and B&B options. Family friendly. Kids club and play ground. Diving club, beach volleyball, tennis courts. Very modern. Near beach.

The location to the beach and the enormous swimming pools are worth it. The hotel has a modern feel and the breakfast is superb. Recommended staying if you plan to go to Lagos.

Nice place… maybe a bit pricey but the high season definitely allows it.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It was the end of our 5 week trip and what a disappointment. Firstly the hotel is enormous and staff find it very difficult keeping tabs on who is coming and going. When we arrived there were people waiting to get into their room for nearly 2 hours. There were massive queues to get into breakfast from 9:00 onwards. (So much so they bought down entertainment for the people waiting which could be over an hour. ) Around the pool during the day, they had people calling out bingo games, teenagers doing a dance routine to the same song everyday, playing loud music and no staff clearing the area around the pool. They did not supply water in the room yet left information saying the water wasn't suitable to drink Explaining that it was high in calcium. We had two rooms and in one of the rooms the air conditioner didn't work. It kept switching off every 10min. We stayed 4 nights and told them twice a day with no one explaining to us what was wrong. The last night they said someone had looked at it and said it was fine explaining that sometimes this happens. (it didn't happen once In the other room). They offered us a free buffet dinner which we turned down, mainly because the food was mass produced everyday, seating hundreds of people and lots of kids running around the room. Lastly the hotel is a 15 min drive to a town car park and a 40min walk into the town centre.

A little too packed for breakfast and dinner but an excellent pool and access to surrounding beauties of the Algarve coast. Nice rooms, especially with the sea-pool view.

Very nice complex. Beautiful pools, beautiful spa, fantastic beach ECJ is very close. Very good and varied breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice 4 star hotel, sea view very beautiful. Original pool with seagulls and gulls show, but noisy restaurant and few waiters with a smile…

Nice hotel, but unfortunately bad food. Spices are missing part completely. To get clogged salt & pepper shakers. Abzocke then prices of soft drinks (€6 for a soft drink).
For us, it is a smaller hotel back. It's also better for the development of the region and it is not so obviously took over the ear.

A very good hotel, not even 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean with very good menu, clean and well equipped rooms and Nice staff. The hotel has earned really 5 star. I forgive only 4, since the animations the pool very loud, which totally overdriven speakers and works were the animators pretty awkward.
But all in all, the hotel has a very high level.

Attention to the customer, varied buffet, rooms (in our case was familiar) excellent, the SPA a luxury and very relaxing.
Pools ideal and numerous activities for children.

Hotel very good. However, the very good dinner must be warmer.

The vacation was very nice dinner you could do better for the environment if I had mer expected but otherwise a nice holiday would come back maybe still.
