I visited the bar on the terrace with stunning views of the beach and the centre.
Very pleasant atmosphere, good service and a lot of friendliness from the staff.
Recommend.

I've had 10yrs of it so far — can't wait to get back (14 weeks — not that I'm counting! ).

The renovated rooms are lovely. Breakfast very nice & all the staff are very helpful would definitely recommend & think that we will return.

Really convenient town centre hotel. The beach and many restaurants/bars close by.

1st time staying here friendly staff great breakfast ideal location for town and beach. Rooms clean and tidy will recommend.

Mum and dad stayed there, great base for us visitors, toilet and bar at the end of the night, close to main beach.

TV not working properly. Rooms windows were too close to the street, no intimacy. Service was kind Asked for a double bed but two singles instead Breakfast was ok. Location was perfect. Easy to park. The hotel parking was small.

Awesome location. Rooms are dated but the hotel is due to be refurbished to a 5 star. Re-branding as Carvoeiro Plaza.

I can't recommend staying there. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location, which is as close to the beach as you can get with little shops and restaurants around. Which also means you might get the full blast of music outside if there is a lot going on. We had a DJ by the beach, so it was quite load. There was no way I would be able to get any sleep before 1am, which was fine as I was quite happy staying up anyway. I also felt it was quite overpriced and quality of anything doesn't seem of much concern to the owner. The rooms are quite horrible and need renovation asap. Felt a bit like staying at a youth hostel. Bathroom looks a bit like it has travelled through time. The hair dryer definitely has and was pretty much useless. Breakfast was ok. Nothing exciting but quite standard / edible. I wish I would have met the staff other reviewers speak very highly of. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience. As I had a car I needed a hotel where I could park. So before I booked the room I called them to ask if they had parking. They said they did, so I made the booking. When I got there, there was no parking available as they only have six small spots. People park as they come and go, so there is no guaranteed parking, which the member of staff failed to mention on the phone. This wouldn't have been so bad, hadn't they been so terribly patronising in person. Telling me, oh well, on the phone was earlier on the day, now it's different.

Love this place fantastic had black white festival last night till 3 morning displays live music fireworks great atmosphere. Great location shops bars restaurants beach came 10 years ago came back fabulous staff very nice very helpful great breakfast rooms nice had one looking over square live music every night great for children hotel has a lovely pool too noddy train good would definatly come back views are amazing.

Very good hotel with excellent value for money located in the heart of the resort of Carvoeiro has 2 steps from the beach and shops. Friendly and very professional staff.
Some refreshment would make it perfect. Very good breakfast.

No Wi-Fi in the rooms. Seriously. Breakfast is poor in both quality and quantity. In those two nights I stayed there, I would arrive to find an empty buffet (still 1h before the end of the breakfast time), sit and watch until they eventually refill the table. Even cutlery wasn't readily available. Rooms were too warm and had a strange smell. Since we had no windows, only a door to the pool area, we could only ventilate the room once we arrived at the end of the day. The staff was friendly indeed, and I value that, but this is not what makes an hotel "three stars". Disappointing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs urgent renovation as it is still anchored in the 70. The rooms are large but the beds are extremely hard, there is no way to rest. The curtains should change them as soon as dawn comes too much light.

I just spent 10 wonderful days here as a 50 something, lone female traveller. Perfect and very safe location, comfortable room and pleasantly surprised to find kettle, mini fridge & hairdryer available (not evident on website). Made the mistake of booking room only — so no brekkie for me — but cheap and available nearby. Happy hour 6pm to 8.30pm for half price drinks. Pleasant and very friendly staff. Very small pool and sunbed area; in the shade mornings but blasting sun in the afternoons — water too icy for me to swim, but cooled off in poolside shower. Poolside bar service a little sporadic. Recommended although, personally, I would prefer a self catering apartment next time.

Fantastic beach location. Decent breakfast food selection. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment at close of season (October 2017) I have seen the interior of the new style rooms and when completed it will be a very stylish boutique hotel.

A great located hotel close to the beach and the local shops and restaurants. Basic rooms with small balcony over looking the square which has entertainment nightly till 11ish. Rooms are dated and could do with modernizing. Double bed with a very firm mattress. Kettle and small fridge in room which are handy. Breakfast has a good selection if a little cold. Small but nice pool area with its own bar for drinks and snacks. Pool freezing cold. Friendly and pleasant staff available at all times.

Aww this place is absolutely fab — basic but spotlessly clean, the location is the best you can get, the staff can't do enough for you and I will be coming back again for sure! Love this place, we've got a sea/square view and it's totally amazeballs… I'm going to be very sad to leave xxxx.

Poor cleanliness and breakfast x as far as my experience, to be central is central, but Carvoeiro is hypertouristy. Although on booking it was a sea view or pool room we found with courtyard view… with work in progress for the façade.

It is on this place are all the animations of this place.
About the hotel itself, it seems to stay on the acquis of its location and begins to smell musty in 30 years.
You can see from the entrance. The hotel could begin to cool off a little furniture and the rooms…
