Stay may 2018 beautiful location facing the sea even though a lot of stairs. The room, clean, is more than old-fashioned. Food and breakfast not great at all… to avoid. Wi-Fi only at reception.
We will not return.

We stay 4 nights in this hotel, the breakfast is made for all, from sugar to salted, juice at will. The hotel is old, it is very outdated. The rooms are well just for sleeping, private bathroom, terrace, no kitchen… The only problem with the room was that there were 2 beds one person… Comfort level is not the best.
Apart from that the staff is top except certain people, as everywhere…
The indoor pool is top, at a good temperature unlike the outside.
Beach level we're not bad! You can even walk along the cliffs that overlooks the oura Beach, plan a good pair of shoes in Tong it is galley in the end we will not return but we are happy to have stayed! I advise the old person wanting to rest!

Good hotel cleaning and friendly. Food good and plenty of choices. Nice cakes. Cleaning towels every day. Comfortable bed. Lovely views and nearby beaches. Close to the strip but far enough not to hear it. Not so god entertainment. But overall good hotel will come again.

Spent 5 fantastic days here. Staff are helpful and friendly and the food was nice with a good selection. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily and the pools are a good size with unbelievable views of the ocean and beach.

Had an absolutely brilliant few days. The food was wonderful and so were most of the staff. Would love to return some time.

Nice place, clean rooms with everything you need. All inclusive menu is a bit limited but everything is well cooked and palatable. Nice location too, walking distance of alll of the local attractions and good road linka too.

We enjoyed every minute (of 3 weeks) at this resort. The food (buffet style) was varied and well cooked. The place is ideally situated near the sea, several swimming pools outdoors and indoors. Apartments clean, spacious, and regularly cleaned linen changed. Has its own free bus service to Albufiera Town centre. Friendly staff. Can fully recommend it to anyone.

Well for the price you can not ask for more, some cámareros unfriendly with the Spaniards, very nice with the English and German, rooms well, beds well, regular food, if s stubborn would go again, but try to find another and pay a little more.

Room and bathroom dirty. Stayed in A block, 3rd floor. Water dripping from ceiling into our bathroom and hallway floors meant it was extremely slippy and I almost fell. All inclusive was OK, food palatable but the wine was awful and undrinkable. Other drinks ok. Reported concerns to tour operator and hotel staff which wasn't dealt with by either. This happened on first day. The water ingress from the ceiling has been happening for a while because the metal frame around the ceiling and the cladding were rusty. Make your own mind up if you want to risk getting a room as poorly maintained as ours. Our week wasn't cheap at £1300 so you can understand why we were not happy.

The hotel, which has already been a little bit over the years, is probably back in the upswing. It has been much refurbished the rooms have Samsung TV so very nice.

Well, it's enough to sleep. Location to beach is very good. Food was not great with us and usually always the same.

Very good kitchen but a lot of stairs outside and to get to the rooms it's too far, to get to the beach you have to go down the dunes, to advise against the elderly.

The staff are fantastic. Good choice of food. Need to bring back the outside entertainment they are in a great place for it with the hot weather. Been there 4 times.

The rooms are absolutely underground, dirty and frumpy. The staff is completely unenthusiastic and unmotivated and totally unfriendly.
The food is entirely geared towards our English friends and annoys at the very first day.
The hotel complex is unbelievable and completely illogical, so you get your feet sore.
Filth and filth everywhere, just bad!
Never ever again!
Nevertheless, Portugal is really beautiful and here is a beautiful patch of Earth.

The hotel Auramar has been extensively renovated in 1988 the last time. I was 1988 there and regularly the next 15 years, then again 2017. The facility including the room is now totally abgerummt, all old, from 1988 just, I even recognized the furniture. The Tommies are drinking here by the pool the Hucke, we were almost the only ones who were not tattooed. Not suitable for families, and even those who want to book an "adventure holiday" have far better alternatives in Albufeira. No recommendation.

Everything was to our satisfaction. The room was big and clean. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the rich breakfast. I can't confirm the bad reviews.

Helpful and friendly staff. Great service. Food gets a bit boring if you're there for more than a week as it repeats. Daily entertainment. If you're all inclusive then pool bar serves drinks from 11am to 5pm. Then another bar opens up from 5pm to 11pm.

For a three star hotel very tidy. This hotel, however, benefits from its extraordinary beautiful location, directly on the Atlantic Ocean.

Many stairs to move around the enclosure and throughout the weekend I was the Buffet food was the same. One of the days we ate without a drink because there was only one waiter for the whole room. The staff was not very nice.

Good clean basic room. Ready for upgrading but excellent for the price. Wide selection of foods on the breakfast buffet. They very much cater the foods to British clientele.

Old Hotel and very sloppy. Pesimo service… We had more than 25 minutes to do the Checquin. The tub was jammed. Against good environment, economic.

The Hotel is very friendly All inclusive, the food repetitive but very good quality. A few very nice days.

No negative replies here. Yes the hotel is dated but rooms are tidy and ours was big with a breathtaking seaview. Food is fine and staff were brilliant. Lovely break from the cold british winter. Will be coming back definetly.

Very bad about the treatment of some waiters and the manager.
He is claimed for incidents and treats the client aggressively and as if they were criminals.
The Director does not live up to the treatment that must be dispensed to customers.
I have seen very unpleasant scenes in the dining room and other services, even though they have not been with me.

Good hotel The only drawback not to have access for people disabled to get down to the lower part of the hotel.

Rooms were a little bit dated but were clean staff very nice food was good. Also access to a lovely beach and a good size pool and a smaller pool for the kids.

We just returned from a beautiful holiday at this hotel. It has a great location with a fabulous sea view from most areas. The hotel is on a headland with easy access to the main beach at Albufeira and via a tricky coastal path to Oura. Both beaches are stunning. The weather was great and very warm in the sun. The food at the hotel was great, lovely Portuguese speciality dishes and plenty of fish dishes and fresh salads and vegetables as well as the usual burgers. Food is serve yourself with drinks served by very attentive and polite waiting staff. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and the whole hotel was clean and well maintained (although it shows its age in places). Great value.

Bad experience, I do not recommend it to anyone. The rooms are spacious but very old and deteriorated. No Heat. The drink is terrible, all cheap brands. In the bathroom only put a few tablets of soap, no hairdryer and all very old, the curtain of the tub was apulgarada and disgusted. It does not have access to disabled for the beach and it is a somewhat complicated road for older people. It does not have lactose-free milk for intolerant, as in the dining room do not specify that allergens carry each dish and if you ask the staff they can not tell you. And the worst the deal they gave us to the Spaniards. On Sunday we had lunch included and we were not allowed to make it to any Spaniard who stayed the weekend from November 3-5, 2017. We asked for an explanation and they just said it was the director's Order and company policy. It was a complete shame, I will never go back to this place even if I gave it away. I stay in any hotel in Spain that sure caters much better and we have better qualities.

I have never seen a more complicated and tired hotel. Stairs everywhere, to go from one part to another and on the open air with which you get wet if or if at this time, that if you are lucky and do not slip before.
The rooms are ugly, old, sloppy and dirty.
The food is not bad.
The reception staff speaks any language except the Spanish thing that surprised me as they had many Spanish customers.
I definitely do not go back or crazy!

Just had a lovely three night break here. Had a lovely time. Pool and views across to the sea stunning. Staff seemed friendly and polite. Food was good enough for what you are paying for. Hotel does need some refub throughout but it's clean and functional just a bit retro. Lovely sea view from balcony. You can get a kettle if you ask at reception. Beds were firm but surprisingly very comfy and slept well. No critters seen and clean sheets and towels daily.

The hotel is being renewed. Change of the televisions in the rooms, new painting…
Don't take the lobby in this hotel! It is useless because the food is not varied, and in town, even walking there, it is not expensive.
For drinks, the wine in carafe is really not good! There are only 5 cocktails planned (including 1 in coffee and 1 without alcohol), all year round, and frankly its not sending dream.
We bought in the supermarket bottles of Portuguese wines at €3, really good, we drink in the room. So better and less expensive than the hall-in.
Otherwise very nice swimming pools, access to a superb beach and a part of a bit wild, nice staff, very nice animators who offer activities for all.
The hotel is beautifully flowered.

Don't listen to the bad reviews! We travelled as a couple for one week all inclusive in mid-September and it was fine. Yes it's a bit dated but it's clean, the food is decent, the staff are friendly and the location is brilliant. The pool is huge and there were always plenty of sun beds throughout the day. Only downside is no English TV channels other than news ones.

We've just returned from the auramar beach resort hotel albuthera I read most of the reviews and found some rather confusing there was no hairdryer in the room so thankfully I took my own. The food we found was better than reviewed so they may of changed the chef. On a lighter note yes it was a little dated but at least the room was clean, it was nice to have a big bottle of water and fresh fruit on arrival would we stay here again yes definitely.

Great hotel considering its only 3 star hotel. Facilities are great, pool is large and there's always enough sun beds. Beach is literally on the doorstep. Only issue would be lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms but with the roaming charges on data dropped in Europe not really a huge drawback. Hotel needs a bit of love here and there but otherwise it's been a nice stay.

Very good location, great view of the pool and restaurant. Very nice staff. We ate well. Tiny room and very tacky bathroom correct, the air conditioning terribly noisy. The terrace ridiculously small and noisy (the air cooler is on the terrace)

The hotel is nice enough. Do not expect luxury. Amazing beach nearby, great numbers of places to party nearby. Definitely for younger people with strong desire to be a part of nightlife scene.

We stayed for 15 days in Portugal, and unfortunately this hotel was the one that was the most expensive of all and the one we were least satisfied with. First, the rooms are very outdated, the bed is of a quality sofa-bed so very thin and not comfortable. We stayed in Hostels in Portugal which were much more comfortable. The cleanliness of the rooms also leaves a desire. The Wi-Fi does not go into the rooms, and the Wi-Fi connection in the lobby is not strong enough to connect. We wanted to call a taxi, the person at the front desk mentioned us that we had to pay $50 euro to call a taxi. We told him that it would be nice to have a stronger access to Wifi in order to communicate with a transport service. That's when the employee put his hands on his ears to not hear us talk! I had never seen this in my whole life! Wow! Put your hands on your ears so you don't hear the customer talk. Personally working in the hotel business, I do not recommend this property at all. Positive, the hotel gives a nice access to the beach and the pool is good. In short, pity for us that this is the hotel that we paid the most expensive and were least satisfied! Luckily we were only there one night!

Situated in a beautiful part of the Algarve overlooking the Atlantic it has amazing views and fantastic beaches close by. Close enough to stroll to local bars and restaurants in the evening but far enough away to have peace and quiet when you return.

We went here on a stag do so was ideal for us. The pool was the best part of the hotel. Rooms were dated but relatively tidy. We were all inclusive food wise this was ok but the drinks were limited to 1 small cup per person which was not good. Another great point was the views and the location directly on the beach and a 5 minute walk to the main strip.

Excellent Hotel with friendly staff. Fantastic views and close to the beach. Lovely walks to the old town or to the strip, the pool was nice and clean. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. People who give it a bad review must want 5 star service from a 3 star hotel. Plenty of entertainment on for families We will definitely be returning. Thanks for making our holiday an enjoyable one.

When we first got to the hotel at 12:00 we waited 2 hours for our room to be ready since our room would be ready at 2:00. At 2:00 we asked if our room was ready and they said no, they told us to come back in 15 minutes. At 2:20 we asked them if our room was ready yet. Still not ready. We waited till 2:40 then asked if our room was ready, still not ready. One of the staff sorted out another room whereas the others didn't even apologize. When we first arrived in our room, it was very dusty, one of the bed sheets had blood on it from the previous occupants. The room was very basic and we had to ask for a kettle. Air conditioning didn't work but room was very cold anyway. Some staff were friendly but most were rude and ignorant. Very close to the beach and nice view from the room but if you are in a wheelchair then I would not recommend trying to go to the beach since you can only get there by foot.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay again at this hotel. Spotless rooms, friendly staff and delicious food with plenty of choice. Great holiday and can't wait to return again!

The hotel itself is quite old. But it is in a good area. Breakfast and dinner are quite varied. The food, as it is the restaurant that is opposite to the pool and is small, there was lots of variety. The good news is that you can eat on the terrace.

We returned back from auramar 4 weeks ago and this is an honest review Ignore people who write all the bad reviews the hotel is spot on a good 3 star. In my opinion it's a 4 star because people are saying its a 2 star and it gained a star for location so I give it a four main pool is massive and very deep it's great for diving my husband and daughter learnt how to! The second pool is out back and is pretty big but not to deep. It also has 2 kiddie pools and an indoor pool so the hotel has 5 pools! Alcohol drinks are fine but soft drinks are served from cheap versions of brands in warm plastic bottles which makes you want to walk up 80 steps to go to the lobby shop. My daughter made 3 friends. I was happy because she met 2 English and 1 German friend. The hotel has people from all over! The rooms are dated but ok and clean we were in b block 107 we were on top of bins but we could see the sea in the background. My daughter and her friends would play in the pool all the day because the kids clubs are around for 6 year olds. But the animation team were so funny at night time my daughter and her friends would go to hammocks on a hill in the evening as it was to crowded in the bar at evening time … Overall wouldn't come back here on all inclusive. And at lunch time were you eat is like a rundown prison canteen which stinks which isn't pleasant so I would come half board. But decent holiday.

Had a weeks all inclusive here. Great location for beech, lovely pool area. Food good quality and pretty much something for everyone. My only complaint was lunch time food was served by the pool in a canteen style and when it got busy there were long queues.

Superb quality-price, the all inclusive is very very decent, at least two of the three meals will be great day if and day also, on some occasions, the desserts you want to ignore everything else and go crazy… … Right next to the beach, with private driveway even with a pool fairly decent, depending on the time the amount of people can overcome what was desirable, but it has a huge amount of space, so that you will not suffer either. Is just to the side of one of the two areas of progress of albufera, with which you will not have to go very far to find a good atmosphere, recommended the nightclub Kiss, the best there is and in fact the nearest.

This hotel is incredible value. We stayed half board so my experience was from that perspective but there is little to find fault with. The bad points first… Well there is only one. The rooms are a little tired and in need of some refurbishment, however the housekeeping staff keep the rooms clean and fresh. The rest is all good. The staff are great, really friendly and helpful. Most seem multilingual and good with English, German and Russian. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. The grounds and communal areas are immaculate and the location of the hotel is perfect with stunning views and amazing beaches nearby. They provide free buses to the old town and 'the strip' is only a 10 minute walk away but does not encroach on the area around the hotel so it is nice and peaceful.

Stayed here for 7 days loved my experience here just did not like the food and its not the staff fault but that annoying cockrill next door kept me up some night and woke me up really early overall the staff was brilliant and made the experience so enjoyable. Yasmin/sonya at receptions are such lovely people nothing was ever to much trouble. Then to name just a few tiago/alfonso was fabulous at the bar made me feel so welcoming. And the dinner team was amazing I would come back here just not for 7 days I love my sleep and my food to put myself through it for that length of time.

Location, acceptable food at the average us a bit short and repetitive. Much better dinner. Close to bars.

Relaxing environment, staff ok, rooms need some work, close to the beach by foot, easy to park and nice swimming pool. Room with small kitchen to prepare simple ditches. A/c helps. Maintenance in the room needed. It's ok for 3 nights at a €44 a night per room.

The hotel services were very good, the price we got the holiday for we could not complain. But we found reason! When we arrived not only was the room leaking from the ceiling but the bed had 3 legs! The reception staff were polite but offered no suitable solution. That was night one. From that point on, the staff we came into contact we were not only unprofessional but were utterly rude. We had a door slammed in our face, just for asking if the spa was open. We love Albufiera and everyone of the locals we came into contact with are really nice, unfortunately the jewel in the crown that is the Algarve has a blemish.

Come here every year it is excelent.

For those seeking to disconnect from the routine, this resort is great. The best, the beach q have less than 50 metres accessible direct from the resort, simply delighted.

This was a very cheap holiday anyone looking for same you get what you pay for no luxary here but great value for money.

We were in the high season (August) at the hotel Auramar. The rooms are cosy and equipped with the most important. For save and air conditioning to be paid additionally. The room be made thoroughly. The shower is not working properly. It splashed only from the hose. There no real water jet came out and changed the water temperature from cold to hot in one shower gear. In the morning, the buffet was quite alright. By the many guests and little staff you had to wait for but long at the unabgeräumten table cutlery, man received. The buffet in the evening consisted mostly of fried and fried foods. Every day the same menu was ready with a few a few amendments. The most the Unfriendliness of the staff at the reception desk has bothered me. We left but not spoil the holiday us, because the Algarve has to offer very much beautiful and worth seeing and we were anyway all day on the road.

Location: very nice. Directly on the sea, 30 minutes walk on the beach in the old town of Albufeira. In a few minutes in the "strip-Street", almost like on Mallorca the ham Street. Beautiful small leaping worth exploring it. Have found a nice little pottery where you can pick up cheap souvenirs. Facilities: The rooms are functional, you sleep just inside. The clean leaves to be desired. However you get a fresh hand or bath towel every day if you put the used on the ground. Unfortunately, the wall between the bathroom and room was moldy sometime, thus some dismal repair attempts had failed and to see thick bubbles blown up. But further not bad. Personnel: Is super nice, friendly and courteous. Food: Yes, you say what? Just English! French fries, beans, eggs in any form! But it went. Could be alternating. For all people. Group.

Auramar has been and remains one of the most beautiful hotels of the location and investment here, a fantastic garden with many beautiful trees and plants, the view is stunning, had a lovely room 301 in block b, with fantastic views of the sea. Every day towels and three clean sheets, food and beverages at all were clean and clean made inclusive well, hamburgers and roast beef, fish, wild, by jam-English breakfast, biscuit up to cakes, in short eating and drinking from 8 to 23:00 so much how can, surely there is a difference between a 4-star hotel, the staff was correct, work properly, so never too friendly, but at a distance and that maybe not always so friendly works show, quiz or music, every evening.
