Perfect hotel. Wonderful location. Near the sea and the old town. Nice staff. Hotel very clean and tidy.

Quite disappointing, arrived and was told they couldn't find my booking. The facilities and Wi-Fi were definitely not up to scratch, the breakfast was garbage. The staff were lovely however and did what they could to help, unfortunately they just didn't have much to work with. A lot of hostels/backpackers had better beds and facilities.

We felt mislesd by all the positive reviews. This is a cheap, two-star hotel. Very old and outdated. Attracts a really unpleasant crowd. We never got to enjoy the pool because sun bathers show up early in the morning to save their spot for the day. The old carpet smells, the breakfast is plain, and the hotel doesn't actually help book any amenities besides the hotel transfer. We recommend scheduling the transfer though because the driver will pick you up directly inside the airport holding a sign with your name on it. That was just about the only part of the hotel that warrants greater than 1 star. Stay away from this hotel and Albufreira in general.

Basic but clean and tidy, location for old town perfect.

Lovely hotel at the top of the old part of town with stunning views over the town and sea views. Pleasant helpful staff good rooms and not expensive.

Very good hotel. Prices were very good, and the staff are friendly enough. The location is perfect for going to the old town and the beach as its literally a 2 minute walk to the restaurants, bars and beach, but still out of the way enough to not be disturbed by the loudness of the town. The only reason its got 4 stars and not 5 is that the rooms are very dated and really need refurbishment and the cleaning staff, as friendly as they are, we're outside the doors shouting to each other down the corridor at 8am even with a do not disturb sign on the door. But other than that great say!

Great hoilday. Only issue with our room was the noise the water system made. Easily sorted because we found the switch to turn it off!

The Hotel was very clean and the room was clean and the breakfast was very small.
Not recommended.

Still stuck here for 10 days, first ever time I have wished my holidays away. Staff VERY ignorant / avoid room 224 if you want any sleep (day or night), in fact avoid the place full stop. When people say "You get what you pay for " well we didn't even get that! I asked for a room that could be got to via the lift due to my mum having a serious back injury, """what did we get? The floor that is NOWHERE near a lift "" You don't get any of the requests you ask for. If all you want is a place to leave your bags then this will suit you! NO BOLCONY ON FLOOR WE STAYED ON / JUST A WINDOW THAT EVERYONE COULD SEE INTO / RESIDENTIAL FLATS ACROSS ROAD, SO MANY PEEPING TOMS! Do not take into consideration the pictures of the rooms, our room resembled NOTHING like those they put on the site to entice you to book, don't take into consideration the lovely photos of the outside, it's all to sell the place. In the 10 days we spent here out sheets where NEVER changed (just need made). While we was here we saw a family struggling with a old man who could hardly walk struggling to bring him down steps (even though they had a small lift) why was it not made available to this family? This hotel is owned by the same company who own the Hotel Sol e Mar. The place is like Piccadilly circus with noisey people in and out all hours of the night. Right outside the Window of room 422 are the church bells ringing tunes (15 mins non stop one day.

Very average breakfast.

Perfectly place in the old town with the beach and shops within a five minute walk. The rooms are on the small side and a tad dated, but they're cleaned daily and the AC is powerful enough to keep a penguin happy. Room 115 is to be avoided at all costs as the only thing you'll see out the window is a tiny courtyard used continuously by staff, and to even just see the sky you'll have to crane your neck out the window. After getting moved from this dungeon like room we were placed in a room looking out towards the sea, and the views at sunrise are stunning. All in all a decent hotel.

Fab place to stay — central for the main square and lots of shops and restaurants. Lovely pleasant staff who keep everywhere lovely and clean. Our 2nd visit and definitely won't be our last.

After a rocky start to our Holiday we got moved to the villa recife, they were very helpful on arrival and made us feel very welcome the staff here are lovely rooms clean and tidy pool really nice only downfall is one side of the pool is shaded from around 2pm my only reason for loosing one star would definitely recommend stayin here you are litrally stone throw away from the beach and the old town where their is plenty of places to eat and drink and the night life is amamzing we will most definitely be back here to stay.

Great position and view although the sewer smell that comes from the boiler (which is inside the room) is unbearable. Apart from that furniture is outdated, the lights are partially working and there are way too many seagulls around. It's got a great view but you can hear everything from the old center which forces you to keep the windows closed. So it's a two star hotel, in a great position, decent for the money.

The beds and sheets are from Grandma's house in town.
At 12:05, 300 seconds past check out (I delayed), knocks at the door of the room the cleaning lady, who without greeting or saying anything, only the clock is pointed. I apologize and tell him we're already dating. Still no talking and the clock is pointed with a bad face, then begins to rebuke me, I apologize and close the door while I continue to scold and saying "No no no … " ". I deliver the keys at 12:08, only 8 minutes late.

Room was simple but effective, air con was nice and it was clean. Close to the square which was good, and the breakfast was nice!

Good location Breakfasts are lacking in typical products and real fruit juices.

No big claims, not a big cleaning but overall the convenience of the location makes it good to stay. Pity there is no area dedicated to parking.

Great value for money idea for a cheap week on the lash… local bar blue bell 15 mins walk to bar street… returning again this yr on the 18th June…

Great value for money and very good location Me and my partner stayed for 4 nights at a cost of £150 /person including the flight from London Gatwick with Easyjet. The location is well situated so that you can be at the beach in about 10 mins by foot, and with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. This also means that you can easily avoid the annoying greedy restaurant staff that tirelessly look to grab you off of the street and into their restaurant anywhere in the centre, even at the expense of rudely interrupting your conversation or tranquillity. There's a pool, although we didn't use it. The room had ample space. The towels weren't changed one day but we were fine with this since we find no need to have them changed daily. Soap was provided by shampoo wasn't, but we did think to bring our own. We were on the ground floor and voices and sounds echoed down the corridor. Some visitors were either oblivious to this or simply didn't care. The duration of the noise wasn't an issue for us, but I would imagine that it could be more of an issue during the peak of the holiday season with many more occupants. Stayed April 2009, travelled as a couple.
